Good day all. This has been one really busy month. Brexit, the Benghazi reports were just released and we’re still waiting to hear from the Department of InJustice on Cankles email issues.
Well, things have gotten a lot worse for the Cankled One. We already know that Hillary Clinton’s mail server was hacked 6 ways from Sunday. Now it turns out that the State Department, due to problems with that pile of insecure junk, also disabled security features on the State Department’s mail servers. Here are some of the details from Associated Press:
State Department staffers wrestled for weeks in December 2010 over a serious technical problem that affected emails from then-Secretary Hillary Clinton’s home email server, causing them to temporarily disable security features on the government’s own systems, according to emails released Wednesday.
The emails, reviewed by The Associated Press, show that State Department technical staff disabled software on their systems intended to block phishing emails that could deliver dangerous viruses. They were trying urgently to resolve delivery problems with emails sent from Clinton’s private server.
“This should trump all other activities,” a senior technical official, Ken LaVolpe, told IT employees in a Dec. 17, 2010, email. Another senior State Department official, Thomas W. Lawrence, wrote days later in an email that deputy chief of staff Huma Abedin personally was asking for an update about the repairs. Abedin and Clinton, who both used Clinton’s private server, had complained that emails each sent to State Department employees were not being reliably received.
Perhaps you should have used the provided Email systems instead? Oh wait! Then you would have had to comply with the public records laws, and couldn’t hide your nefarious dealings with foreign governments. You know, coordinating the schemes to take money for favors? I think they call that “Public Corruption, but I may be incorrect.
After technical staffers turned off some security features, Lawrence cautioned in an email, “We view this as a Band-Aid and fear it’s not 100 percent fully effective.”
Not effective? I thought it was the British who were masters of understatement? I think any number of hackers were overjoyed at the State Department’s IT staff shutting down some of their security systems. I wonder of the Chinese and Russians will send a thank you not to them? According to Fox News, it’s possible they were hit.
A 2010 decision temporarily disabling State Department security features to accommodate Hillary Clinton’s private server effectively laid out a “welcome mat” for hackers and foreign intelligence services, a leading IT official who oversaw computer security at the Defense Intelligence Agency told Fox News.
“You’re putting not just the Clinton server at risk but the entire Department of State emails at risk,” said Bob Gourley, former chief technology officer (CTO) for the DIA. “When you turn off your defensive mechanisms and you’re connected to the Internet, you’re almost laying out the welcome mat for anyone to intrude and attack and steal your secrets.”
Gourley, who has more than two decades of cybersecurity experience and is now a partner with strategic consulting and engineering firm Cognitio, noted the Russians did breach the State Department system at some point – though it’s unclear when, and whether disabling the security functions in 2010 played a role.
Obviously, I don’t have any information on that, but look at the timing. Yeah, I think that Cankles private server, and the State Department’s shutting down some of the security features did lead to the Russians getting in. They hit those systems constantly looking for any sort of weakness and the Clintons, as usual, were happy to provide.
He said, though, that when the Russian presence was detected in 2014, there were indications “they had been there for quite a while … [and] also hacked into unclassified systems in the White House.” He said the Russians would have tried “everything possible to get in.”
And Hillary basically held the door open for them. I wonder how much they paid her for this? She made a nice pile of cash from the sale of American Uranium mines to the Russians. Getting back to the AP story:
The FBI is also investigating whether Clinton’s use of the private email server imperiled government secrets. It has recently interviewed Clinton’s top aides, including former chief of staff Cheryl Mills and Abedin.
I think it’s safe to say that the Clinton email server did endanger United States Secrets. However, Clinton wouldn’t have worried about that. She was more concerned that someone might find out what a crook she is. The only reason to have that server was to maintain control, and we all know that “Her Royal Cankleness is nothing if not a paranoid control freak.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said in a speech Wednesday that Clinton’s email server “was easily hacked by foreign governments.” Trump cited no new evidence that hackers had successfully breached Clinton’s server, but he said unspecified enemies of the United States were in possession of all her emails.
Why would Trump have any new information? He isn’t in office yet. However, just like everyone else, he’s been following this story and just like anyone with two functioning brain cells, (Which lets out almost all Progressive Liberal Democrats), has put 2 and 2 together and come up with “Why isn’t she in jail already?
The Democrat Party should have buried Hillary Clinton last year when this started to bubble up. The fact that they didn’t shows that the Democrat Party only cares for wealth and power. The needs of the country aren’t even on the list. Now it’s in the hands of the FBI.
People are wondering when James Comey is going to deliver his report and recommendations, (Probably to indict Cankles), to Loretta Lynch? Yeah, I know. Lynch with circular file the report because the Democrat party is far more important than the United States of America, the Rule of Law and the Constitution. Still, we do need “Closure” on this. The constant drip of information is straining the coverup abilities of the Clinton Crime Family and their minions in the Media.
