Denmark may be figuring out that Trump is serious

Good day all. I’ve written about President Trump’s remarks regarding retaking control of the Panama Canal and buying Greenland from Denmark. At the time, I and a lot of other people agreed that taking back the Canal made sense but couldn’t understand why President Trump was so interested in Greenland.

Since this started, many people, including myself, have done a bit of research. Greenland is rich in Natural resources that Denmark and the EU won’t allow the residents to exploit. There is also some strategic reasons as well. Since then, President Trump has continued talking about Greenland and people have started asking what the people of Greenland might want.

Obviously, nothing will be done without the resident’s agreement. However, Denmark and the EU have demanded that President Trump forgo the use of military force to take Greenland. Trump has not taken this off the table, although it would be highly unlikely that he would send in the marines.

However, Denmark and the EU have gone bonkers. Denmark has flat out said this isn’t happening and there is talk of the EU deploying troops to Greenland to “Block the United States from occupying the area.” What has only been glossed over is that the people of Greenland have the right to vote for independence, severing their connection to Denmark.

There has been a lot of discussion everywhere about what is or may happen. Most of the Europeans think that President Trump is just doing his usual trolling and isn’t serious. That appears to have changed after a call between President Trump and Denmark’s Prime Minister, Mette Fredericksen. Here are the details from the New York Post:

President Trump had a “firm” phone conversation with Denmark’s prime minister last week to convey his serious intentions of acquiring Greenland, according to a report citing officials privy to the talk.

This would be right after President Trump was sworn in to his second term.

Trump has been aggressive in his desire to make Greenland a US territory to bolster national security in the Arctic region — and has even refused to rule out using “military force” to get it.

The first rule in acquisition is never rule anything out. Of course, that doesn’t mean that President Trump would actually invade Greenland. (Panama is another matter)

The Danish government, which has ownership of the largest island in the world, has said Greenland is not for sale and will not be a part of the US.

Trump’s conversation with Danish PM Mette Fredericksen, in which he stood unwavering behind his intentions, did not go well, European sources familiar with the discussion told the Financial Times.

It was horrendous,” a source said.

Reading all the quotes in the New York Post article, it looks like they’re basically in shock. It’s beginning to hit them that this isn’t the usual TransNational Deep State Uniparty president and certainly isn’t that senile moron Biden. They had a taste of what President Trump was capable of in his first term, and this time he’s coming loaded for bear. (Greenland polar bear perhaps?)

Another source said Trump “was very firm.

It was a cold shower. Before, it was hard to take it seriously. But I do think it is serious, and potentially, very dangerous,” the person said.

A third source told the outlet, “The intent was very clear.

[Trump officials] want it. The Danes are now in crisis mode.”

A fourth said, “The Danes are utterly freaked out by this.”

I am on a forum that has a number of Europeans on it. The section deal with politics, among other things, and the discussion about the United States acquiring Greenland has come up. Some of the Europeans on the forum are politically not far from Americans in their thinking. Others are typical Europeans. The latter are basically wigging out over the entire idea about the United States taking control of Greenland.

They are saying that the United States would be kicked out of NATO. However, they aren’t getting the responses they’re expecting from Americans. (A lot of Americans are fine with withdrawing from NATO and think it should have happened 20+ years ago when the USSR collapsed) They’ve also been saying that it could lead to a fight between the EU and the United States militarily. Again, the responses have not been what they’re expecting

As to the reason that the United States might want Greenland, as I mentioned earlier, natural resources are a major reason.

The president has said his interest in mineral-rich Greenland comes from needing “economic” and national security in the Arctic, as both Russia and China are gaining interests in the region.

President Trump has been clear that the safety and security of Greenland is important to the United States as China and Russia make significant investments throughout the [Arctic] region,” National Security Council rep Brian Hughes said in a statement to The Post.

The President is committed to not only protecting U.S. interests in the [Arctic] but also working with Greenland to ensure mutual prosperity for both nations.”

Prosperity for the people of Greenland is something that Denmark and the EU don’t appear to be interested in. There are trillions of dollars in recoverable minerals that the Eurotrash Greenies have basically forbidden Greenland from mining. There are about 50-80,000 people living on Greenland and their economy isn’t great.

Even with mining companies coming in with their own people, (The skill set isn’t there to hire Greenlanders), they will still be benefiting from new, good paying jobs and probably getting a “Piece of the action” from the exploitation of the minerals. Add to that all sorts of other things that could be spun up, and you could see an actual shortage of workers for great jobs. This is something that the people of Greenland are beginning to think about.

To become a part of the US, Greenlanders would first have to vote for independence from Denmark and then vote to become an American territory.

Going back to the people on the forum I’m on, there was something said about deploying EU troops to Greenland to prevent them from actually having that vote. I can’t say if this is accurate or not, but the Europeans on the forum are closer to that side of the discussions. Considering the borderline tyranny of the European Union, it wouldn’t surprise me one bit of they did try doing something that stupid.

Greenland’s leader, Múte Egede, said in a recent press conference that he will be open to having conversations about cooperation with the US but stressed that the islanders have no interest in becoming a part of America.

I’ve heard about polls that have said that the Prime Minister is accurate and that the reality is that majority of the Greenlanders do want to have some sort of status as part of America. Obviously, the first step would be for the voters on Greenland to tell the Danish government to go take a hike.

If Greenland did declare independence and then did apply for some sort of territorial association, similar to Puerto Rico, it would be fairly simple to set up. The form of their government would change to the style we use, Elected officials to set terms in office, a governor instead of a Prime Minister, and they would have to write a Constitution.

One thing they would have is American passports. Like Puerto Ricans, they could freely enter the United States, get jobs and be considered Americans. Even their language wouldn’t be that much of an issue. (Spanish is the main language in Puerto Rico but English is taught) Sadly, the population is to small for consideration for statehood, but they might not want that anyway. For the average person, it should be a win-win situation.

Denmark would also benefit if Greenland walked away, although nowhere near what they would get if they actually did a deal and sold Greenland to the United States. I understand that Denmark spend about a billion dollars a year on Denmark. That line item would be dropped from their budget. (Update. Denmark has announced that they are spending another $2 billion in response to President Trump’s eyeballing Greenland)

The problem of course is that the Eurotrash elites can’t conceive of the idea that Greenland might become U.S. territory. They are dead set on not letting any of their lower class serfs escape their “Benevolence.” We shall see what happens. In the meantime, I’ll just sit back and watch the Europeans realizing that America isn’t putting up with them any longer.
