Good day all. If you think you hate the Progressive Liberal Democrats, you don’t hate them enough. Recently, a bill is starting to wind it’s way through the Kalifornistan legislature that if passed and signed into law, will basically make defending yourself against criminals illegal.
Most of the country allows people to use lethal force to protect themselves and others under certain circumstances. A number, including New Hampshire have what are known as “Stand your ground” laws. These laws basically say that if you are someplace where you have the legal right to be, you do not have to withdraw if threatened. Finally there is what is known as the “Castle” laws. These laws allow you to defend your home from criminals illegally entering them.
This wasn’t always the case. There used to be laws in many states that required people to flee there homes or otherwise run away if they are threatened by criminals or if their home was invaded. Most of the states with these old “Duty to retreat” laws repealed them as the crime rates increased and people started demanding that they be allowed to protect themselves.
As states, primarily those managed by the Republicans, began removing all these archaic, and in many instances, flat out unconstitutional laws and letting people, when required, to use lethal force, a funny thing happened. The crime rates in those states plummeted. However, states mismanaged by the Progressive Liberal Democrats have been slow to restore the rights of self defense to the citizens and generally have done so only after being raked over the coals by the courts.
Then we have the People’s Democratic Republic of Kalifornistan. Thanks to the levels of stupidity, incompetence and corruption by the Progressive Liberal Democrat Ruling Elites, the crime rates are skyrocketing. Because of this, people have been forced to use lethal force to defend themselves, their families, their neighbors and on rare occasions, police officers.
Since the natural constituency of the Democrats is not the actual taxpaying citizens, but the criminals who want to rob, rape and murder them, they have decided that people daring to blow away a criminal to protect themselves must be jailed. There is now a bill to force people being threatened by criminals to retreat. Here are the details from the Populist Times:
A California Democrat has introduced a law that would criminalize self-defense during a home invasion by armed criminals. California has more than enough antigun laws that make it almost impossible for law-abiding citizens to defend themselves while doing nothing to stop criminals who do not respect a piece of paper.
California Assemblyman Rich Chavez Zbur introduced Assembly Bill 1333 to limit a homeowner’s ability to use force during a home invasion, putting them at a disadvantage in the hands of criminals.
I looked up this clown and found an entry on Wikipedia. Granted it is Wikipedia, however it does give a basic overview on this person. It’s about what you would expect.
“This bill would eliminate certain circumstances under which homicide is justifiable, including, among others, in defense of a habitation or property. The bill would additionally clarify circumstances in which homicide is not justifiable, including, among others, when a person uses more force than necessary to defend against a danger,” reads the bill.
Basically, it declares open season on decent people. Washington Gun Law, which is a channel run by a Washington State lawyer dealing primarily with 2nd Amendment cases, posted a video on this stupidity. I’ll let him explain it.
Now that you understand this from a legal point of view, this is what the author of this nightmare is claiming.
Zbur claims that the bill does not limit homeowners’ ability to defend themselves but aims to prevent “wannabe vigilantes like Kyle Rittenhouse from provoking violence and claiming self-defense” – and he’s lying.
This guy is both lying through his teeth about his bill and what happened with regards to Kyle Rittenhouse. Kyle was not out looking to be a vigilante. In fact, he was trying to get away from a mob bent on killing him. Despite the political trial, he was acquitted. One of the reasons was that this was the best documented case of self defense ever. Kyle’s entire day along with the actual event was caught on camera. It sounds like Zbur was sorry that Kyle Rittenhouse wasn’t killed by the criminals chasing him. (And they were actual felons)
In 2021, Rittenhouse was acquitted of all charges on self-defense grounds after he shot and killed two Black Lives Matter rioters and injured another. The criminals had attacked Rittenhouse while he was fleeing and tried to take his firearm and use it on him. Back then, former President Joe Biden featured the Kenosha teen in a video calling him a “white supremacist” while other Democrats refused to accept the verdict. Rittenhouse has promised to travel to California to testify against the bill.
Biden probably didn’t know who Kyle Rittenhouse was and was simply parroting back the lines he was given by his handlers. As I mentioned above, Zbur is probably angry that Kyle Rittenhouse survived and that two of the three slugs who cornered him were killed instead. Now he wants to make sure this never happens again in Kalifornistan.
Meanwhile, Zbur implies that homeowners must comply when being robbed at their homes, essentially banning self-defense. He also suggests that criminals bear no responsibility for creating a dangerous situation for themselves and others when they invade someone’s home. Subsequently, the bill was poorly received by Republicans and other commonsense Californians.
There are some left in the state? I thought everyone of them had left some time ago.
“Have you read your own bill? It limits victims’ right to defend themselves. That’s all it does,” tweeted civil rights attorney Laura Powell.
GOP Assemblyman David Tangipa also questioned the bill for suggesting that homeowners must use the right amount of force to confront home invaders. Criminals do not forewarn homeowners about their plans to invade or the type of weapons they would bring so that homeowners can select the right response.
“How do you know if a robber or burglar is intending to kill?” Republican Assemblyman David Tangipa asked on Ray Appleton’s show.
These days, a lot of criminals are committing home invasions and yes, they are armed. They didn’t bother with all the Kalifornistan anti-gun laws either. When you have someone breaking into your house, armed or not, the correct assumption is that they are going to kill you and the correct response is to put as many rounds into them as needed to stop them from doing so.
While the bill has undergone some amendments, it still obligates the homeowners to exhaust “every reasonable means to escape such danger other than the use of force likely to cause death or great bodily injury.”
Evidently, AB 1333 bans self-defense for fear of causing serious bodily harm to the criminal and risking serious prison time, or losing thousands of dollars defending oneself in court without the possibility of recuperating those costs after exoneration.
If this thing passes and that idiot Newsom signs it into law, watch the crime rate explode. I would also expect that people will continue to defend themselves. The problem will be when the police, who I doubt support this load of crap, or some Soros DA, who probably does, moves against these people.
There is a very good chance that the police might just end up facing a number of armed citizens telling them to leave. As for the DA’s? Considering how bad these DA’s have been, I’m surprised one or more hasn’t already been killed by a person who figures they have nothing to lose. Fortunately, the voters can and have been removing these pro-crime DA’s. Now it’s time to go after that worthless pile of liberal horse shit, Rick Chavez, (Chavez?), Zbur. I think a nice recall is in order.
