Good day all. President Trump spent a long first night signing executive orders undoing the damage caused by the Biden Maladministration over the last four years. President Trump was also signing EO’s dealing with National Security. One of these dealt with the Cartels that have been smuggling drugs and other things into the United States.

Last night, (January 20th), President Trump signed an order designating the Cartels as terrorist organizations. Here are the details from the Associated with terrorists Press:
President Donald Trump signed an executive order Monday saying the United States would designate drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations in a move that could push a militarized agenda for the border and Latin America.

The order highlighted Mexican drug cartels and other Latin American criminal groups like Venezuela gang Tren de Aragua and Salvadoran gang Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13), which it said “threaten the safety of the American people, the security of the United States, and the stability of the international order in the Western Hemisphere.”
Which they are and have been doing. MS-13 is one of the more violent gangs out there, and Tren de Aragua has only recently, (Like since January 20th, 2021), started showing up in places like Aurora, Colorado. Neither the Biden DoJ, the local Soros DA’s and AG’s or the Democrat office holders have been willing to do anything about.
The order did not list the groups by name, but said Cabinet secretaries would recommend groups for designation as terrorist organizations in the next 14 days.
I suspect we’re going to see the Sinaloa Cartel and frankly, all the Mexican cartels designated. Then they will start moving south and look at the Central and South American cartels as well.
“The Cartels have engaged in a campaign of violence and terror throughout the Western Hemisphere that has not only destabilized countries with significant importance for our national interests but also flooded the United States with deadly drugs, violent criminals, and vicious gangs,” the order read.

It was unclear what the impact could be for fighting the cartels, but there was concern it could be another way to make it more difficult for people from the countries where those groups operate to access the U.S.
That last sentence is a bit of editorializing by the writer of the AP post. There is no question on where this is going to lead. As the title of this post shows, all the Tier One operators like the U.S. Navy Seals, U.S. Army Special Forces, (AKA the Green Berets), and Special Operations Detachment-D, also known as Delta Force, are going to get to go play “Cowboys and Sicarios.”

Many have voiced concern the terrorist designation could provide the U.S. justification to take military action against cartels.
Whatever gave you that idea? Was it President Trump saying that he is going to use the military to secure the borders of the United States and shut down the smugglers?
Vanda Felbab-Brown, an organized crime expert for the Brookings Institution, said the order could have “huge implications from trade to migrants.”
Congratulations for stating the obvious.
Mike Vigil, a former head of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s foreign operations, said he expected any terrorism designation to have very little impact on day-to-day operations against cartels because many of the same anti-terrorism powers American authorities would be granted, they already employ in counter-narcotics efforts.
I haven’t been able to find out much about Mike Vigil, however he is completely wrong that President Trump’s order won’t have an impact. He’s still thinking of this as a law enforcement matter. President Trump is planning on turning this into a military matter. You don’t send in Tier One operators to arrest people. You send them in to eliminate them. The gloves, at least I hope, are coming off. Instead of warrants, the Cartels will be served with drones and Flying Ginzus.

He said logistically the order would likely allow the U.S. to seize assets of groups in the U.S., sanction U.S. citizens that do business with terrorist organizations and block members of those groups from entering the U.S.
We can already do this stupid.
“It’s not going to allow the U.S. to send troops into Mexico like so many people think simply because people forget that Mexico is a sovereign country and it would be an act of war,” he said.
I hate to tell you this you moron, but Mexico is controlled by the Cartels. They have invaded the United States. They have fired on the Border Patrol. Mexico is a failed state. Mexican “Law” enforcement is, for all intents and purposes, an arm of the cartels. Even the average Mexican is considering that American troops hunting down and destroying the Cartels might be a good thing.
Adrián LeBarón, whose daughter was killed in a 2019 massacre in northern Mexico, said he hoped it could raise visibility for victims of violence in Mexico, one of the most violent countries in the world that is not actively at war.
LeBarón, who has called the massacre a terrorist attack, said the designation could pressure authorities to bring justice to victims of violence.
“An investigation into terrorism is justice not only for us, but also for every town and corner of the country where a family has been destroyed and terror is sown in its wake,” he wrote on a post on the social media platform X.
I’m sorry Senor LeBaron, but it won’t do anything to get the Mexican government to go after the Cartels. They are owned by the cartels. The only answer now is going in and hunting down the Cartel leaders, their “Employees,” those who are aiding them and killing them. We also need to rip up their infrastructure and go after their money. If flat out bank robbery is needed to get their cash, then bring back Willy Sutton.
