More entertainment news from Twitter. CBS is suspending all activity

Good day all. It’s been amusing to see the Progressive’s heads collectively explode since Elon Musk took over Twitter. A number of Hollywood Moonbats have announced that they were quitting Twitter, (Although most haven’t. I’m sure they will once they leave the country as they once promised) Now we have one of the main purveyors of Fake News announcing that they are suspending all activity.

The Fake News company is CBS, (Communist Broadcasting Network), and they announced that they were suspending all activity out of an abundance of caution. Here are the details from Fox News:

Fearful of the “uncertainty” surrounding Elon Musk’s management of Twitter, CBS News announced that it would be suspending its usage of the social media site.

CBS News is one of first major media entities to flee Twitter in the wake of threats from many Musk critics to leave the platform once the billionaire Tesla CEO took over the company. The major news network confirmed the move during Friday’s episode of “CBS Evening News with Norah O’Donnell.”

CBS, like all of the Mostly Stupid Media, has used Twitter to push out news stories and opinion pieces, (Not that you can tell the difference these days), with links people can follow. Of course, since they are part of the Democrat Propaganda Corps, they have been granted virtual immunity to say anything they wanted by the prior Twitter management. Now that Musk is in charge, and is cleaning up the mess, CBS, like all of the other progressives, is upset that people they don’t approve of might be able to say things they want banned.

Coverage began with the network reporting on the mass resignations of employees offended by Musk’s “ultimatum” from earlier this week. In his quest to streamline the company, the world’s richest man emailed all employees asking them to commit to an “extremely hardcore” workload or leave the company.

The “ultimatum,” as many disgruntled folks called it, prompted backlash from onlookers who trashed the company under Musk, some calling it a “hellscape.”

I actually read something about this. Someone on Twitter opined that what Musk was doing was what businesses call “Whaling and Culling.” Basically, Musk wants to see who’s willing to work their asses off to improve Twitter, and who are basically useless drains on the company. (Think Wally from Dilbert) Those who left are probably people who really won’t be missed and generally didn’t actually put in a days work.

The ensuing chaos from Musk’s email, as well as the general vitriol generated by him taking over the reins of company, did not sit well with CBS News.

During its segment, titled “Twitter Turmoil,” CBS News national correspondent Jonathan Vigliotti reported in a dire tone, “Tonight, as questions mount over Twitter’s future, Elon Musk offers little reassurance he has a permanent plan, tweeting, ‘What should Twitter do next?’”

Musk does have a plan. He just doesn’t care to share it with CBS News.

The story featured a quote from a disgruntled former engineer who was laid off, who claimed that the culture of Twitter under Musk was “definitely a culture of fear and uncertainty, of anxiety.”

What a whiny crybaby. I have little doubt that this blowhard, (I doubt he actually could be considered a work hard type), did any real work. From what I’ve been seeing, most of the employees spent their time in drum circles or mediation chambers rather then actually working.

Apparently, that anxiety made quite an impression on CBS News. In the middle of the segment, Vigliotti reported the outlet’s decision to pause its usage of Twitter. He reported, “In light of the uncertainty around Twitter, and out of an abundance of caution, CBS News is pausing its activity on the social media site as it continues to monitor the platform.”

An abundance of caution. I like that. It shows that these morons were more interested in pushing the progressive line then actually providing people information they could use. A real news organization wouldn’t care what was going on inside of a company unless it had some news value. Needless to say, people on Twitter let fly at CBS.

NewsBusters managing editor Curtis Houck blasted the outlet, tweeting, “Pure idiocy from CBS News. Don’t whine then about why people don’t trust you when they can’t find you in the 21st century’s public square.”

He added, “CBS News quitting Twitter because they think @ElonMusk will allow hackers or something into their accounts is so weak. This is so stupid my head hurts.

That is one of the “Big Lies” coming out from the Progressives, that Musk doesn’t care about the security of the platform. He actually does, which is why he has been looking at cleaning out the spam and bot accounts and developing a way to verify real users. (And make Twitter profitable while doing this)

The Spectator contributing editor Stephen L. Miller criticized the network, writing, “Twitter does not belong to CBS news and they are going to learn this in a very hard way.”

Twitter doesn’t belong to CBS? Has anyone told CBS management this? They way they’ve been acting, I assumed they were a major stockholder before the takeover.

Conservative content creator Viva Frei celebrated the CBS Twitter pause, tweeting, “Not only is @elonmusk trying to revive free speech on Twitter, but he’s also successfully killing fake news on Twitter! @CBSNews, good riddance to bad rubbish!”

I’ve watched some of Viva Frie’s podcasts. He’s a Canadian lawyer and has provided some interesting commentary on various legal goings on, such as the murder of Parler by Amazon at the behest of Twitter’s former owner. Jack Dorsey. He was also walking around talking to people during the Canadian truck strike before Trudeau showed everyone that they have no rights and belong to the state.

CBS not posting content on Twitter isn’t actually going to hurt Twitter. It will hurt CBS. It would be interesting to see how many people followed links posted by CBS News and the other CBS properties leading back to their site. I suspect they’re going to see a major drop in page views. I’m sure their advertisers won’t be amused at paying for ads that no one is seeing. So long CBS, not that anyone actually cares that you’re hiding under the covers clinging to your teddy bear and security blankey.

***UPDATE****

And CBS’s suspending any updates lasted under 24 hours. According to Louder with Crowder:

CBS News announced they were pausing all activity on Twitter. Like most people who make dramatic proclamations about leaving the bird app, they are already back. It was less than forty-eight hours.

CBS journalismer Jonathan Vigliotti made the announcement on Friday evening: “In light of the uncertainty around Twitter, and out of an abundance of caution, CBS News is pausing its activity on the social media site, as it continues to monitor the platform.”

Less than forty-eight hours later, the PR department issued a statement that “after pausing for much of the weekend to assess the security concerns,” they decided to resume media activity. But rest assured, they will be monitoring the situation.

I suspect that the saw a massive drop off in page views and other ratings. The PR department, actually all PR departments, live and breathe Soviet media, and Twitter has always been their “Go To” platform. Without Twitter, these people have little they can show to justify their jobs. Once again, Musk wins the day.
