Good day all. With the recent actions by the Kalifornistan Moonbats regarding protecting criminal aliens, we have a bit of news regarding a revolt by one Californian town. They are looking to opt out of Kalifornistan’s new Sanctuary laws.
The town in question, Los Alamitos, is going to take a vote, and if all goes well, stick a finger in the eye of the Kalifornistan Politboro. Here are the details from Fox News:
One Southern California town is taking a stand against a state law that limits the cooperation between local police and federal immigration agents and encourages sanctuary cities to exist. The City of Los Alamitos will vote on an ordinance that would exempt it from the sanctuary city law that council members say conflicts with federal law.
Members say that the state law “may be in direct conflict with federal laws and the Constitution,” not to mention going against the oath they took in taking office, The Orange County register reports. The council “finds that it is impossible to honor our oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States,” according to the ordinance.
The remarks and the vote are going to be a shot across the bow of the Kalifornistan Attorney General Xavier Becerra. He has flat out threatened to prosecute anyone who obeys the federal laws and aids the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in the performance of their duties. Considering that Kalifornistan is dead set on repeating the actions of South Carolina in the 1860’s, I won’t be at all surprised if Becerra goes all in and arrests everybody.
If the city council moves to reject the Kalifornistan sanctuary law, and Becerra goes after the city government, I would say that there will be another arrest. It will be Xavier Becerra and he will be facing a federal court. Putting a few moonbats into the federal prison system, with no special privileges, might encourage the rest in Kalifornistan that they might have gone just a little to far. I wrote this over the weekend. This morning I saw that the city council had voted 4-1 to uphold the United States Constitution and the Rule of Law. They have rejected the Kalifornistan Protect invaders and criminals act.
