DoJ runs up the White Flag on Trump Lawfare

Good day all. The fallout of the Trump landslide victory has begun. Merrick Garland, probably trying to save his own skin, has announced that he is surrendering and is looking to wind down the bogus prosecutions against President Trump.

When it looked like the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump, wasn’t going to just fade away, the Biden DoJ along with several local Soros DA’s and AG’s decided to try and railroad President Trump into bankruptcy and prison. I won’t bother going over all the lawfare actions taken against President Trump, his family and allies, it’s already been done.

After all the fake charges, kangaroo courts and a bogus conviction, President Trump continued fighting back, and Tuesday, November 5th, 2024, President Donald J. Trump utterly crushed Kamala Harris and won both the electoral vote and the popular vote in a landslide. Now that Donald Trump is President-Elect Trump and on course to be the 47th President of the United States come January 20th, 2025, Garland has announced that the DoJ is going to wind down the cases against him. Here are the details from Fox News:

The Justice Department is looking to wind down two federal criminal cases against President-elect Trump as he prepares to be sworn in for a second term in the White House — a decision that upholds long-standing policy that prevents Justice Department attorneys from prosecuting a sitting president.

Like the DoJ had a choice? As of 12:01PM EST January 20th, 2025, Donald Trump will have been sworn in and become the 47th President. Within minutes, orders would have gone out to remove Garland from his post as Attorney General, and as soon as the courts opened, Jack Smith’s replacements would have informed the courts that all charges were being dropped.

In making this argument, Justice Department officials cited a memo from the Office of Legal Counsel filed in 2000, which upholds a Watergate-era argument that asserts it is a violation of the separation of powers doctrine for the Justice Department to investigate a sitting president.

It further notes that such proceedings would “unduly interfere in a direct or formal sense with the conduct of the Presidency.”

“In light of the effect that an indictment would have on the operations of the executive branch, ‘an impeachment proceeding is the only appropriate way to deal with a President while in office,’” the memo said in conclusion.

That’s a nice excuse. The reality is quite a bit different. Right off the bat was the raid on Mar-a-lago under very questionable circumstances. Then there was the tampering with evidence that’s come to light, the fact that Jack Smith was illegally appointed to “Get Trump!” and an Obama Judge who was happily abusing her authority in the Trump case as well as hundreds of others. What Garland and the others are now worried about is what the New Attorney General is going to do.

Former Attorney General Bill Barr told Fox News Digital that a Trump-appointed attorney general could immediately halt all federal cases brought by current Special Counsel Jack Smith in Washington, D.C., and Florida.

Although Trump would be powerless to halt two state cases filed in Georgia and New York, Barr said local prosecutors and judges need to move on from the “spectacle” of prosecuting the president-elect.

The recent Civil case against President Trump, the one that awarded a $400+ million dollar judgment, was recently heard in the New York Appellate Court. The court basically ripped apart the civil case against President Trump and is probably going to announce that it is being over turned in the next week or so.

The criminal case was so blatantly rigged, that the Judge, Juan Merchan, may decide to overturn the jury verdict and direct a verdict of acquittal. Not because he doesn’t want to put President Trump in jail, but to keep his own ass out of prison.

The charges in D.C. stem from Trump’s alleged efforts to overturn the outcome of the 2020 presidential election. In Florida, they are centered on Trump’s handling of classified documents after leaving the White House in 2020.

Which was absolutely bogus. President Trump, along with millions of people, had some serious questions regarding the honesty of the 2020 election. Since then, despite the Democrats and the MSM, most of those questions remain with a few new ones. One major question now is, what happened to 16 million people who voted in 2020?

And though Trump would be powerless to halt two state cases filed in Georgia and New York, Barr said local prosecutors and judges need to move on from the “spectacle” of prosecuting the president-elect.

“Further maneuvering on these cases in the weeks ahead would serve no legitimate purpose and only distract the country and the incoming administration from the task at hand,” Barr said.

Barr is, as usual, mistaken that the Federal Government can’t do anything about the out of control courts and DA’s in New York and Georgia. Right off the bat, I can’t think of several civil rights charges, and it looks like Fani Willis may have been playing fast and loose with the taxpayer’s money. Add to that, if it’s found that the DoJ and the Biden Maladministration were actively involved in cooking all this up? Besides, in New York, the appellate court has already ripped Leticia Jame’s people several new ones on the civil case. They’re probably salivating at handling the criminal appeal.

In a little over 2 months, the nightmare of the Biden-Harris maladministration will be over. In the Hoover building, senior FBI personnel are rapidly looking to retire before Inauguration day and President Trump starts cleaning house. The same thing is happening in the DoJ. What happens next year when the new A.G. comes in and starts looking around, we can’t say. Hopefully, there will be some indictments of the worst offenders in the DoJ and assorted “Law” enforcement agencies.

    • They’re Democrats. Of course they’re up to something. I did see the report that Jack Smith is planning to resign before inauguration day. Probably needs the time to get ready to run for a non-extradition country.
