Democrat Money Laundering group, ActBlue, imploding

Good day all. For about 20 years, there has been an organization called ActBlue that has been fundraising for the Democrat party. For almost as long, there have been questions and concerns regarding how they actually received these donations.

American election laws are very specific with regards to organizations raising money fro political campaigns. I’m not going to delve into the arcane details of these laws. I’m not in any way an expert and I don’t need to write a bazillion words on it. The short version is that people are limited in direct contributions to a candidate. (I find that constitutionally questionable, but that’s another post)

Political Action committees can raise huge amounts of money, but are also limited in how much they can donate to individual campaigns. There are certain legal work arounds though. However, it looks like ActBlue may not of bothered with the legal methods. Recently, Congress has started looking at their fundraising techniques and what they’ve been finding doesn’t look good, especially for the Democrat Party. Now it looks like the Rats are deserting the ship. Here are the details from the Tennessee Star:

Major Democratic fundraising platform ActBlue is facing serious turmoil with at least seven senior officials resigning last month and one lawyer implying that he “faced internal retaliation,” according to the New York Times.

The nonprofit, which has funneled hundreds of millions of dollars to all levels of Democratic campaigns over the years, is now facing internal havoc. Given ActBlue’s major influence in processing election donations, the group’s current instability could also greatly affect the Democrat party.

From what I’ve read on other sites, ActBlue has “Raised” billions of dollars for the Democrat Party. There have been a number of accusations that ActBlue has been flat out breaking the law and probably acting as a money laundering platform for the Democrat Party. The Attorney General of Texas, Ken Paxton sent the Federal Election Commission a petition regarding ActBlue’s activities. According to the AG’s office:

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sent a Petition for Rulemaking to the Federal Election Commission (“FEC”) detailing how suspicious actors appear to be using ActBlue’s political fundraising platform to make a large number of straw political donations.

Now a straw donor is a person who illegally uses another person’s money to make a political contribution in their own name. (Wikipedia)

In December 2023, Attorney General Paxton opened an investigation into ActBlue to determine whether the platform’s operations were compliant with all applicable laws.

SPOILER!! They’re not.

In August 2024, Attorney General Paxton announced that due to the investigation, ActBlue began requiring donors using credit cards to provide “CVV” codes, a common security measure. But this is not a full solution to the problems that Attorney General Paxton’s team has identified on ActBlue. Namely, it appears that straw donations are systematically being made using false identities, through untraceable payment methods.

In October of 2024, AG Paxton sent his findings to the Federal Election Commission with recommendations to close a number of loop holes. He also, basically and in a polite manner, told the FEC to pull their heads out of their butts and do their jobs.

“Our investigation into ActBlue has uncovered facts indicating that bad actors can illegally interfere in American elections by disguising political donations. It is imperative that the FEC close off the avenues we have identified by which foreign contributions or contributions in excess of legal limits could be unlawfully funneled to political campaigns, bypassing campaign finance regulations and compromising our electoral system,” said Attorney General Paxton. “I am calling on the FEC to immediately begin rulemaking to secure our elections from any criminal actors exploiting these vulnerabilities.”

Now this was while the Biden Maladministration was still in office, and they still thought there was a chance that Kackling Kamala Harris would somehow win the election. If that had happened, the whole ActBlue investigation would have been circular filed. However, President Trump won and in a landslide. He has put his people into place and they are starting to dig into all the little games the Deep State and the Democrats have been doing. This may be why all the senior people suddenly resigned. They are probably lawyering up, or preparing to flee to a non-extradition country. Returning to the Tennessee Start article:

Two unions representing ActBlue’s employees sent a letter to the platform’s board of directors, according to the Times. The letter cited by the outlet described the flurry of resignations since Feb. 21 as an “alarming pattern” that is “eroding our confidence in the stability of the organization.” The newspaper also stated that the reason for this exodus is unclear.

I think I just mentioned the reasons. These people see the writing on the wall and know the jig is up. ActBlue has been acting as a tool for the Democrats to launder money and now their “Protection” has just been sent packing. They’re now trying to figure out how to avoid prison.

The letter noted that ActBlue’s customer service and partnerships directors left, both of which worked at the nonprofit for over ten years. Several other senior officials, including the highest-ranking legal officer at ActBlue, left a week after these initial veteran employees bowed out, according to the NYT. The assistant research director, an HR official, the chief revenue officer and an engineer resigned shortly after.

If what we’ve been hearing about ActBlue is accurate, pretty much every one of these people is probably looking at multiple felony charges.

Departures of legal experts in particular was cited as a major concern. “Those of us who work with our legal team in our day-to-day do not have clear direction on how to proceed with our work in their absence,” the unions wrote to the ActBlue board in the letter obtained by NYT.

There is so much running through my head reading that paragraph, that I literally don’t know where to start. When the senior legal officer suddenly bolts that could mean that he is scared and trying to figure out who he can roll over on to save his own ass.

Usually when someone like that leaves an organization, it’s usually a lengthy affair. There is a lot of things that need to be handed over, either to the replacement or whoever will be filling in until a new replacement is brought on board. When a senior legal officer suddenly leaves, it usually means the Feds are going to be paying that organization a visit.

Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares sent a letter to the nonprofit in August 2024, pointing to hundreds of thousands of dollars in contributions to ActBlue coming from donors in Virginia “in volumes that are facially implausible and appear suspicious,” according to the letter.

GOP lawmakers then called to investigate the organization over “potential criminal activity” back in September, Republican Wisconsin Rep. Bryan Steil calling on five states to probe the platform’s donations.

There are several more states that are now getting very serious about digging into ActBlue. Interestingly, none of them are controlled by the Democrats. I wonder why that might be? I suspect the reason is simple. They all got money from ActBlue. It isn’t in their interests to actually do their jobs and find out if the money they were given is dirty or not. (Here’s a hint. It is) As for the staff that is running for the hills stepping down?

Now, my primary mission is rest,” Alyssa Twomey, ActBlue’s vice president for customer service, announced on LinkedIn last week. “After 14+ years of living and breathing all things ActBlue, it’s time for a reset. I’m taking an intentional pause before setting course for my next adventure.”

I wonder, will that “Next adventure” involve something that begins with, “You have the right to remain silent.”

Thank you for all that you did to make ActBlue the critical infrastructure under our movement,” one commenter wrote in response to Twomey. “I’ve said many times that ActBlue is the single finest customer service organization on the planet.”

I suspect that ActBlue is probably going to shut down by the end of the year. The organization is about to go under a real microscope. I guess the only question will be, how long until the search warrants are served and all their documents and electronics are taken by the new and improved FBI? Stay tuned boys and girls. This could be the biggest scandal in decades with the potential to destroy the Democrat party.
