Good day all. I saw this story last week and put a forehead shaped dent in my desk. The Vanderbilt University Women’s Center has decided to to teach men on how to have “Healthy Masculinity.”
Vanderbilt University is a private collage that was provided a $1 million dollar endowment by Railroad Magnate Cornelius Vanderbilt. Other than what is on the Wikipedia page, I know nothing about the university. However, I think Mr. Vanderbilt is now rotating at high speed in his grave over this bit of idiocy. Here are the details from MRCTV:
Vanderbilt University’s Women’s Center will be hosting a week-long event dedicated to lecturing men about what it means to have “healthy masculinity.” The “Healthy Masculinities Week” is sponsored by Vanderbilt’s Margaret Cuninggim Women’s Center, which claims to be devoted to “Celebrating Women” while “Empowering All.”
The mission of the Women’s Center is to affirm a “space for all members of the Vanderbilt community that acknowledges and actively resists sexism, racism, homophobia, and all forms of oppression while advocating for positive social change.”
That so called “Mission Statement” tells you all you need to know about this so called “Women’s center.” The phrase “A pack of shrieking harpies” comes to mind.
Reading through the, I guess you could call this drek a syllabus, you can’t escape the conclusion that the goal of these moonbats is creating a generation of wimps.
“Healthy Masculinities Week” hopes to encourage men to “[e]xplore healthy masculinity through various lenses,” such as “American society, the gay and bisexual community, fraternities, and more.”
The first event as part of the “Healthy Masculinities Week” is called, “The Macho Paradox: Why some men hurt and how all men can help.” The title is a reference to a book by Jackson Katz, who is a self-proclaimed “anti-sexist activist” and the speaker for the event.
According to a review for Katz’s book, “The Macho Paradox: Why Some Men Hurt Women and How All Men Can Help.” “Katz explores those aspects of American culture that promote violence against women, focusing separate chapters on pornography, prostitution, and other sex-related businesses as well as sexual violence in the military, the music industry, and athletics.” It also “offers advice on how men can ally with women to curb violence and change those aspects of the ‘boys will be boys’ attitude on male aggressiveness and masculinity that can lead to violence and abuse.”
I’m truly at a loss for words here. This whiny little wimp makes a living by trying to turn men into whiny little wimps like himself. The term used to describe males, (I refuse to call him a man), like this jerk is “pussy whipped.” I don’t need one of Wimpy’s books to tell me how to treat women. I was taught by my parents. It’s called, “Being a gentleman.” At the top of the list of things a gentleman does not do, is hitting a woman.
As a private university, Vanderbilt is fully within their rights to make utter asses of themselves. I do wonder about the parents of the students, particularly the male students, who must be paying a huge amount of money to this school, might have to say about this garbage? The list of departments supporting this drivel reads like a who’s who of the Moonbat set, with one exception.
In addition to the Margaret Cuninggim Women’s Center, “Healthy Masculinities Week” is also sponsored by a host of other departments at Vanderbilt, including Vanderbilt Athletics, Dean of Students Project Safe Center, Women’s and Gender Studies, Martha Rivers Ingram Commons, Office of Greek Life, Office of LGBTQI Life, Bishop Joseph Black Cultural Center, and the Interfaith Council.
What the hell is the Vanderbilt Athletics department doing backing this crap? I guess they want to field teams of wimps who will be regularly stomped by teams of “Real Men” and probably “Real Girlscouts” as well. They way to properly treat a woman is to treat her like a lady. Don’t hit her, if she says no, it means no and don’t take advantage of the situation if some female idiot downs a 5th of scotch on a dare. (If you drop a Rufie on woman and take advantage of her, I’ll cut your nuts off myself)
It’s time for parents and the trustees of these collages and universities to start cleaning house. Over the last decade or so, we have seen flat out injustices and lies perpetrated by the so called “Feminists” that have ruined lives, not to mention done actual harm to women who have been really victimized by real criminals. (Screaming rape when no rape occurred is a classic case. See the Rolling Stone/UVA mess) This “Lecture” should be ignored by the entire student body, male and female, as the complete waste of time that it is.
