Good day all. The People’s Democratic Republic of Kalifornistan is noted for passing one law after another stripping people’s rights away from them. Many of these laws are supposed to “Save the planet!!” from “Global Warming!!” It’s also supposed to clean up the air.
So, how’s all that tyranny working in making the air fresh and clean? In the case of San Francisco, not one bit. Here are the details from Sfgate:
The gray haze over San Francisco isn’t just summer fog. It’s also smoke from a series of wildfires burning on the West Coast, which has pushed air quality into unhealthy levels.
That’s what happens when you let political correctness get in the way of good forest management. The forests tend to catch fire and burn…a lot!
The Air Quality Index for San Francisco Thursday was 152, qualifying as “unhealthy.” At this level, even those without respiratory diseases may begin to experience negative side effects, such as coughing, trouble breathing and irritated eyes and airways. Parts of the East Bay, including Oakland and Berkeley, and the South Bay were also in the “unhealthy” air quality range.
I wonder, does that index also include the aroma from all the crap dumped in the streets by the ever so welcomed homeless?
Smoke from West Coast fires — in Northern California, the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia — spread over the Pacific Ocean and onshore winds are pushing it into the Bay Area, said Daniel Alrick, a meteorologist at the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, by tweet. On Wednesday, (August 23rd), the agency extended an Air Quality Advisory for the Bay Area through Sunday.
“Smoke conditions that were forecast to subside, changed due to a deeper than forecast marine layer. Smoke was aloft and mixed down to the surface, due to a deep fog layer and strong onshore winds,” an agency statement explained.
And the kicker?
The air was so bad in the Bay Area, it was three times worse than that of Beijing, which was at 46 on the AQI Thursday.
Now that’s bad! I’ve been to Beijing a couple of times, and the last thing you really want to do there is inhale. Of course, I’ve been to other places in China where it was even worse, to the point it was like walking into a wall when I stepped out of the hotel.
What’s happening here is reality is slapping the Progressives in the back of the head with a 2×4. They love to pass laws that take rights away from people, but then turn around and pass more laws making it possible for the massive fires now burning out of control to get started in the first place.
Now I’m sure everyone here is sympathetic with the plight of the people of San Francisco…
Ok, I get it. In fact, I agree with you. These morons are getting exactly what they deserve. As far as I’m concerned, Kalifornistan can burn to the ground, right before we trigger “The Big One” and dump them into the Pacific.
