Good day all. The terror of liberal Democrat Bureaucrats is a visit from the Department of Government Efficiency. For the last few weeks, Musk’s team of weaponized autistics have been going after all the DEI crap that many of the Washington bureaucracies have tried to keep going despite President Trump’s orders.
Now that DOGE has ripped the guts out of USAID, showing that it was just a slush fund for Progressives Liberals Democrats and various NGO’s, they are eyeing bigger targets. Here are the details from Newsmax:
President Donald Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency reportedly now appears to be focusing on some of the government’s largest initiatives after starting by identifying relatively small-dollar programs.
That was USAID, which is now in the process of being reduced pending full closure.
Tasked by Trump to find ways to streamline the bureaucracy and reduce spending, DOGE has identified and cut more than $1 billion in spending in the first three weeks of the second Trump administration, The Wall Street Journal reported Saturday night.
More than half of the savings DOGE says it has found is related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
DEI is yet another racist scam pushed by the Progressive Liberal Democrats and they have wasted billions on it. Thanks to President Trump’s Executive Order banning it, that incredibly destructive philosophy is officially over in the Federal Government. Sadly, many of the Deep State bureaucracies have moved to hide their DEI proponents and policies. This is one of the things that DOGE has been sniffing out.
So far, DOGE’s technology team has focused on “low-hanging fruit” at multiple agencies, the Journal said.
“Great coordination across 35 agencies over the last two days to terminate 199 wasteful contracts saving ~$250mm, including: -Contract for ‘Asia Pacific – Sri Lanka climate change mitigation adaption and resilience coordinator services for forest service’ -Workshop for ‘Intercultural communication diversity dialogue circle communicating across differences,'” DOGE posted Friday night on X.
With Elon Musk’s goal of finding $2 trillion in spending cuts, DOGE could uncover larger savings at some of the government’s biggest programs, especially those focused on healthcare.
This one really scares the Deep State. Their goal has always been a socialist single payer system. They have managed to tie up trillions of dollars with no real accounting. For people forced into the government healthcare systems such as the VA, it can be a nightmare, potentially a fatal one for the average person.
When Musk and his DOGE team start digging into the Government healthcare payment system, I expect they will find huge savings that will also mean far better results for the American people. I also expect Big Pharma to get smacked up the side of the head once Musk and his people start digging into that mess.
DOGE also is working with the General Services Administration, which manages government buildings and commercial real estate, to identify leases that can be canceled or let lapse, the Journal reported.
There is another pile of waste. The GSA manages all of the buildings in use by the Federal Government. Some are owned outright, others leased. For the last few years, with most of the bureaucrats working, allegedly, from home, these offices have been basically empty. Even with the bureaucrats being forced to return to the office, there is millions of square feet of office space that sits empty. I don’t think anyone actually knows how much real estate the government owns or is leasing. (They soon will)
DOGE has run into opposition. One federal judge issued a temporary restraining order on Friday, pausing Trump’s gutting of the U.S. Agency for International Development, which the president said is rife with fraud, waste, and corruption.
Another federal judge issued an emergency order early Saturday blocking DOGE from accessing personal and financial data for millions of Americans stored at the Treasury Department.
Both of these orders are flat out illegal and violate the separation of powers. The judges, one Trump and the other an Obama judge may not understand what is going on. (Actually, the Obama judge is one who needs to be removed from the bench. I need to review the trump judge’s stupidity)
The National Institutes of Health announced Friday that it is cutting billions of dollars in funding immediately for the “indirect” costs related to research, including for facilities and academic requirements.
I’m sure that the Deep State Media is going to bemoan this, claiming that “People will DIE!!” The problem with this claim is that the NIH was sending money to a Chinese bioweapons lab and the Coronavirus was the result. However, Fauci’s replacement is the one who President Trump selected and he’s been looking into all the fraud that was going on. I have little doubt that he can’t wait for Elon and Doge to come barking at his door.
With the Congressional Budget Office showing the federal government projected to spend $7 trillion in the fiscal year that ends Sept. 30, there’s likely other areas for DOGE to probe.
That’s money the United States doesn’t have. I would be surprised if DOGE isn’t already digging into that budget to see what congresscritter is wasting money on what useless project.
Social Security payments account for roughly $1.6 trillion. Medicare is projected to cost $910 billion, with another $812 billion going toward Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program, and healthcare marketplace subsidies
The question here is, “How much of that money is actually going where it’s supposed to be going and not into some political hack or NGO’s personal bank account? There is also the question of how much fraud and outright theft is going on as well.
More than $850 billion is targeted for military spending, with another $950 billion in net interest payments on the debt. Education, housing, transportation and other programs combine for $1 trillion.
The Defense Department has yet to pass an audit. Without question there is massive waste there. Weapons and equipment procurement is one potential area that major savings could be realized. Unfortunately, a lot of what Musk’s team finds will require congressional action to fix, especially since Congress created the problems in the first place.
As for the Department of Education? President Trump is already looking to severely restrict their spending and is looking at a complete shutdown in the future. (That will also require legislation) Housing is another area rife with problems. Transportation is a disaster, thanks to the former Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttplug.
DOGE and Musk are terrifying the Deep State and the Democrats. They are seeing the decades of hiding money and processes so that no one could find them being dragged screaming into the light. It’s only been a few weeks and right now and the rot found so far is massive. The next step, besides looking into all of the other departments and agencies, is real criminal investigations.
There is a reason for all the screaming and panic by the Democrats. They’re afraid that DOGE is going to follow the money right into some senator or representatives Cayman Islands bank account. Then Pam Bondi and Kash Patel will show up with nice bracelets and orange jumpsuits.
