Good day all. What can you say about Don Lemon? Quite a bit of course. Don Lemon was one of CNN’s “Fair haired boys” under the previous management. When AT&T finally unloaded CNN on WarnerMedia, new management came in and started whacking all the old leftists. Most expected Lemon to be one of the first shown the door, however, he’s managed to hold on even after losing his show and time slot.
However, Lemon has managed to continue making a complete fool of himself, and it appears he may have gone just that one step to far in his attack on Nikki Haley when she announced she was running for President. Here are the details from Fox News:
Critics of CNN anchor Don Lemon called for the network to fire him after his controversial comments demeaning 2024 GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley. Amidst the furor over Lemon’s statements this week about Haley not being in her “prime” while running for president, Twitter users claimed that this might be the time to finally axe the “CNN This Morning” host.
It’s been time to axe Don Lemon for quite a while now. Many people are surprised he is still on the air, even in his diminished role. As for what this jerk said, here are a few details from another Fox News article:
CNN’s Don Lemon claimed Thursday that former U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley, who just announced her 2024 bid for president, was not in her “prime” and said any discussion about age made him “uncomfortable.”
“This whole talk about age makes me uncomfortable. I think it’s the wrong road to go down. She says people, you know, politicians are something if not in their prime. Nikki Haley isn’t in her prime, sorry. A woman is considered to be in their prime in 20s and 30s and maybe 40s,” Lemon said.
Haley, when she made her comments regarding mental competency tests was aiming at President* Bumbles Dementia Biden. However, being the little backstabber that she is, she was also talking about the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump.
Lemon, on the other hand, has no idea at all about a “Woman’s Prime.” He doesn’t like women. His preferences are well known and his contempt for the “Fairer sex,” (There are two sexes. Male and female), are also well known, just hidden. Now he has committed the cardinal sin. He’s commented on a woman’s age in a negative manner. Even so, his co-host threw him a lifeline.
Co-host Poppy Harlow questioned what he meant by “prime” and Lemon said that it wasn’t according to him.
“It depends, just like ‘prime,’ if you look it up. If you Google it, when is a woman in her prime, it’ll say 20s, 30s and 40s,” he continued. “I’m not saying I agree with that. I think she has to be careful about saying that, you know, politicians are in their prime.”
I’ve heard the cringes when this blithering idiot shot his mouth off were audible over the studio mikes. Needless to say, his remarks went over like a lead Chinese Spy Balloon. A CNN insider told Fox News Digital that while everyone makes mistakes, women inside the network were extremely upset with his comments.
Another insider described it thusly: “Everyone’s annoyed… People are definitely upset about it.”
“I was trying to figure out what the hell he was even talking about,” a third CNN insider said. “None of it made sense, it was a stupid thing to say.”
If this is what made it out of CNN, then it must be a lot worse inside. Lemon has been trying to dig himself out of the very deep hole he’s dug for himself, but it doesn’t look like it’s working to well.
The comments sparked intense outrage, including at CNN. Reportedly, Lemon’s colleagues at the network were unhappy with Lemon, even after an apology that he phoned in to the network’s morning editorial call.
I wonder what he said? Probably something like “I’m sorry you’re all idiots and can’t understand what a great intellect I am.”
A CNN insider told Fox News Digital the call was “Most pathetic attempt at an apology I have ever heard in my life.”
The insider added that Lemon is a “f——g a–hole” for claiming that he must not be sexist simply because he has women in his life and compared it to a White person trying to downplay racists comments by insisting they have Black friends.
Meanwhile, those on the right have been having a merry old time at Lemon’s expense.
Immigration lawyer Matthew Kolken alluded to Lemon’s potential ouster, tweeting, What’s the Don Lemon countdown timer at? I love it when they cancel their own.”
There are, of course, calls that Lemon be fired.
Author Jennifer Sey argued that Lemon deserved the axe from CNN, tweeting, “Can @CNN please fire Don Lemon already. He’s spewing sexist garbage — women are only in their prime in their 20s/30s/40s — cuz google says so!”
She added, “Assumedly google means ‘prime’ for having children. Which is not the only way for a woman to be in her prime. Unless you’re a sexist…”
Radio host Larry Mendte said that CNN may have reason to terminate Lemon finally. He tweeted, “I’ve worked with Don Lemon and he is a nightmare and absolutely a misogynist. @CNN has been looking for an excuse to fire him. After the lowest ratings in prime time and now the lowest ratings in the morning…I think they have it!”
Don Lemon is one of the last of the Jeff Zucker on air (Non)Personalities. He has regularly disgraced himself and suffers from Stage 4 Trump Derangement Syndrome. He, like many on air Progressives, has a very high opinion of himself and like most progressives, doesn’t think the rules he demands other live by apply to him. It’s long past time for this worthless loser to be shown the door. We shall see if Lemon manages to wiggle his way out of this mess or if Chris Licht finally decides he’s not worth keeping around any longer. (Apparently not. More on this development in another post)
