Good day all. The hits against the Deep State keep on coming. With the confirmation of Kash Patel as the next Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, people wondered what was going to happen next. Well, we now know.
It has been announced that former Secret Service Agent and online media mogul Dan Bongino has been tapped to to be the next deputy director of the FBI. Here are the details from Real Clear Politics:
President Trump has tapped Dan Bongino, a hard-charging Trump supporter and one of America’s most popular and prolific conservative commentators, to serve as deputy director of the FBI.
A top podcaster, former Fox News host, New York City Police Department officer, and 12-year veteran of the Secret Service, Bongino is a close friend of FBI Director Kash Patel and will now serve as his right-hand man at the FBI, Trump announced on Truth Social Sunday.
One thing that is going to throw sheer terror into the FBI Agents who have happily turned the FBI into the American Gestapo is that Dan Bongino has experience of being in the field and has a lot of contacts with people who know who needs to be shown the door and who needs to be indicted.
Trump’s choice of Bongino to join Patel at the FBI as its deputy came just three days after the Senate confirmed Patel’s nomination, 49 to 51, with Sens. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine the only two Republicans to vote against him. The appointment is the latest sign that Trump is committed to aggressively cleaning house at the FBI.
Murkowski and Collins have been long known as the “RINO Sisters.” They will vote with the Democrats far more often then they do with the Democrats. The only reason Murkowski is in the senate is Cocaine Mitch McConnell actively interfering in the Alaska Election. Brain Freeze McConnell knew that the GOP favorite was not going to support his continued leadership role.
While Patel has experience as a lawyer and high-ranking official in federal intelligence agencies during Trump’s first term, Bongino has practical law enforcement experience as a former police officer and Secret Service agent. Both have excoriated the FBI over its role in facilitating the investigations Trump has faced since 2017, including submitting faulty foreign intelligence court applications in the Trump-Russia investigation.
Submitting faulty intelligence? How about flat out lying to Congress? They knew that the Russia dossier was a load of horseshit paid for by Felonia von Pantsuit from day one.
In Bongino, Patel will have a deputy who is also devoted to ending the politicization of the FBI and helping thoroughly investigate and provide far more public transparency on the would-be assassins who came close to killing Trump in the final months of the campaign.
There are still a lot of question regarding that loser who fired on President Trump and by the grace of God, only nicked an ear. If I recall correctly, they are claiming that the crime is “Still under investigation.” The shooter had his head blown off and is very very dead. What ongoing investigation is there? The second loser was taken alive and has yet to stand trial. That one I can accept keeping things under wraps to protect the prosecution and the defendants right to a fair trial.
Bongino detailed the FBI’s doctored surveillance requests and improper spying on a Trump campaign adviser in 2016 in his book, “Spygate,” one of four volumes he wrote on similar themes decrying the “deep state” plotters against Trump. On his podcasts and radio shows, Bongino engages in cultural combat in a bombastic style similar to Trump’s, repeatedly going after top FBI and CIA officials, including former CIA Director John Brennan, for what he characterized as their efforts to sabotage Trump’s first term and rig both the 2016 and 2020 elections against him.
Honestly, I have not read Dan Bongino’s books. I also don’t listen to his podcast all that often. I do spend a lot of time on the Bongino Report web site since he created it to replace the Drudge Report after Drudge either sold it and retired or went insane. (I prefer that he sold out)
Bongino’s exit from the podcast space will leave a big void in the conservative media commentary world.
Bongino’s decision to accept the high-profile FBI post will force him to divest from his conservative media empire and leave his viewers, what he refers to as “Bongino Army,” without a go-to general. The conservative media personality stands to lose tens of millions of dollars by leaving his show even for one year.
Like President Trump, Dan Bongino is going to take a major hit to his personal fortune in accepting this post. I don’t know if he will have to divest or sell off his business. I suspect he’s going to put it into some sort of revocable blind trust and put some very good people in place to take care of things. Mr. Bongino isn’t going to be the deputy director forever.
When President Trump crushed Kamala Harris, Dan Bongino was being named by people to be the one to take over and clean up the Secret Service. He certainly has the institutional knowledge to correct the mess that the Secret Service has become over the last few years. However, President Trump chose one of the agents who moved to protect him in Pennsylvania as the new Director. (He looks as good as Bongino)
Bongino has since criticized Trump’s decision to tap Curran for the role even though he said he considers Curran a friend and “a good and decent and kind human being with a ton of character and a lot of dignity, and a patriot who loves this country.” On his podcast in mid-January, Bongino said he was disappointed because he wants to ensure that Trump is protected and believes the Secret Service is “grotesquely unprepared to keep Trump alive.”
We now know why. It’s beginning to look like the Biden Maladministration deliberately weakened President Trump’s detail to let some whackjob to get close enough to murder the Greatest President of the 21st Century. Mr. Curren was one of his “Regular” members of his detail.
I think that as Deputy Director, he’s going to be able to work closely with Director Curren. They are on the same page. I suspect that while Director Curren concentrates and rebuilding the Secret Service to the tier one protective service it once was, Dan Bongino will make sure the investigations into things like who was responsible for the weakening of the security detail fro President Trump. Of course, people will and have been calling that, the deliberate weakening of the detail, is a conspiracy theory.
Congratulations to Dan Bongino. We’re counting on you, Kash Patel and Pam Bondi to clean out the Deep State Aegean Stables that is the Department of Justice and the various Federal Law Enforcement Agencies.
