FBI’s priorities have little to do with actually solving crimes these days

Good day all. For a long time now people have been questioning the integrity and competence of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In the last two years, people have been wondering if the time has come to just disband the agency altogether, get rid of all the personnel.

More and more information has been coming out on just how badly the FBI has become politicized and an actual threat to the civil rights of Americans. Many think the straw that broke the camels back was the raid on President Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago. Now whistleblowers are coming out and talking with Congress and the media on just how corrupt the FBI has become. Here are the detail from the Daily Wire:

Steve Friend, who was a domestic terrorism investigator before being suspended, told the host of “The Andrew Klavan Show” that the FBI broke its own rules when investigating January 6 cases and arrested people without enough evidence. He also explained how one of his superiors told him that January 6 was a higher priority than pursuing child pornography cases.

When I was moved over to from my child exploitation cases, the assistant special agent in charge even mentioned that he felt that child pornography was going to be a local issue and that domestic terrorism, specifically January 6th, was the higher priority,” Friend said.

The Democrats have been using the January 6th protest as their Reichstag fire. There are people in jail who have not been tied, have not been indicted and have not seen a judge. They are actual political prisoners. You also have the FBI going out and either threatening people or even arresting them who were no where near Washington that day.

The whistleblower added that when he started getting involved on January 6 cases, he noticed that they were “more or less being directed from Washington, D.C.,” even though local field offices usually call most of the shots on cases. Friend explained that this was “inconsistent with FBI rules.”

This isn’t at all surprising. From what I’ve read, the Mar-a-Lago raid was carried out by the Washington office and the Florida FBI agents had no idea it was even going to happen until the last minute. (If at all until it was underway)

Agents on the ground have agreed with my sentiments that we’re being overly aggressive,” the whistleblower said of pursuing alleged January 6 rioters. According to Friend, the gap between management and the field within the FBI is proof that “massive reform” is needed at the headquarters.

No, it doesn’t need massive reform. Those days are long past. The FBI needs to be abolished. There are, perhaps, 5% of the current agents who are worth transferring to a new, much smaller and radically different agency. If it’s a new agency, then they will be dedicated to investigating but will have NO powers of arrest. Alternatively, revamp the U.S. Marshal service with an investigative branch.

Those who might be transferred, they will need to apply and be put through serious retraining. For the rest? Termination from government service with any security clearances revoked.

The way things are going now, there will be an incident, and a bloody one. No one has a crystal ball that can see the future, but it’s not beyond the realm of possibility that a few hundred agents get into a pitched battle with a group and lose, badly. If that happens, where hundreds of agents are killed wounded and captured by armed and angry citizens, possibly with the aid of local and state law enforcement, it’s all over for the agency and, more then likely, the DoJ in it’s current form.

If you don’t think that could happen, one of the things that wasn’t really covered was the reaction to the Mar-a-Lago raid. When people found out what was happening, they started heading down to the Trump home and they were armed. Not to hurt President Trump and his family, but to deal with the FBI. They never got organized, (Unlike what happened at the Bundy Ranch), and the FBI had pulled out by the time people started arriving, but that is the kind of situation I’m talking about.

The FBI needs to go away, and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center needs to be completely overhauled. Not only that, but we also need to start reducing the number of federal law enforcement agents and reexamining just what they are needed for before a situation like the one I outlined happens.
