There is one thing you can always count on a hard left American academic to do when they aren’t getting what they want, is to go running to the United Nations and demand that they force the United States to do what they, the academics want.
In this case, we have one Justin Hansford, from Howard University demanding that the United Nations force the United States to pay blacks $5 million dollars each. Here are the details from the Daily Mail:
A group of African American academics is pushing for a UN ‘reparations tribunal’ to make Washington pay multimillion dollar sums to black citizens for slavery-era abuses, DailyMail.com can reveal.
Justin Hansford, a professor at Howard University School of Law, led the charge for $5 million payouts to black Americans at the UN this week, flanked by colleagues from the University of Pittsburgh and Columbia University.
The long-shot effort underscores how reparation payouts are unpopular among white American taxpayers and have little chance of becoming federal law, leaving advocates scrambling for a workaround.
Long shot effort? How about no shot? That these bozos even think that the UN has any authority to issue orders to the United States Government on internal matters, (or external for that matter), indicates to me that these morons need to be dismissed from the universities they are currently employed at. They obviously can’t be bothered teaching students. (Indoctrinating in their bigoted world view perhaps, but not actually teaching them anything useful)
‘I come to you today with a novel proposal, that we begin to think our own thoughts, propose our own vision of justice, and implement that justice,’ Hansford told UN racial justice talks in New York City this week.
He called for a ‘process of apology, and reparation — not on their terms, but on our terms.’
Hansford, a rising star of the critical race theory movement who draws on the teachings of Martin Luther King Jr, spoke at the UN Permanent Forum on People of African Descent, a group that was created in 2021.
This clown is using the teachings of Martin Luther King to push his Critical Race Theory crap? Everything I remember about king leads me to believe he would tell this pinhead to knock it off. CRT is basically the opposite of everything Dr. King wanted.
The ‘special tribunal’ was formally proposed by David Comissiong, representing Barbados, a Caribbean island state.
A special tribunal? For what? We had a little thing called the Civil War, and one of the reasons for it, although not the primary reason, was slavery. When the Confederacy lost, the slaves were freed. Now if you want to investigate the Confederate States of America, knock yourselves out. (No really. Go drive your heads into a wall and knock yourselves out)
Hansford quickly endorsed the plan. He later told DailyMail.com that many African and Caribbean UN members were behind the scheme.
I wonder if anyone understands that most of the Caribbean island nations were primarily British controlled, not American. In fact, the United States didn’t have any territory in Africa for that matter. So why are these loser agreeing to this? (The answer is simple. They want to shake down the United States for money)
The UN General Assembly in 2005 created a five-point legal framework for reparations for victims of slavery and other abuses, which can lead to payouts, apologies, and demand policy changes.
But like much of the UN system, decisions are not legally binding, and it remains unclear whether a tribunal could do anything other than add some external pressure to buoy racial justice activists in the US.
Oh I think that the answer to that question is a resounding “Go take a long walk off a short pier.” Most Americans flat out despise the United Nations and want the U.S. to pull out and then kick the UN out of the United States.
Advocates of reparations say it’s time for America to repay its black residents for the injustices of the historic Transatlantic slave trade, Jim Crow segregation and inequalities that persist to this day.
Then you need to talk to the Democrat Party since they’re the ones who pushed all that crap in the first place. Oh wait. That’s right. You’re all members of the Democrat elite and they can’t be held responsible, only Republicans, Asians and Deplorable UltraMAGA Caucasians can be held liable.
The whole Reparations deal is just another way for the Progressive Liberal Democrat Racists to further divide Americans into groups. This allows them to pit one group against another to their, the Progressive Liberal Democrats, benefit.
For generations people considered America to be the “Great Melting Pot.” The idea was that people would come in from other countries. Throw away the garbage part of their original culture and “Melt” in the good parts, making America’s culture even stronger. This wasn’t perfect of course, not by a long shot, but it was a goal people looked to.
With the election of Barack Obama and his anti-American and racist policies, things have taken a turn for the worse. People like this “Professor” Hansford have no interest in improving things. They just want to make things worse so they can benefit. That he considers the UN to be more important then the United States tells me all I need to know. He can go commit an impossible sexual act on himself.
