Good day all and welcome to the Age of Trump. Last week, I wrote a post regarding all the GOP(e) NeverTrumpers who were upset at being cut off at the knees by the new Trump Administration. All of these people were horrified that President Trump wasn’t interested in anything they have to say.
Now, the second stage has begun. Fox News announced that militant NeverTrumper and all around idiot, George Will, will not have his contract renewed. Here are the details from The Hill:
Fox News has declined to renew contributor contracts for longtime political commentator George Will, Republican strategist Ed Rollins and actress Stacey Dash, according to a network spokesperson.
Now, I didn’t pay to much attention to any of these people, however, both Ms. Dash and Mr. Rollins supported President Trump. I suspect they are being sent on their way for simple ratings issues. George Will, on the other hand, was so blatant in his hatred of Donald Trump that he left the Republican Party and demanded that they support Felonia von Pantsuit instead.
Will, 75, is a Pulitzer-winning conservative columnist who was with ABC from 1981-2011 before coming to Fox in 2013. In June of 2016, he declared he was leaving the Republican party because of Donald Trump, a decision the then-nominee appeared to embrace.
I used to read George Will’s column’s years ago, but as he drifted more and more to the Statist view of the Beltway Uniparty view, I stopped reading his columns. I did watch him occasionally when he was commenting on Fox, but found him to be ignorant of what was actually occurring in the United States and the World. Will didn’t win many friends at Fox with his arrogance either.
In 2015 and 2016, Will had periodically feuded with the network’s highest-rated host, Bill O’Reilly, with Will once stating that O’Reilly’s best-selling book, “Killing Reagan” was “nonsensical” and “The Factor” host calling Will “a hack” in a subsequent interview.
I haven’t read any of Bill O’Reilly’s books and don’t watch his show any longer. I find him to be a complete fraud and phony who’s sole purpose is to promote himself. As far as I’m concerned, he jumped the shark when he supported Geraldo Rivera over Michelle Malkin when he essentially threatened her over her views, leading her to refuse to come on O’Reilly’s show from that point on.
George Will is going to find himself out in the cold in very short order. Oh he will still be able to sell columns and books bashing Trump, but the Conservative/Republican sites are now walking away from him. His column appears in the Washington (Com)Post, which is a militant anti-Trump fake newspaper. It was here that Will demanded that Trump be stopped even at the expense of letting Felonia become president.
Were he to be nominated, conservatives would have two tasks. One would be to help him lose 50 states — condign punishment for his comprehensive disdain for conservative essentials, including the manners and grace that should lubricate the nation’s civic life. Second, conservatives can try to save from the anti-Trump undertow as many senators, representatives, governors and state legislators as possible.
And that was when George Will showed himself to be a total fraud and a paid up member of the Beltway Uniparty. As it turned out, when the attempted coup against Trump in October occurred, several Republicans up for reelection decided to denounce Trump and demand that he step aside. The upshot? They were the ones who lost reelection, including former Republican Senator, Kelly Ayotte. (R-NH) She was a total disappointment as senator and it looks like the Trump supporters walked away from her in droves. She narrowly lost.
Will has been shown to be nothing more than a stuck up elitist. Now, he’s being shown the door. I won’t be at all surprised if he doesn’t formally “Retire” in the next year or two due to ill health. Everyone is sick of him. Goodbye George. Don’t let the door knob hit you in the ass on your way out.
