Good day all. It’s no secret that Massachusetts is a state run by hard left progressive liberal Democrats. Boston is only slightly less full of Leftards than Cambridge. The current mayor of Boston is Michelle Wu. You may recall I wrote a post regarding Wu’s comments to Border Czar that she would protect illegal aliens.
Not to be outdone in her blinding stupidity, Wu has decided that she should offer her condolences to the family of criminal who was shot by an off-duty police officer when he tried to stab a couple of people. Here are the details from Fox News:
Boston Mayor Michelle Wu raised eyebrows over the weekend after she expressed condolences to the family of a knife-wielding suspect who was shot and killed by an off-duty officer after he allegedly tried to stab two people on Saturday night.

The suspect, whose identity was not released by police, brandished a knife near a Chick-fil-A on Boylston Street, a busy part of the Massachusetts capital. He was fatally shot by an off-duty police officer who saw him targeting the two victims, police said.
Nice work there officer. Now the sad part about this is that Massachusetts is a state that is working to abolish the 2nd Amendment. (And pretty much the entire constitution for that matter) Because of this, the odds of a citizen having the tools available to stop a rampaging lunatic are very low.
During a Saturday night press conference, Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox said that the officer identified himself to the suspect and asked him to drop his weapon.
“The individual was trying to stab the two individuals in the store, and the off-duty officer identified himself as a police officer, instructing them to drop the weapon, at which point the individual did not comply,” Cox explained. “The officer discharged his weapon to stop the threat, and the individual was struck. The armed individual was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.”

This is a very tough thing to have to deal with. The officer had no choice and I’m assuming that this will be shown as a justified shooting. The problem isn’t with the police, it’s with that leftard moonbat mayor Boston is saddled with.
After Cox and Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden both expressed some sadness over the loss of life during the incident, Wu notably did not express sympathy for the two people who were nearly stabbed by the suspect, just those “impacted” by the incident, which happened in “one of the busier parts” of Beantown.
“My condolences, and all of our thoughts, are with the family of the individual whose life has been lost,” Wu said. “And I’m also thinking of all the people who were impacted here today in one of the busier parts of the city with this tragedy.”
Wu’s remarks were called out by critics across the country on social media shortly after she spoke. Journalist Jonathan Choe wrote that “[i]t’s all upside down in Boston.”
“When is the last time you heard of a mayor apologizing to the family of a knife wielding attacker who allegedly tried to kill multiple people?” Choe questioned. “What about the people who were nearly killed?”
What about them? In what passes for the minds of Leftards, they aren’t important. The only thing that would have made her sadder is if the dead criminal was also an illegal alien. Then she probably would have started a GoFundMe account to raise money for a memorial or something. (Yes, she is that stupid)
The incident came as Boston officials, including Wu and Cox, have attracted criticism from conservatives for implementing sanctuary city policies. Catherine Vitale, a former city council candidate, told “Fox and Friends” last week that she believes Wu “doesn’t care” about crime in Boston.
As long as it doesn’t affect her personally, she doesn’t.
“There’s tons of crime almost every single day. There’s a shooting. We don’t always hear about them, but we hear them because we’re there. I don’t think that most of the crime actually even gets reported on. People don’t get arrested. Charges don’t get pressed on people who are looting stores,” Vitale said.
Part of that would also be on the Suffolk County District Attorney. The previous one was a barking moonbat and the current one, Kevin Hayden appears to also have some serious issues with actually dealing with real criminals.
Recently, Wu was hauled up in front of a Congressional Committee along with the mayors of NYC, Chicago and Denver. Representative Anna Paulina Luna, after questioning these four, has sent a recommendation to the DoJ to have them prosecuted. (I haven’t followed this story, however Mayor Adams has flipped the script and is actively aiding ICE. This was one for the reasons for Garland to have him indicted. He had stopped following orders)
The DoJ is under no obligation to actually prosecute these mayors, but Michelle Wu needs to be removed from office as Mayor. It isn’t that she’s corrupt, (She is, but not in the money/greed sense as near as I can determine), but is utterly incompetent and absolutely unfit to hold any position of authority. The question is, will the voters of Boston do the right thing and remove her? Wu was elected in 2021 and I believe the next election is this November. Hopefully she will be removed in the primary and in the General the Democrats are, for once, shown the door.
