Good day all. This story is breaking as I write this so the 72 hour rule is now in effect. Assume the initial reports on motives and other details will either be wrong or changes. Earlier today there was a report of a car crashing into a barrier on Capitol Hill.
It now turns out that it was an attack of some sort. One office was stabbed to death and the suspect was shot and killed by other officers. The attacker has been identified and is, apparently, a follower of the Nation of Islam. Here are some of the details from The Post Millennial:
A Capitol Hill police officer has died after he was attacked by a knife-wielding man who rammed his car into two officers. He was rushed to hospital, but succumbed to his wounds. The suspect is also dead.
MSNBC’s Jesse Rodriguez tweeted: “The suspect in Capitol Police incident is a 25 year old Indiana man named Noah Green. May have lived in Virginia. On his Facebook page, he notes that he is a follower of the Nation of Islam. Suspect is now dead.”
Ok, if this hold up, then the Progressives are going to have a few problems spinning this into yet another plan to ban guns and accuse all Trump supporters of being responsible. If this dead criminal is a member of the Nation of Islam, then he is more then likely not a supporter of President Trumps. For those who might be thinking this was a case of “Sudden Jihad Syndrome,” it could be, however the Nation of Islam is about as Muslim as the Pope. Just ask any real Muslim. However, as I stated in the beginning, the 72 hour rule is now in effect.

My condolences to the family of the officer brutally murdered by this criminal and hopefully the other office fully recovers.
According to Capitol Police Chief Yogananda Pittman, Noah Green exited his vehicle with a knife. After disobeying verbal orders, he lunged at the officers, at which point the officers fatally shot the suspect. Green is not known to Capitol Police.
So the criminal brought a knife to a gun fight. The problem here is that he was to close to the officers and got inside their reach. Most people don’t realize just how fast someone with a knife can move when they intend harm against someone, even if their target is carrying a gun. I believe that inside of 20 or so feet, there is a good chance that the attacker is going to reach and stab his target.
Metropolitan Police Chief Robert Contee stated that they are working closely with Capitol Police, and that the Homicide, and Internal Affairs Division are taking over the investigation. According to Contee, the attack “does not appear to be terrorism related”, and that no specific member of congress was targeted.
We will find out eventually of course. It’s possible that this clown was hopped up on something. I will be interested in hearing what the “Defund the police” crowd in congress has to say. Oh wait, they are all for defunding police that aren’t tasked to protecting their precious hides. I’ve located what appears to be pictures of the criminal on Faceplant. I expect them to be pulled down in very short order. The man in them does seem to match the one on the stretcher. Oh well, we’ll find out more as time goes on.
