Greetings nice people, (And the 200 bots now on the site), we have been down for about 90 minutes. We are now back online and trying to triage what the Hell happened.
I think, with the able assistance of our hosting service, I have tracked down the issue. It looks like it was a bad plugin, specifically something in Jetpack. I was able to FTP into the back and and rename the plugin directories to confirm this and the site loaded.
However, when I reenabled them, things went south again. It looks like the specific Jetpack plugin that blew things up was Jetpack Boost. I have disabled and deleted it from the site. I will speak with the Angry Webmoron about putting plugins into the WordPress back end without vetting them without having me vet them.
This plugin may have been causing issues for some time now and we just didn’t see it. In any case, it’s been removed. We do apologize for the issues. Thank you for your patience.
