Good day all. One of the things the Moonbats on the Left have been screaming about is reports that President Trump will use the military to round up illegal aliens. On November 18th, President Trump confirmed this.
As expected, the Leftards went nuts about this and are calling it confirmation that President Trump will declare martial law and arrest everyone. Of course, that isn’t what President Trump intends. His announcement was that he intended to use “Military Assets” to deport the millions of illegal aliens now in the United States. Here are the details from Newsmax:

The confirmation came from a Monday morning Truth Social post from Trump’s account, calling a tweet from Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton speculating on those moves “true.”
“GOOD NEWS: Reports are the incoming @RealDonaldTrump administration prepared to declare a national emergency and will use military assets to reverse the Biden invasion through a mass deportation program,” Fitton wrote in the Truth Social post Trump replied to with confirmation.
Now the left, as I mentioned, instantly took this to mean that the Army and Marines would be deployed to Blue Cities and start kicking doors. That is not what President Trump intends, and it could run into Posse comitatus issues. Instead, I suspect we will see the military acting in a support role to ICE and the Border Patrol, providing logistics support as the illegals are rounded up. Think of the Air Force sending in transport planes and the army sending in trucks to get these people out of the country as fast and humanely as possible.
Trump made border security and legal immigration top priorities in his third presidential election campaign, repeatedly vowing the “largest deportation force” in world history. There had been concerns from the left the military was going to be used domestically, but Trump said on the campaign trail that border security is national security.
Now putting armed troops on the border is not an issue except to Progressive Liberal Democrats. Defending the border is basically the primary job of any nation’s military. That includes issuing weapons and ammunition. We’re already seeing armed criminals from the Cartels crossing the border and have fired on the Border Patrol. Put the army on the border with orders to shoot anyone they see crossing, especially if they’re armed. That is what President Trump means.
Only Democrats want the Army deployed inside the United States and then only to carry out the diktats of the Democrat Party. Now you can see why they are so upset with the idea of President Trump using the military. They think he will do what they actually want to do, only against them. Sorry to disappoint you Democrats. That isn’t what is going to happen.

I could see using the military to provide, as you said, transport of the illegals. I can also see them running, let call them holding facilities, possibly even on military bases (Sierra Army Depot has LOTS of open space and isn’t exactly somewhere they’d be able to escape and disappear into a crowd from) until arrangements have been made to ship them back to their country of origin.
The trick will be getting cooperation from the countries they came from.
Although, I wouldn’t entirely shed a tear if the solution was to land a plane with a load of illegals from country X in said country, open the ramp at the back, and as they walk out of the plane hand them a gift box with some blankets and military field rations and tell them to have a nice day. Cartel / violent criminals that can be confirmed to be such? I’d rather not leave in writing my idea for them…
One solution as you suggested would be sending in the Marines and take control of one or more ports of entry. Then ship all their citizens back. Once done, pull out with the job completed.
