So, The Democrats Don’t give a rats ass about the country

Greetings all, Angry Webmaster here. I’ve been following the crap that passes for legislating with regards to the National debt. First, I’m utterly opposed to raising the debt ceiling. If I have to live within my means, then so should the morons in Washington.

The House of Representatives have done their duties under the Constitution and sent several measures to the Senate. Senate Majority leader, Harry Reid (D-Nevada), has refused to even allow the bills to come to a vote in the Senate. He and Obama are basically saying the Republicans need to roll over and do the bidding of their elitist Progressive masters.

My feelings about John Boehner and Mitch McConnell have already appeared on this site. In a nutshell, they can’t be trusted and need to go. However, the antics of the Democrats here and their Fellow Travelers in the Media, have gone over the top.

Dingy Harry Reid and Barack Hussein Obama have shown they don’t care about the country, only about their personal power. If the United States collapses, that’s just fine with them. What we are seeing is the Democrats true colors. If they can’t be in charge then let it all burn.

Now they are trying to manufacture a means to ignore Congress and allow Obama to basically rule by decree. They are claiming that the 14th Amendment grants the President the right to raise the debt level without congress.

Let’s see what the 14th Amendment ACTUALLY says:

Amendment XIV

Section 1.

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

Section 2.

Representatives shall be apportioned among the several states according to their respective numbers, counting the whole number of persons in each state, excluding Indians not taxed. But when the right to vote at any election for the choice of electors for President and Vice President of the United States, Representatives in Congress, the executive and judicial officers of a state, or the members of the legislature thereof, is denied to any of the male inhabitants of such state, being twenty-one years of age, and citizens of the United States, or in any way abridged, except for participation in rebellion, or other crime, the basis of representation therein shall be reduced in the proportion which the number of such male citizens shall bear to the whole number of male citizens twenty-one years of age in such state.

Section 3.

No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any state legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any state, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

Section 4.

The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. But neither the United States nor any state shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave; but all such debts, obligations and claims shall be held illegal and void.

Section 5.

The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.

It appears that the Democrats are referring to Section 4. Pity it doesn’t say ANYTHING about the President the right to raise the Debt ceiling and borrow money without an act of Congress. Now, according to Shmoop.com

Section 4 of the Fourteenth Amendment prohibited payment of any debt owed to the defunct Confederate States of America and also banned any payment to former slaveholders as compensation for the loss of their human property.

Now the courts have never ruled on this because no one was stupid enough to try and pull the crap the Democrats are. I’m of the opinion that of Obama does this, he needs to be impeached from office. Of course, the Democrats will protect him since they’re just as crooked as he is.

Can we say “Constitutional Crises?” Sure we can!

I am on another forum with a lot of correct thinking people, a lot of them former and current military. A lot of them are wondering when the Domestic part of “All enemies, Foreign AND Domestic” kicks in.

Not one of them wants a civil war, which is what this would mean, but they’re saying that if it comes, they will not back the current government. From what some of the real experts say, under a worse case scenario, it could cost up to 20 million lives, most of them on the left. This would be bad.

Some on that forum think the shooting will start in the next 6-12 months. I’m of a mind that it may be years before that happens and a lot of things have to happen first. Here is what I posted:

Personally, I think we’re a ways from actual shooting unless something unanticipated occurs. Here’s what I think is might happen.

Stage 1. We’re in this stage now. You have the Tea Party Republicans trying to do what they were elected for, make structural cuts and save the country. Depending on what happens, we will move to Stage 2.

Stage 2. The 2012 election. If the Democrats and RINO Republicans get slaughtered at the polls and the Tea Party types move in, they will probably begin the structural changes we need. If not then Stage 3.

Stage 3. The Tea Party is isolated at the Federal level by the Establishment party and marginalized. However they continue growing at the state and local level. These people then really start putting the screws to the Federal Government. If and when the Feds push back, we get Stage 4.

Stage 4. Constitutional Convention. A trigger point is reached between the states and the Federal Government and the push starts for a Constitutional Convention. If it happens, amendments will be sent to the states, probably designed to reign in the Federal Overreach. Reinforcement of the 10th Amendment, term limits, rewriting of the Commerce Clause to mean what it was intended. (Insure the smooth flow of goods services and now data between the states) Balanced budget, rewriting of the 16th Amendment to either remove the Income tax or limit the amount that can be collected.
Etc. Etc. Etc. If Stage 4 fails for some reason, such as shenanigans by the Federal Government, then Stage 5 happens.

Stage 5. Refusal of states to recognize the federal government and refusal to send money to them. Not quite succession but a definite shot across the bows. If the Federal Government retaliates, such as trying to arrest people or government officials in these states, then you will have Stage 6.

Stage 6. Succession. I can see the Red States breaking away and forming a new country. This would probably include most of the original Confederate States and most of the Midwest. I would include Alaska and possibly New Hampshire. (Although NH will be cut off) The Blue states will be the Northeast, West, Hawaii and the northern Midwest. (Michigan, Minnesota perhaps, chunks of Illinois. I’ll let those who know the areas better comment)

If that happens, I suspect the Military will probably move to the Red State areas. Not all, but most. The Red states will ignore the blue states. The Blue states will go even further into Moonbat land and eventually, (Say within 3-5 years) completely collapse. At that point they will send “refugees” into the Red States and that’s when the shooting begins.

Of course the Red States will win and take over the blue states. The moonbats that aren’t killed will probably flee to Europe.

This is one scenario and may not happen. There are a lot of triggers that will happen that can short circuit this timeline and “Save the Union!” and I don’t mean the SEIU.

I think if we can hold on until the next election we can remove the Democrats and their Establishment RINO Republicans. At least I HOPE we can.
