Good day all. The Trump administration has been working to remove the criminal aliens the Biden Maladministration allowed into the country. As we’ve seen, the Democrats have chosen who is really important to them and it isn’t Americans or the United States.
Right now we are on the cusp of an actual Constitutional Crises thanks to the Obama and Biden judges ignoring Article II of the Constitution and working to protect literal invaders from being booted out of the United States. Then we have this idiot judge in New Mexico. He was just caught harboring an illegal alien who appears to be a member of the criminal gang and Venezuela militia group Tren de Aragua. Here are the details from Fox News:
A New Mexico judge resigned from the bench after an alleged Tren de Aragua gang member was arrested at his home.
Doña Ana County Magistrate Judge Joel Cano’s resignation letter is dated March 3, but a spokesman for the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) told Fox News Digital it was not received by the Supreme Court and 3rd Judicial District Court until March 31.
What did he do, send it to them by literal snail mail using real snails?
Back in January, Homeland Security Investigations Las Cruces began looking into Venezuelan native Cristhian Ortega-Lopez, “an illegal alien from Venezuela and a suspected member of a criminal gang” who was “residing with other illegal aliens” and “in possession of firearms,” according to court documents obtained by Fox News Digital.
Ok, this guy was living with other illegal aliens, had guns and was part of TdA? Yep, exactly the sort of people the Democrats and their pet judges support.
On Feb. 28, two search warrants were executed at a home investigators identified as owned by Cano’s wife, Nancy Cano. Ortega-Lopez and his roommates were taken into custody, and agents “seized four firearms from April Cano’s residence.” April Cano is the daughter of Nancy and Joel, court documents state.
Ortega-Lopez was found by investigators posing with weapons in social media posts, some of which he said were owned by April Cano, who “allowed him to hold and sometimes shoot various firearms.”
I was going to ask why they went after April Cano, but now it makes sense. She owned the guns that the criminals were using. Now one possible caveat is that she didn’t know they were illegals and thought they were in the country lawfully. Lawful visitors and resident aliens can use firearms under certain circumstances. Illegals? Nope.
Ortega-Lopez admitted to illegally entering the U.S. from Mexico in December 2023, according to court documents. He allegedly told investigators he was living in an El Paso apartment with five others when he met Nancy Cano “to install a glass door for her.”
So, was he working for a construction company of some sort or was he acting as an “Independent Contractor” that Nancy Cano found at the local Home Depot? If so, did she check to see if he had a green card or other paperwork that allowed him lets him work in the United States?
“He continued to do a few jobs for Nancy Cano, and after being evicted from the apartment in April, 2024, Nancy Cano offered her ‘casita’ in the back of the residence she shared with her husband Joel Cano,” court documents state.
Yeah, I’m now fairly certain that these clowns knew exactly who they were hanging around with and that he wasn’t legally in the United States. Now that ICE came in with a couple of warrants indicates that things might be going from bad to worse for the judge and family. This is classic violation of 8 U.S. Code § 1327 – Aiding or assisting certain aliens to enter statute.
If the Trump administration is looking for an example to be made of a Democrat, this is it. These people knew that they were harboring illegal aliens. Worse, they armed them, if only temporarily. I have a sneaking suspicion that now former Judge Cano understands that he is in big trouble and may have resigned to try and stave off the blow that may well be coming.
As to what comes next? The answer is simple. Right as I was finishing this post up a new story by Fox News dropped.
On Tuesday, the Supreme Court of New Mexico ordered that Joel Cano “can never hold a judicial office again, be a candidate for a judicial office, and cannot exercise any judicial authority in the state, including officiating at weddings,” according to a spokesman for the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) told Fox News Digital.
Basically, he’s done and the New Mexico State Supreme Court stuck the fork in. Now all that’s left is the people involved are indicted by the DoJ for harboring illegal aliens.
Wait no more! I had just finished this post a few hours ago with plans to upload it when I saw a news story on Facebook. Federal agents have arrested former judge Cano and his wife for harboring illegal aliens. Here are those details from Fox News:
Former Doña Ana County Magistrate Judge Joel Cano and his wife, Nancy Cano, were taken into custody Thursday after federal agents raided their Las Cruces home.
The two face charges of evidence tampering amid allegations they harbored Cristhian Ortega-Lopez, an alleged illegal alien who is also believed to be a member of Venezuela’s notorious Tren de Aragua gang.?
The arrest follows a February incident where Ortega-Lopez was apprehended at the Cano residence. Court documents reveal that he was initially hired by Nancy Cano for home repairs and later offered accommodation in the couple’s guesthouse.
“Doña Ana County has been a hotbed of illegal immigration and drug trafficking, human smuggling for many, many years,” former ICE Field Office Director John Fabbricatore said to WPMI. “To see that a judge would allow this to happen. It’s very concerning. It’s concerning. What else has the judge been doing?”
I have no doubt that all the cases he handled are going to be examined very carefully. It’s obvious that he had nothing but contempt for the law or the Constitutions of the United States and the State of New Mexico. Of course, he is a Democrat so that contempt was to be expected.
“The people of New Mexico are tired of a system where the powerful don’t play by their own rules,” Amy Barela, Chairwoman of the Republican Party of New Mexico, said to the Las Cruces Sun-News. “We demand real accountability for Judge Cano’s connection to a gang-affiliated criminal and full transparency on how our judiciary is being held to the same laws as the rest of us. Enough is enough.”
One problem, of course, is the current Govno of New Mexico, Michelle Lujan Grisham. She has a long history of complete contempt for the Constitution. Last year she literally tried to end the 2nd Amendment by executive order. Now we have a Democrat judge who was harboring invading terrorists.
Without question, the DoJ is going to make an example of these two. It’s not going to be all that hard to prove the case against them. These two arrogant idiots happily supplied all the evidence the prosecution is going to need to lock them up for a few years, or decades. I wonder if we might see a few members of Congress being picked up for the same reasons? We can only hope.
