Twitter’s “Trust and Safety” head helped suppress the Hunter Biden laptop story

Good day all. Since Elon Musk took over Twitter, there have been major changes starting with getting rid of the “Old Guard.” (The CEO, Legal and Twitter’s chief censor) Next came the layoffs with about 50% of the staff shown the door. There have also been a few resignations of some holdovers as well.

Recently senior members of Twitter’s privacy and security team loudly resigned, accusing Elon Musk of not caring about the security of the platform. Here are a few details on that from ABC News:

Senior members of Twitter’s privacy and security teams have exited the company, according to an internal message from a company lawyer obtained by ABC News that warns of employment contract violations and legal repercussions if new owner Elon Musk doesn’t comply with an FTC agreement.

Among the staffers that left were chief privacy officer Damien Kieran, chief compliance officer Marianne Fogarty and chief information officer Lea Kissner, according to the message. Kissner confirmed their resignation in a Tweet earlier this morning. None have responded to ABC’s request for comment.

I would take anything these people say regarding the security and privacy of the platform with a truckload of salt, especially when you read how the head of the department worked to suppress the Hunter Biden Laptop story in 2020. Here are those details from Fox News:

The leader of Twitter’s head of trust and safety who resigned last week following Election Day had played a role in the platform’s censoring of the Hunter Biden laptop story before Elon Musk’s takeover. Yoel Roth, the head of trust and safety at Twitter who had been praised by Musk for defending the platform’s ongoing efforts to fight harmful misinformation and hate speech, resigned as of Thursday.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Musk probably would have canned this bozo and his team if he knew about the role they played in suppressing the Hunter Biden story.

With Roth at the helm them, Twitter’s Site Integrity team prevented users from sharing the Post’s reporting on the Hunter Biden laptop publicly, as well as barred users from sending the link to the story to others through private messages.

In 2021, Roth later justified the decision, explaining that he met with government officials frequently in 2020 to discuss election security, and through those meetings learned of “rumors that a hack-and-leak operation would involve Hunter Biden” close to the election.

In other words, they were talking with the Deep State operatives that were working to sabotage the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump and violate the 1st Amendment rights of, in this case, the New York Post.

Years earlier, Roth had previously referred to Trump and his team as “ACTUAL NAZIS,” mocked Trump supporters by saying that “we fly over those states that voted for a racist tangerine for a reason,” and called Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., a “personality-free bag of farts.”

Despite firing most executives, including the chief executive, financial chief and legal chief, when he assumed ownership on Twitter on Oct. 27, Musk seemingly defended Roth’s past remarks on Trump.

“We’ve all made some questionable tweets, me more than most, but I want to be clear that I support Yoel. My sense is that he has high integrity, and we are all entitled to our political beliefs,” Musk tweeted Oct. 30, responding to a message from journalist Liz Wheeler explicitly citing Roth’s “actual Nazis” and “racist tangerine” descriptors for Trump and those who supported him in the White House.

No one is perfect and Elon Musk flat out said that mistakes will be made. Yost was one of them. Yost was clearly abusing his authority to make sure that the Hunter Biden story never saw the light of day. Many Biden voters have stated that if they had known about the laptop and the contents, (Which were available online), they would never have voted for the corrupt retard. As for Yost, has has no problem suppressing anything opinions he doesn’t like.

Roth stayed with the company ahead of the 2022 midterm elections. On Wednesday, he tweeted, “Update on our efforts to combat hateful conduct: We’ve not only mitigated the recent surge in harmful behavior, but have reduced impressions on this content in Search by ~95% relative to even prior baseline levels. We’re continuing our work to make Twitter safer every day.”

I was one of the victims of this Fascist scumbag’s ideas of “Good Speech.” I wrote a post regarding a Democrat poll worker being ejected and facing potential prosecution for his actions. It was locked out as “Misleading.” (I was commenting on a Fox News Story regarding the poll worker), As a joke and not expecting to hear anything about the tweet in question, I wrote this post, Paging Elon Musk! Please Pick up the white courtesy phone.

When Yost and the others quit, all of a sudden internal communications were leaked to the Usual Suspect in the media and the FTC decided to issue a threat toward Elon Musk. What I think happened was yet another group of Fascist Totalitarians who hate the idea of people being able to speak their mind, quit and decided to do as much damage as the could.

Well, there is that ongoing lawsuit against Big Tech, of which Twitter is part of, regarding coordinating with government agencies to censor speech they didn’t approve of. With the change of ownership and management, I don’t know how things will proceed with regards to Twitter. I do suspect that a number of the former management team are going to be raked over the coals in court, and they aren’t going to have Twitter’s or Musk’s lawyers working for them. All I can say is, good riddance to these scum. Hopefully, they will get their comeuppance in a court, and get to live in a tent on a sidewalk in San Francisco.
