Trump fires Paris Climate Accord

Good day all. As expected, President Trump withdrew the United States from the Paris Climate Accord. The basic reason was that the accord was a load of horse manure designed to seriously damage the United States economy. Needless to say, the Lefty’s are going ballistic.

First off the mark was former president and complete failure, Barack Obama. He was not happy that one of his “Signature Agreements” was trashed. According to the New York Times:

Mr. Obama, in a rare assertion of his political views as a former president, castigated the decision.

“The nations that remain in the Paris Agreement will be the nations that reap the benefits in jobs and industries created,” he said in a statement. “I believe the United States of America should be at the front of the pack. But even in the absence of American leadership; even as this Administration joins a small handful of nations that reject the future; I’m confident that our states, cities, and businesses will step up and do even more to lead the way, and help protect for future generations the one planet we’ve got.”

On the other hand, people with common sense and who actually want the United States to be great thought that trashing this disaster was a good thing.

Most Republicans applauded the decision.

“I applaud President Trump and his administration for dealing yet another significant blow to the Obama administration’s assault on domestic energy production and jobs,” said Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the majority leader.

On the other hand, a number of “Big Business” types were very unhappy. According to Fortune:

Following Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s suggestion that he would quit his positions on several White House advisory councils if Trump’s decision is to exit the deal, as has been widely reported, other firms and business leaders have also come out in favor of the pact.

“Energy needs are a function of population and living standards,” Exxon CEO Darren Woods said at the company’s annual investor meeting in Dallas Wednesday, according to Bloomberg. Woods’ position in favor of staying in the deal is the same as his predecessor, current Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

“When it comes to policy, the goal should be to reduce emissions at the lowest cost to society,” Woods said, adding that demand for oil will keep growing even with the climate deal in place.

There were others, but they all have one thing in common. They stood to make a fortune if the Accords were ratified and shoved down the throats of the American taxpayers. Then we have billionaire Progressive Tom Steyer. He’s gone completely off his nut. According to the Washington Examiner:

Billionaire climate activist Tom Steyer called President Trump a traitor if he makes good on his promise and exits the Paris climate change agreement. “If Trump pulls the US out of the #ParisAgreement he will be committing a traitorous act of war against the American people,” Steyer tweeted.

Steyer was very active during the presidential campaign through his group, NextGen Climate, and has become a leading activist in an agenda that supports moving the nation toward 100 percent renewable energy over the next 25 years.

Would you care to guess who stood to gain from collapsing the United States economy big time? Why, that would be Tom Steyer!! Steyer is rapidly moving into the George Soros realm of trying to impose a totalitarian government on the United States as well as the rest of the world. He also expects that he would be one of the elites running things…for our own good of course.

In President Trump’s speech announcing the torching of the Paris accord, Trump said he would look to negotiate a better deal. Of course, the Eurotrash leaders are having none of that! In a story in CBS Philly:

President Donald Trump announced from the White House Rose Garden Thursday that the United States is withdrawing from the Paris climate accord, a major step that fulfills a campaign promise while sparking global outcry.

“Therefore, in order to fulfill my solemn duty to protect America and its citizens, the United States will withdraw from the Paris climate accord,” Trump said.

The president said that he will begin negotiations to re-enter the Paris accord or an entirely new transaction “with terms that are fair to the United States.”

Trump called the agreement “draconian.”

“This agreement is less about the climate and more about other countries gaining a financial advantage over the U.S.,” Trump said.

As for the Eurotrash?

Following Trump’s speech, Germany, Italy and France said in a joint statement that the accord will not be renegotiated.

European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker declared Europe was ready to act as a global climate leader in the US absence.

“The vacuum that would be created has to be filled, and Europe has aspirations for a natural leadership in this whole process,” he said in Berlin.

The way things are going in Europe right now, they won’t even exist in 20 years. Frankly, most Americans don’t give a rats ass about Europe anyway. We see them as nothing more then a bunch os lazy, good for nothing morons who will always be there when they need us.

The left has come completely unhinged now that the Accord, which they refer to in secret as “My Precious!” is effectively dead. Grabien News has a great post titled:

I’m not going to bother copying it in to this post. You should read it for yourselves. Then we have the Weather Channel’s response. Basically, they’re saying that the End of the World is Nigh!!! and “We’re all Doomed!”

Finally, we have the Mayor of Pittsburgh announcing that he will impose the Paris Accords on the citizens of his city. According to The Hill:

The mayor of Pittsburgh fired back at President Trump Thursday for his use of the city in rationalizing withdrawing from the Paris climate agreement, saying the city will continue to follow the deal.

“As the Mayor of Pittsburgh, I can assure you that we will follow the guidelines of the Paris Agreement for our people, our economy & future,” he wrote.

I wonder if this idiot bothered to ask his constituents about having their economy utterly ruined? Probably not. He is a Democrat after all, and the peons and serfs can just sit down, shut up and pay up. The Stock Markets seemed to think pulling out was a great idea. The Dow Jones was up about 130 points at the close today. Of course, there was also very good news on the jobs report. About 100K more jobs then they expected were created, which is very good news indeed.

Over the next few days and weeks, we should see the left continuing their head exploding meltdowns. They’ve lost and they still can’t accept that they’re out. I intend to sit back and watch the show.
