Good day all. The Blue States have been trying to protect illegal aliens from ICE since President Trump turned Tom Homan loose. They have a problem in that a large majority of Americans are cheering Tom Homan and ICE on.
There is also the little problem that the Trump administration isn’t going to play games and are flat out looking for a reason to arrest anyone actively aiding and abetting illegal aliens. Originally a number of Govnos and mayors were saying that they were ready to go to jail to protect “Migrants.” Then someone told them that was what was actually going to happen and for 5+ years. The leftard loudmouths pulled back a bit.

However, it doesn’t look like the “Professional Educators” have gotten the message yet. There has been one incident where a school refused admittance to federal agents. The problem was, it wasn’t ICE, it was the Secret Service and there were there for other reasons. Now a school district has decided to double down on stupid.
Colorado’s largest public school district is the first in America to sue the Trump administration over fears of ICE raids taking place on school grounds.
I think it was a Colorado school that denied entry to the Secret Service agents, but I’m not certain.
Denver Public Schools filed a federal lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem for its decision to remove a policy designating schools – and other areas, like churches – as sensitive locations, therefore restricting immigration enforcement.
That policy was put in place by Obama. The policy is of questionable legality, much like everything Obama did, but there was no legislation passed by congress. Basically it was an executive order. This order has been revoked. It will be interesting to see if they find a friendly Obama Judge who will announce that President Trump has no authority to overturn a police created by the “Sainted” Obama.
The school system argues that rescinding the policy has caused schools to devote time and resources to teaching students and staff how to remain safe from immigration enforcement.
Oh wow! A whole 5 minutes that goes, “If ICE shows up, do not try to interfere otherwise you may be prosecuted.”
“DPS is hindered in fulfilling its mission of providing education and life services to the students who are refraining from attending DPS schools for fear of immigration enforcement actions occurring on DPS school grounds,” the lawsuit states, according to The Associated Press.
The school system also argued that attendance has significantly declined since the decision.
I guess that means a lot of students who aren’t in the United States legally are staying home with their illegal alien parents. Or, the families have self deported to avoid being permanently banned from ever returning to the United States.
Of course, there is another issue with the “Significant Decline” in attendance. Money. These school districts are paid by the student and if the number of students is to low, then that means you need to cut teachers, administrators and potentially close some schools. That is a nightmare to the “Ever so caring” Educational Elites, not to mention the Teachers Unions.
Adhering to his campaign promise to deport illegal aliens by the masses, President Donald Trump lifted the ICE-restricting policy shortly after taking office last month.

Since Jan. 20, ICE has arrested and deported thousands of people in the U.S. illegally – most of them being criminals with convictions in the U.S. or their home countries. Trump’s Border Czar Tom Homan has been leading the charge and has stated repeatedly that ICE is going after “the worst, first.”
ICE isn’t even looking at the schools right now and frankly, those are really low on the list of priorities. Far higher is locating the hundreds of thousands of children that the Biden Maladministration sold misplaced. To date, ICE has found over 80,000 of these children, and I gather very few of them were with actual family members.
The goal of the lawsuit is for the Trump administration to hopefully reinstate the policy banning immigration enforcement activities from taking place at schools, though no ICE raids have taken place on school grounds.
Yeah, that’s not happening and the courts do not have the authority to compel the administrative branch to put it back into place.
Denver Public Schools has trained staff on how to handle ICE officers if they show up at school, telling them to deny agents entry if they don’t have a warrant signed by a judge.
I don’t know the laws in question, however I don’t believe they need an actual warrant. The ICE agents are in what amounts to Hot Pursuit. I do think that if the schools do block ICE from entering, and this is something ICE isn’t even planning on right now, the will simply surround the school and wait them out. Only children will be allowed to leave with their parents or legal guardians. The next thing to happen, if they catch some illegals, is to start arrests of the school administrators and teachers for violating 8 U.S. Code § 1325.
“Parents across Denver enroll their children in public schools believing that while at school, their children will be educated and enriched without fear the government will enforce immigration laws on those premises,” the lawsuit said, via The AP.

The lawsuit also stated that there were more than 90,000 students in the Denver Public Schools system during the 2023-2024 school year, and approximately 4,000 were immigrants.
4000 immigrant children? I’m going to assume that these children are in the country, along with their parents, legally. If they are, they have nothing to worry about from ICE. If you are actively protecting illegal aliens, then you are also stealing taxpayer money and aiding and abetting a crime.
Denver has seen a massive population jump in recent years as the city predicts nearly 43,000 people have arrived in the area from the southern border, the lawsuit said.
I suspect a lot of those people aren’t in the country legally too. In fact, it’s a safe bet that a fair percentage of them are dangerous criminals such as the gang that has been taking over apartment complexes, something Colorado’s Govno has denied even in the face of video evidence.

I suspect that this suit is going nowhere fast. It will be interesting to see if ICE eventually does hit the schools and does find illegal aliens. Then the real fun begins as the DoJ starts bringing indictments. Stay tuned!
