GOP Establishment out to get Trump

Good day all. As you are no doubt aware, Donald Trump is demolishing the Establishment Republican candidates. This is causing panic in the Establishment ranks and they have decided to “Get Trump” by whatever means necessary.

BOHICA

We’re now seeing the various candidate superpacs dumping large amounts into advertising. We’re also seeing Karl Rove opening his rolodex, all to stop Trump and the others and protect the RINO’s. Here are a few details on the panic from The Hill:

The Republican establishment is nearing full-blown panic about Donald Trump. The demise of Trump’s candidacy has been predicted by centrist Republicans and the media alike virtually since the day it began. But there is no empirical evidence at all to suggest it is happening.

dead rino

No kidding. The RINO’s have totally missed the blind rage of the GOP base at their nonstop betrayals, and have had enough. Trump is the beneficiary of this anger. Even when Trump puts his foot in it, it doesn’t have that much effect. ThinkProgress, a liberal group, put together a list of “Trump is finished!” predictions, none of which have panned out.

Despite all that, Trump has led the RealClearPolitics (RCP) polling average in a virtually unbroken spell for four months. The only person to briefly wrest the lead away from him, Dr. Ben Carson, appears to be fading. And numerous polls show Trump drawing double the support of his closest establishment-friendly rival, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.)

The GOP base has a serious problem with Rubio. He was one of the drivers of the latest attempt to give amnesty to criminal aliens. Amnesty for illegal aliens isn’t just a big deal to the PLFD’s, the Establishment RINO’s want it to. Why? Their paymasters in the Chamber of Commerce wants as many illegals as possible, along with H1B visa holders to drive down salaries for American workers. And then we have our old pals in ISIS.

Add to all this the fact that Trump’s lead over the rest of the GOP field has expanded since the terrorist attacks in Paris, and it becomes clear why anxiety among his many Republican critics is reaching new heights. “He has a real shot at this. He is the clear front-runner,” said Ron Bonjean, a consultant and former aide to GOP leaders on Capitol Hill. Adding that “months ago, we all discounted Trump as a candidate,” Bonjean now acknowledged that it seems “safe to assume that he is going to continue with this strong momentum right into Iowa.”

And if Trump does well in Iowa and New Hampshire, he may well win the nomination. This is why the RINO’s are panicking. They see a Trump nomination as a guarantee that Hillary Clinton will win the presidency. To thwart Trump, they have decided to unleash the Hounds of Rove on him. According to Bloomberg:

Republican strategist Karl Rove helped set up a meeting between top fundraisers for Ben Carson and casino mogul Steve Wynn. Rove confirmed to Bloomberg Politics that he acted as the go-between for the Carson camp and Wynn, a sometimes business competitor of Donald Trump, the rival Carson has been batting all fall for the Republican nomination. “I introduced them but I don’t know anything further about that,” said Rove, who added that he did not attend the meeting.

politifact-pof

Yeah, right. Pull the other finger Rove, it has a bell on it. Now I admire Dr. Carson. He’s a very good man, but I don’t think he has what it’s going to take to be President after that SCoaMF Obama finally leaves. (I’m not sure about Trump either for that matter) That Rove is aiding Carson tells me that the RINO’s are desperate. Their favored candidate is Juan! Ernesto Arbusto, followed by Christie and then Kasich. I suspect that if they manage to tear down Trump using Dr. Carson, they will bury Carson soon after.

“Karl Rove is at the center of the GOP establishment — fearful of what real leadership in Washington D.C. will accomplish,” said Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski in a statement when asked about Rove’s role in facilitating the meeting between Carson and Wynn. “Mr. Trump continues to expose the all-talk, no action politicians propped up by their dark money super PACs that have failed the American people for far too long.” Rove helped found one of the pioneering dark money groups, Crossroads GPS, which as a non-profit does not have to disclose the identities of its donors.

And as I recall. Rove’s Crossroads PAC batted a great big ZERO in the last election. His entire slate of RINO candidates was waxed. Frankly, his judgment needs some serious questioning.

On Bloomberg Politics With All Due Respect earlier this week, Rove listed Bush, Christie and Marco Rubio as the three candidates most likely to knock Trump off when “the other 70 to 75 percent of the party begins to coalesce behind somebody.” The reference is to Trump’s polling numbers. Though consistently leading the Republican pack since the summer, Trump has never been able to get much past the 30 percent mark in the polls tracked by Real Clear Politics.

Of those three, Rubio is the only one currently in the top 4. Bush is fading and Christie fatally harpooned himself with his tongue bathing of Obama. Rubio also has the problem if his betrayal of the Tea Party groups which helped him win his senate seat.

News of Rove’s work as a go-between for Carson comes amid reports that other Republican activists are trying to stop Trump. Former New Hampshire Republican Party Chairman Fergus Cullen unsuccessfully challenged Trump’s eligibility to participate in the state’s first-in-the-nation primary. “Everyone benefits from his demise but everyone wants someone else to do it,” Cullen lamented, saying the front-runner could damage Republicans among minorities and women, potentially for many years.

Right there is the problem with the GOP Establishment. For decades they have been saying “If we just do “X” we will get the Hispanic and women’s vote for sure!” The only problem is it hasn’t. The spinelessness and wishywashiness of the RINO’s has managed to turn off many people who would vote for the GOP.

DC-Jello

If you look at the local elections, Republicans who say what they mean and mean what they say usually do very well. In fact, these same people have been knocking off the RINO Establishment candidates locally for several election cycles.

Liz Mair, the former Republican National Committee online communications director, has also set up a conduit for anonymous anti-Trump donations, Trump Card LLC. “The sooner action is taken against Trump, the better,” she said in an e-mail to Bloomberg Politics that expressed some frustration that the party isn’t doing more to take on the front-runner. “We’re also not party bigwig people and aren’t as establishment as some of the folks making the calculation that we dare not offend Trump.”

Ms. Mair may want to look at what’s happened every time her pals in the Establishment have gone after Trump. They’ve had their heads handed to them. The phrase she is looking for, with regards to the Establishment, is “Gun shy.”

She said she and her allies “are getting sick and tired of a big government guy whose only “conservative” attributes are apparently saying and thinking things that better suit an old school Southern Democrat than a Republican without minorities.”

And once again we see why people like Ms. Mair are being ignored. She has utterly missed what’s going on in the United States. Because her side is being hammered, she’s fallen back on the standard Progressive Liberal Fascist Democrat accusations. “If you aren’t with us, you are a racist!” It isn’t working anymore you Stuttering Thundercunt of a Miserable Failure. (StoaMF)

Republican strategist Ron Bonjean said that it’s risky for outside groups like Mair’s to attack Trump because it could give the perception that the establishment is trying to take him out politically — optics that have only strengthened Trump’s political hand. “It’s standard operating procedure for rival candidates to conduct attacks against each other. But a direct anti-Trump effort? It can provide Trump with a leg to stand on to say he’s being treated unfairly.”

The last time we had anyone ripping up the GOP establishment was Ross Perot. Perot managed to self destruct and that gave us President William Jefferson “The Silver Zipper” Clinton. Trump is not Ross Perot, and unlike Perot knows how to handle himself in a crowd. It’s highly doubtful that he will implode, no matter how much the RINO Establishment wants it to happen. If he wins a few primaries, and, if the rumors are correct, selects Ted Cruz to be his VP, the odds are rather good that we will see a faceoff between Cankles and Trump. If that happens, Trump will crush her like a bug on a windshield.

Hillary for Prison

I still haven’t decided who I want to be president. I do know who I don’t want. Anyone with a “D” after their name, and anyone the Establishment wants. That means no to Bush, Kasich Christie and Rubio. (The never was candidates still running aren’t worth mentioning) Whatever happens, it’s going to be an interesting election season.

Depending on who you believe, the establishment Retardicans might actually WANT shrillery. Or at least want her over Trump.

Not sure if the accusation is true or not. But I wouldn’t be surprised if it was.

    • I wouldn’t put it past them. Officially, I only know of one instance where the GOP recommended voting for the democrat. That was when David Duke managed to become the GOP nominee for congress. None on the GOP complained on that decision.
