Good day all. During the Biden Bug Out from Kabul, the maladministration, along with the incompetent buffoons on the Joint Chiefs of Staff were crowing about stopping another terrorist attack by firing the last Hellfire missile from a Predator drone and blowing said terrorist into small pieces.
There appears to be a small problem with this. It looks like President Bumbles Dementia has, as usual gotten it totally wrong, and instead murdered an innocent man. Here are the details from Fox News:
The U.S. government’s account of a drone strike launched against a suspected terrorist in Afghanistan toward the end of the military withdrawal from Kabul is being challenged by a report suggesting the victim was not a threat to the United States.
According to a New York Times report, the drone attack that American officials said killed an ISIS terrorist carrying a bomb in a car toward U.S. troops may have killed a man with no ties to ISIS and who was carrying water to family members.
It gets worse from the maladministration. They also managed to kill several other people as well.
The Times says that after reviewing video evidence and interviewing more than a dozen of the driver’s friends and family members in Kabul, it has doubts about the U.S. version of events.
“Times reporting has identified the driver as Zemari Ahmadi, a longtime worker for a U.S. aid group,” the report states. “The evidence suggests that his travels that day actually involved transporting colleagues to and from work. And an analysis of video feeds showed that what the military may have seen was Mr. Ahmadi and a colleague loading canisters of water into his trunk to bring home to his family.”
As I mentioned above, several bystanders were also killed in the drone strike. Some of them were children.
The U.S. previously admitted that there were three civilian casualties in the strike, but the Times report says the actual number is 10. Seven of those individuals were children, including young family members of Ahmadi who relatives say had run to the car to greet him when he got home moments before the strike.
This is a major, first class screw up. It isn’t the drone pilots fault, they were working on what they thought was good information and under what they believed to be lawful orders. I can’t say if they saw the children before they pulled the trigger. If they did and commented on it, and still pulled the trigger, then some serious questions need to be asked.
Two well-placed U.S. military sources tell Fox News that the U.S. Central Command remains confident that the strike was based on accurate intelligence that showed the person in the car had bad intent, and that an investigation is underway into how many civilians were killed.
The military brass is in full cover up mode it seems.
Army Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said a secondary explosion confirms that the Ahmadi’s car was filled with explosives. The Times report also disputes that claim.
“But an examination of the scene of the strike, conducted by the Times visual investigations team and a Times reporter the morning afterward, and followed up with a second visit four days later, found no evidence of a second, more powerful explosion,” the report states.
It was probably the gas tank going up. I do wonder one thing. The Israelis also use drones and Hellfires, (Or their Israeli equivalent), however, they also figured out a way to avoid “Collateral damage.” It’s actually something they learned from the United States Air Force during the two Gulf wars.
Saddam Hussein liked to deploy antiaircraft guns next to schools since he knew we would target those with smart bombs. A 500lbs bomb, even laser guided, is going to make a massive hole in the ground, not to mention knock down buildings nearby. Someone came up with the idea of putting the laser guidance packages normally attached to the bombs to blow stuff up to bomb shaped concrete blocks. The bombs would land within feet of the antiaircraft system and pulverize them from the kinetic impact. Anything more then a few yards away ended up covered in pulverized concrete dust.
The Israelis basically did the same thing. They would fire a guided missile at a target, such as a car full of terrorists, with no warhead attached. The impact alone would do the damage and “Terminate” the terrorists, and no one who wasn’t supposed to be hurt would be. These are especially useful in a tight city environment. Why the Hell whoever was operating the drones didn’t have a couple rigged up like this is something that should be asked.
In any case, this is just another screw up by the most incompetent administration in United States history. We need to remove Joseph Robinette Biden from office by any lawful means necessary, even if it means being stuck with the Cackling Hyena, Kamala “Heels Up” Harris. Frankly, I doubt she would last long in office either before she too was removed.
