Good day all. Each and every day we see progressive liberal Democrat heads going “POP!” They are also panicking over what Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency, (DOGE), is going to do to their systems of grift and graft.
The latest thing that is panicking the Deep State Uniparty is Elon Musk and DOGE now getting access to the Treasury Payment system. There is a lot to unwind here, and I will be jumping between sources, both on the right and the left. Here are some of the details from Newsmax:
The Department of Government Efficiency, run by President Donald Trump’s billionaire adviser and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, has gained access to sensitive Treasury data including Social Security and Medicare customer payment systems, according to two people familiar with the situation.
There is a lot that has been going on regarding this access. Originally, some petty, jumped up bureaucrat was blocking Musk and DOGE’s access. This person, David Lebryk, who had been working at the Treasury Dept, for 30 years, and had been the acting Treasury Secretary, was in a dispute with DOGE about the access.
When Scott Bessent was confirmed by the Senate as the new Secretary of the Treasury, he cleared the way for Musk and his team to start digging into things. Lebryk then announced his retirement. It looks like he had good reason to block Musk and DOGE. Musk and his team have only had access for about 48 hours and what they’ve found is really bad. Here are a few of those details from Fox News:
Tech billionaire Elon Musk ripped alleged “fraudulent” Treasury payments on Saturday as reports circulated that the Department of Government Efficiency has gained access to the federal government’s payment system as the second Trump administration continues cutting what they say is government fat and overspending.
“The @DOGE team discovered, among other things, that payment approval officers at Treasury were instructed always to approve payments, even to known fraudulent or terrorist groups. They literally never denied a payment in their entire career. Not even once,” Musk, the chair of DOGE, posted early Saturday morning to X.
The initial reports that DOGE now had access to the payment system first came out in the New York Slimes. As you would expect with anything put out by the Slimes, they aren’t getting the actual picture of what is happening.
The system could give the Trump administration another mechanism to attempt to unilaterally restrict disbursement of money approved for specific purposes by Congress, a push that has faced legal roadblocks.
I don’t think they understand what is going on here. President Trump and the Secretary of the Treasury already had full and complete access to the payment system. What Musk and his DOGE team are doing now is auditing the payments that have been made. This is what is setting off Elon Musk. It’s also why the Deep State Uniparty is in a blind panic and trying to shut this all down. Returning to the Newsmax story:
The highest-ranking Democrat on the Senate Finance Committee, Ron Wyden of Oregon, on Friday sent a letter to Trump’s Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent expressing concern that “officials associated with Musk may have intended to access these payment systems to illegally withhold payments to any number of programs.”
“To put it bluntly, these payment systems simply cannot fail, and any politically motivated meddling in them risks severe damage to our country and the economy,” Wyden said.
Wyden is, as usual, proving what a political hack he actually is. He likes to say things that do, on their face, make sense, but then he dives deep into the swamp. Musk and DOGE flat out do not have that authority, (Blocking payments), and never did. Their role is advisory, and that is what Elon Musk is doing. Advising President Trump and his administration, along with Congress, on what they’re finding. Nowhere do you see Musk saying “We’re stopping these payments.”
When Musk made his Tweet on TwitterX he was responding to another tweet by Robby Starbuck. (Is that an actual name or an alias. Here are some of those details from Newsweek:
Musk responded to Lebryk’s resignation on Saturday in a post on X, saying: “The DOGE team discovered, among other things, that payment approval officers at Treasury were instructed always to approve payments, even to known fraudulent or terrorist groups. They literally never denied a payment in their entire career. Not even once.”
He, (Musk), had written this while sharing a post made by conservative filmmaker Robby Starbuck, who said: “The highest ranking Treasury official, David A Lebryk, is resigning rather than complying with a request by DOGE for access to audit where they’ve spent trillions of dollars a year. Why would career bureaucrats fear an audit by Elon Musk and DOGE to see where we can save money?”
That is the question now isn’t it?? I have seen some comments that when a full blown audit is completed, and with the processing power Musk can bring to this task, it probably won’t take that long, there may be actual crimes that have been committed and that these crimes may have been going on for years or even decades. If that is found to be the case, and this is all speculation, wishful thinking and conspiracy theories on my part, we could be seeing people in Congress being indicted.
It’s only been two weeks since the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald J. Trump, was sworn in to office and the amount of changes already underway is blinding the Democrats and not a few UniParty RINO’s. Where will we be in 6 months or even a year from now?
