It’s time for John Cornyn to go

Good day all. I haven’t commented on the horrible tragedy in Uvalde, Texas. One of the reasons is that there is a lot of information still coming out and it’s best to refrain for now. However, one thing that seems to be holding up is the cowardice of the local police.

The reports coming out is that the first responders, instead of charging in as soon as they arrived, stood around with their thumbs up their asses. There is a report that one mother drove 40 miles to the school, and when she saw the police not doing their jobs, attempted to storm the school even though she was unarmed. A U.S. Marshal cuffed her. (She was later released and did enter the school and found her children)

One off duty agent from the Border Security patrol, who was getting a haircut when this started, borrowed a shotgun from his barber and went into the school to rescue his children. Once they were safe, he went back in and rescued others. Finally a group of federal officers decided to go in and put the rabid dog down.

From what I understand, none of the local police actually entered the building during the incident. Parents, especially those who lost children are livid with the local department and the police chief. Without question, heads are going to roll, perhaps literally. However, there is one idiot who is blindly supporting the police, and that is Senator John Cornyn. Here are the details from Fox News:

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) defended police officers and law enforcement agencies after it was revealed they waited over an hour outside Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas during Tuesday’s mass shooting. Cornyn said blaming the first responders after the complex incident is “distracting and unfair.”

“The second-guessing and finger-pointing among state and local law enforcement is destructive, distracting, and unfair,” he tweeted Saturday.

Senator John Cornyn has been in office for 20 years He is one of the Bushie globalist types, and is quick to back anything that increases power to law enforcement. While I also support police most of the time, unlike Cornyn, I know that it is a two way street. I expect police to do the right thing, such as charging into a building to take out a murderous thug, not sit outside and drink coffee.

Officers are being criticized amid reports they waited outside the school for more than 70 minutes as suspected gunman Salvador Ramos continued his rampage, ultimately killing 19 students and two teachers.

We learned at the Columbine incident that waiting is not an option. Then we had the cowards of Broward county who refused to go into the school another scumsucking dirtbag was shooting up. Training manuals and procedures all state that in such a situation, don’t wait, go in and find the criminal and either pin him/her down until backup can get there, (Keeping anyone else from being harmed), or kill the son of a bitch.

In a second tweet, the Texas lawmaker defended the officers’ “split-second decisions” and said it was “easy to criticize” following the tense moment.

“Complex scenarios require split-second decisions. Easy to criticize with 20-20 hindsight,” he added.

Wrong again Bushie. The latest information is that the federal agents who took this scumbag out actually violated the orders of the local cop in charge. Then there is the fact that the parents were begging the cops to go in. This is nothing less then flat out incompetence and potentially cowardice.

“There will be plenty of time to sort this out later. Focus now should be on [thorough] investigation and lessons learned to prevent future tragedies, not finger pointing,” he said in a third tweet.

There are no lessons to be learned. They were learned long ago. These losers just ignored the lessons. The lesson is simple, In this situation, you charge to the sound of the guns.

Scrutiny over the hour-plus wait by nearly 20 officers outside the school was renewed after it was learned an active shooter drill from two months before Tuesday’s tragedy instructed first responders to “stop the killing” and that the “officer’s first priority is to move in and confront the attacker.”

Cornyn should have just kept his big mouth shut. He might also want to look at how people with the capability handle similar situations. There was another incident with the potential for mass casualties in Charleston, West Virginia. A convicted felon, who should not have a gun since he is, or was, a convicted felon, opened fire on a large crowd of party goers.

Unlike what happened in Texas or Broward County, someone realized what was happening and put the animal down hard. Here are some of those details from the BBC:

Dennis Butler, a 37-year-old with an extensive criminal history, was killed after he targeted a group of around 40 people attending a birthday party. Police spokesman Tony Hazelett said the woman’s quick reaction saved lives and may have prevented a mass shooting.

Butler had driven by the area earlier on Wednesday evening when he was warned to slow down because children were playing.

From what I’ve been reading about this turd, he was total trash and didn’t care about anyone but himself. He got angry that he was asked to slow down because there were kids running around. Anyone else would have said “Ok, no problem. Thanks for the warning!” and slowed down. Not this walking diaper stain.

He returned armed with an AR-15-type rifle and opened fire from his vehicle on the birthday-graduation party outside the apartment complex in the city.

I would like to know where he got the rifle. As a convicted felon, any gun dealer would have called in a background check, and once it came back, called 911 to have the criminal picked up.

Mr Hazelett told a news conference that the woman who fired back did not have any law enforcement background. She has not been identified. “She’s just a member of the community who was carrying her weapon lawfully,” he said. “And instead of running from the threat she engaged with the threat and saved several lives.”

This is not an unusual occurrence for armed citizens. The same thing happened in New York. A retired police officer fired on the criminal and hit him. He made the mistake of not making sure the target was down, and sadly, he was killed. However, he didn’t run away or wait for someone else to handle the criminal. The woman in Charleston went and got training in how to handle a gun in that situation and when the time came, showed she was up to the challenge. (I wish it hadn’t been necessary of course)

Butler was found dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

I suspect that she read what happened in Buffalo with the body armor and kept firing until she saw blood or brains, and it looks like she fired accurately, meaning she practices.

Charges will not be filed against her, police added.

They damn well better not be! However, this is the difference between what happened in Texas and what happened in Charleston. The “Trained professionals” stood around and did nothing. The “untrained civilian” didn’t hesitate and took out the criminal. (Any hesitation was probably along the lines of making sure she didn’t hit any innocent bystanders)

Getting back to John Cronyn, he is on the wrong side of this story. The officers are rightfully being hammered for not doing their job. The federal officers, ignoring orders from the local police went in and took care of business. They probably woulds have charged in sooner except that they were following basic procedures on command and control. Cronyn needs to shut his cake hole and shut it now. Otherwise, he too will be castigated like all the Swamp Dwellers in Washington, and will be primaried when this term ends. (He should be anyway, but that’s something for another day)
