Mittens Romney, still a sore loser

Good day all. Just before the terrorist attack in Florida, Mittens Romney decided to do a little backstabbing. Normally he likes to attack Donald Trump, which he did here, however, he though it would be a good idea to go after all the other failed GOP candidates as well.

romney loser

Mittens is a card carrying member of the GOP(e), and is a founding member of the NeverTrump movement. He also is a two time presidential loser, blowing a very winnable race in 2012. In his mind, this makes him the perfect candidate to insult the GOP 2016 candidates. Here are the details from Politico:

Mitt Romney laid into the large and rambunctious group of 2016 Republican candidates here on Saturday, arguing that they deserved a share of the blame for the rise of Donald Trump.

I might agree with that, but not in the way Mittens is thinking.

During a question-and-answer session with CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer before about 250 Republican donors gathered for the Romney-hosted Experts and Enthusiasts summit, the former Massachusetts governor said this year’s group of primary candidates misplayed their hands. By spending months attacking each other and ignoring Trump, he argued, they made a severe tactical error that allowed Trump — who Romney has criticized as a “con man” and a “fraud” — to escape unharmed.

Their biggest failure was attacking each other and not the front-runner,” Romney said. “Just politically, I thought that move was not right for them.

And as usual, Mittens missed the target. The problem wasn’t the GOP candidates attacking each other, the problem was, like you, they are all part of the problem and not the solution. The only one who wasn’t part of the problem was Ted Cruz, and he managed to shoot himself in the head with his underhanded attacks on the other candidates.

Romney reserved particular scorn for Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who Romney endorsed late in the primary process. The Texas senator, he pointed out, spent extensive time during the campaign praising Trump.

Donald Trump

That was due to Trump not being seen as a viable candidate and Cruz thinking he would be the one to drive a stake through Jeb? Bush. By the time he figured out Trump was serious, it was to late. There was also the issue that Cruz, like all the other candidates, was using the professional Beltway Bandits, better known as political consultants. These Rovians managed to destroy almost all the candidates while enriching themselves.

He also said Ohio Gov. John Kasich had divided the anti-Trump vote by remaining in the race long after it had become clear he didn’t have a realistic pathway to the nomination — a message he said he had relayed personally to the Ohio governor.

eye roll

Oh I’m sure that just endeared him to Kasich.

And Romney chided Right to Rise, the $100 million-plus Jeb Bush super PAC that spent heavily to tear down Bush rivals other than Trump.

I thought it was an extremely large mistake on their part,” he said of the super PAC.

I think I know who has been teaching the Star Wars Imperial Storm Troopers how to shoot. Mittens keeps missing the target. Mittens did have one nice thing to say about Trump.

Romney, though, credited Trump with waging a politically savvy primary campaign. “He played it extremely well,” he said, noting that the New York businessman had tapped into a deep vein of voter frustration. “It was a very effective strategy.”

Trump-Great

That’s due to Trump NOT hiring a beltway bandit to run his campaign. When he finally did bring one in, the idiot promptly went off the Trump reservation and started to derail Trump. The Donald then took the consultant to the woodshed and clubbed him like a baby seal, then got back on message.

As he has on previous occasions, Romney warned that a Trump presidency could have disastrous repercussions for the country. But on Saturday, the former governor showed emotion. In explaining why he’d decided to come out so forcefully against the party’s presumptive nominee — and at a time when many GOP leaders are urging unity — Romney appeared to tear up.

Romney was thinking “I should be running for reelection right now!” As to those “Disastrous repercussions? Those are the reasons Trump succeeded in gaining the nomination. People have had it with the RINO Elite outright lying to them and have decided the best thing they can do is shake things up a bit.

Going forward, Romney said he doesn’t intend to regularly insert himself into the campaign.

bullshit-meter

But he said he will speak out if Trump says something he disagrees with.

Which will be pretty much anything Trump says.

When Blitzer pressed Romney on his plans, he revealed that he once thought that, had a candidate such as Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker or Bush won the White House, he could have held an administration role.

And there it is. He was looking out for himself. Since Trump won the nomination, and can’t be controlled by the likes of the GOP(e), you and the other RINO’s are going to be out in the cold. To quote Michelle Malkin, “Boo freaking hoo.”

wambulance

But he hinted that there’s a role he’s anxious to embrace: that of a former GOP leader who will help to rebuild his party following a historically divisive election.

Wait for it! Here it comes!

I do believe, after November, I’m going to be involved in articulating what the Republican Party stands for.”

head_up_ass

We know what you and the other Country Club Republicans stand for. Cronyism, screwing over the American workers and increasing the size and power of the Federal Government, just not as fast as the Democrats. Mittens, like all the other RINO’s, just doesn’t understand what happened this election cycle. Mittens Romney and his ilk have been soundly rejected by the party base. Now, all that is needed is an indictment of Cankles Clinton, the election of Donald Trump and Mittens beclowning will have been completed. It couldn’t have happened to a nicer abject political failure.
