Good day all. We have yet another Stupid Criminal of the Week, demonstrating how not to get a judge to give him a lesser sentence. In this case, we have on Joseph Jakubowski now serving 14 years for being a moron.
Jakubowski was convicted of stealing a large number of guns. Being stupid, he was caught, tried and convicted. Rather then throw himself on the mercy of the court, he thought it would be a great idea to cuss out a judge. Here are the details from Fox News:
A Wisconsin man who sent an anti-government manifesto to President Trump and confessed to stealing a huge cache of firearms was sentenced to 14 years in federal prison Wednesday — but not before he cursed out the judge and threatened to commit even more crimes.
Joseph Jakubowski, 33, had asked U.S. District Judge William Conley either to free him or to give him a death sentence. In court Wednesday, he said in a profanity-laced back and forth with the judge that he rejected rules and the law. “I don’t care about your damned laws. (Expletive) the laws, (expletive) the rules and (expletive) you too.”

I wouldn’t be at all surprised id the judge didn’t wish he could have this nutbar strung up, but the crimes he was convicted of didn’t reach the level of being capitol crimes. Mores the pity.
Jakubowski faced 20 years in federal prison after he was convicted in September of two weapons charges stemming from an April 4 theft at Armageddon Supplies in Janesville. Police said he then torched his car and disappeared, setting off a frantic 10-day manhunt.
Which tells you all you need to know about what a moron he is. I will say he was thinking a bit when he torched his car, but he obviously didn’t have any plans for getting away, especially after he was kind enough to send the White House his “Manifesto”. Perhaps he was looking for a declaration of insanity? Well, he did get his declaration of idiocy.
Investigators argued during his trial that Jakubowski broke into the store, stole 18 guns, two silencers and ammunition, and mailed his manifesto to the White House on the same day. The 161-page manifesto allegedly made references to health insurance, taxes, and religion, WTMJ-TV reported in April.
“We the people should be out for these sick minded people belonging to the system! We need to spill their blood!” Jakubowski reportedly wrote.
He also allegedly said: “I have never been a thief! I hate thieves! However since this system has stolen my natural right to protect and defend life..this system has left me no choice but to commit crime to have the means to protect life!”
Well, he certainly is paranoid.
Rock County Sheriff Richard Spoden said Jakubowski’s manifesto also included threats against public officials and schools. Amid the manhunt for Jakubowski, law enforcement officials ordered a stronger security detail for House Speaker Paul Ryan — who hails from the city of Janesville, where the manhunt took place — and his family.
Oh nice going dumbass. About the only thing you didn’t do was set up a billboard and launch flares. As for the guns he stole, he hid them somewhere.
The gun store owner told the judge Wednesday that he wanted the 14 firearms that are still missing to be returned, but Jakubowski said that won’t happen.
And why won’t that happen? Is he hoping to get them after he’s released in 14 years? (You know he’s going to serve every day of his sentence. He’s to stupid to let out on parole)
In May, Jakubowski told WTMJ that the weapons are “buried” and he doesn’t know where they are.
Oh I think he knows exactly where they are, he’s just being an ass. At least the store owner’s insurance should cover his losses, although there is the BATFE to deal with. Well, Jakubowski will have a nice long time to remember where he buried them. However, I suspect they won’t be functional at that point.
I have a sneaking suspicion that the moron didn’t properly prepare them, and at best, wrapped them in a sheet. They will probably be nothing more then rusted out hunks of metal when he sees the light of day. I’m sure he will have a nice roommate to keep him warm during those cold and lonely nights.
