Good day all. Since the worst president* in history was installed into the White House, he, or more accurately, his handlers, have been at war with with the American energy sector.
When the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump, left office, energy process were low and the United States was, for the first time in decades, a net energy exporter.
Within hours of his taking office, Bumbles Biden started destroying the fossil fuel, signing an executive order killing the KeystoneXL pipeline. That threw thousands of people out of work, and those were high paying jobs, and cost the economy billions of dollars. Now, the senile idiot has decided his next target is fossil fueled power plants. Here are the details from Fox News:
The Biden administration is reportedly finalizing a proposal that would force fossil fuel-fired power plants to substantially curb emissions or utilize costly carbon capture technology.
The proposal — which will soon be released by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) — is expected to require coal- and natural gas-fired power plants to cut or capture the vast majority of their carbon dioxide emissions by 2040, The New York Times reported on Saturday, citing officials briefed on a draft of the plan. The regulation, if finalized, would represent the first-ever federal action curbing power plant emissions.
“EPA cannot comment because the proposals are currently under interagency review,” EPA spokesperson Maria Michalos told Fox News Digital in a statement.
That hasn’t stopped you in the past, and it won’t now.
“But we have been clear from the start that we will use all of our legally-upheld tools, grounded in decades-old bipartisan laws, to address dangerous air pollution and protect the air our children breathe today and for generations to come,” Michalos said.
In other words, we are taking complete control of the power grid and punishing everyone who stands in our way of making America a failed state. There are over 3000 fossil fueled power plants in the United State, both Natural Gas and Coal. Without a doubt, if they shove these rules down our throats, the power grid will collapse. The American power grid is already rather shaky and needs substantial updates and upgrades. That will take time and a ton of money.
Normally, power plants will budget upgrades to their anti-pollution systems. One of the problems, again caused by the EPA, is that when a power plant wants to do these upgrades, it’s all or nothing. They are not allowed to add a few improvements as money allows, so they put things off until they can gather the financial resources. This means the plants are dirtier then they need to be, thanks to the incompetence and stupidity of the Environmental Protection Agency.
EPA data shows that the electric power sector accounts for about 25% of total U.S. emissions, placing it behind only the transportation sector and slightly ahead of the industrial sector. As such, fossil fuel power plants have been targeted by environmentalists and Democratic lawmakers who argue that emissions must be reduced in an effort to stave off cataclysmic climate change.
Shortly after he took office, President Biden pledged to enable the nation to achieve an up to 52% total emission reduction by 2030 and to create a carbon pollution-free power sector by 2035.
And he won’t care how many people he has to kill to to this. This is not hyperbole. There is no way the United States can achieve this without shutting down all energy production in North America. They already have rolling blackouts in Kalifornistan because of their disastrous policies. Now they want to make it nationwide.
Without question, cities will be blacked out for days. That means no water, no heat or air conditioning, and no food. Now this is the first I’ve heard about these new rules, and I have little doubt that a lot of states are hearing about it for the first time as well. If energy companies tell their state utility commissions that they are shutting down all these plants because of these rules, there are going to be a number of governors screaming to the high heavens.
“Setting effective, affordable power plant carbon standards under the Clean Air Act now can ensure that the power industry delivers the emissions reductions needed to help meet the climate crisis,” argued an issue brief released this month by the Natural Resources Defense Council, an influential environmental group. “Time is of the essence.”
“The EPA needs to move expeditiously, proposing power plant carbon standards soon as promised and finalizing them by early next year,” the brief added. “This will allow states and power companies to get to work on implementing them, so we can curb this dangerous pollution and safeguard the climate as soon as possible.”
This is nothing more than a power grab by the new Progressive religion, Global Warming Climate Change. The whole idea is to tighten the screws on the American People and move the United States to the socialist totalitarian system with the Progressive Elites ruling everything. The good news is that the energy sector is fighting back.
“The expected EPA regulation is just the latest in President Biden’s anti-fossil fuels agenda, coercing the retirement of electricity sources that are needed during the grid transition,” Michelle Bloodworth, the president and CEO of America’s Power, a coal power trade group, told Fox News Digital.
“EPA’s actions are contrary to the concerns of grid operators and other energy experts who have warned about possible electricity shortages,” she continued.
The problem here is simple. They don’t care. They will make sure that they, the ruling elites, are taken care of. Do you think that dumb bimbo. Alexandria Occasional-Cortex will ever have a problem recharging her Tesla? Of course not! It will be the people she allegedly represents who will suffer.
The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in June 2022 that an Obama-era rule limiting power plant emissions under the Clean Air Act was unconstitutional, since Congress never granted the EPA the explicit power to issue such regulations. But the Inflation Reduction Act passed two months after that ruling allows the EPA to regulate greenhouse gas emissions.
And there you have it. The Courts knew that this was garbage, and thanks to the Tainted Election of 2020, the Democratic Communazis gained full control of the administrative and legislative branches. This needs to be repealed now. Of course, the Democrats, being the party of totalitarianism, Fascism and Communism, won’t allow that to happen.
It’s going to take the States pushing back and hard, up to and including threatening flat out arresting federal authorities if they try and enforce this. Once again, thanks to the Progressive Liberal religious fanatics, if this goes through and is allowed to stand, we will have moved one step closer to national collapse and civil war. There is only one thing that might save us from that horror.
