Good day all. Senator Joe Manchin, (D-WV), has finally managed to blow a hole in the bottom of his credibility and is slowly foundering. Now that he is getting credible opponents, both in the Republican party and his own Democrat party. Manchin is again making noises about leaving the Democrat party.
Manchin has acted as a tie breaker along with Arizona’s Krysten Sinema. Neither one of them were the hard left moonbats that no populate the Democrat Party. However, that isn’t saying much. Recently, Sinema bolted the Democrat party and is now an independent. She is trying to use that as a way to hold on to her seat when she runs for reelection in 2024. Joe Manchin, looking at his poll numbers, which appear to be dropping faster then Fox News’s ratings, is now considering bolting the party himself. Here are the details from the Washington Examiner:
Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) is keeping his 2024 decision close to the vest. While many speculate he will run for reelection in the Senate, the centrist Democrat is stirring rumors that he may opt to run for the White House — on a third-party ticket.
It sounds like he might be thinking of joining the No Labels Party. I wrote about that group a few weeks ago. This group is scaring the crap out of the Democrats since they think this party will pull Democrat voters from their plantation. I have a suspicion that Robert Kennedy Jr. might run under their banner as well if he doesn’t get the Democrat Nomination. (Which he won’t)
Manchin is one of several centrist Democratic senators, such as Sens. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) and Jon Tester (D-MT), who often vote against or openly criticize policies championed by President Joe Biden and more left-leaning senators. He is known for working across the aisle to achieve bipartisanship on major matters, such as the Inflation Reduction Act.
It’s the Inflation Increase Act, and that is why Manchin is in so much trouble back in West Virginia. He basically sold out his own constituents and got screwed over by Schumer. Manchin’s polling numbers are heading into Biden territory, and it looks like the jig is up, and he will be spending more time with his family as he seeks other opportunities elsewhere. (Don’t you love all those phrases used to announce some high level individual has been FIRED!?)
Manchin might leave the Democrat Party but there is no way the Republican base will accept him. He’s shown he’s an untrustworthy backstabbing Deep State Uniparty weasel. People like Cocaine Mitch McConnell might like to have him join the party, but there is no strategic reason to welcome him. He’s burned to many bridges with his constituents in West Virginia. Stick the fork in, he’s done.
