Good day all. Since Donald Trump became President, the flow of illegal aliens into the United States has dropped significantly. However, the ones here now, instead of going back where they came from, have decided to move north, to Canada.
The American/Canadian border is even less guarded then the Mexico/American border. Provided you have snowshoes, it’s rather simple to cross. What’s happening now is that all these illegals, instead of staying here, have decided that it would be better to latch on to the Canadian system and suck their taxpayers dry. The number of asylum seekers walking across the U.S. border into Canada rose in June after dropping in the previous two months, according to government figures released on Friday.
I wonder, does that include all the Hollywood lefties who said they would leave the United States forever if Trump won?
There were 884 refugee claimants who crossed the border between formal crossings and were picked up by Royal Canadian Mounted Police last month, bringing the total for the first half of 2017 to 4,345, the data showed. The vast majority, 88 percent, of June’s crossers went to the province of Quebec, a marked contrast from previous months where upwards of 100 a month went to the prairie province of Manitoba.
No surprise there. I would rather go to Quebec too. Of course, I would have to learn how to speak French, but at least they have good food and a nightlife.
Many asylum seekers whom Reuters has spoken to said they left the United States because they feared deportation in light of President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown.
Once in Canada, they are detained and held for questioning and security screening before being allowed to file refugee claims. However, time spent in the United States may put them at a disadvantage.
Aww, isn’t that a shame? Does that mean they’re going to be shipped back to the third world hellholes they came from? Probably not. This is Canada after all, the country that just gave a terrorist $8 million dollars because he was not allowed to sleep.
The Canadian government has resisted calls to stop turning asylum seekers back at land border crossings under the Canada-U.S. Safe Third Country Agreement, which advocates say is the reason so many are crossing illegally.
I had to look that one up. Here’s the basics from that fount of misinformation, Wikipedia:
The Safe Third Country Agreement applies to refugee claimants who are seeking entry to Canada or the United States at Canada-United States land border crossings (including by train). It also applies at airports if a person seeking refugee protection in one country was determined not to be a refugee in the other, and is in transit through the other country as part of their deportation. For example, a refugee claimant in Canada who has been determined not to be a refugee in the United States, has been ordered deported from the United States, and is in transit through a Canadian airport as part of their removal from the United States.
Obviously, it’s far more complicated than this small blurb. There’s always exceptions. Long story short, if I understand this correctly, if they crossed from the United States into Canada, the Canadians can boot them back out. If they’ve been denied status here, then they aren’t entitled to it in Canada. Of course, that was before the current Prime Minister took office. He doesn’t seem to have any problems letting in these so called “Refugees” and putting them on the Dole. Well, that’s Canada’s problem, not ours.
