Good day all. Since President Trump through the good offices of Border Czar Tom Homan began the round up of Illegal Aliens, the Democrats have been going berserk. They’ve also been making utter and complete fools of themselves since they’ve been defending hardened criminals.
Recently several Democrats, some from Congress and the Mayor of Newark, decided to “Pay a visit” to an ICE, (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), facility in New Jersey. Rather then going through the processes and being polite, they basically tried to storm the facility.
It went about as well as you would expect. To start with, the Newark Mayor, Ras Baraka, was told to leave and refused. After ICE repeatedly told him to leave, they arrested him for trespassing. That idiot is now looking at federal charges with a penalty of up to one year in prison and/or a fine. (I suspect that he’s going to trial and if convicted, is going to get the maximum allowed by law)
As you would expect, the other Democrats are all ranting and raving about being abused. These worthies from the House of Representatives are LaMonica McIver, Bonnie Watson Coleman and Rob Menendez. However, things aren’t as the Democrats wished they would appear. The Agents on site were wearing bodycams and now at least one of the Reps, is looking at charges of assault on a federal agent. Here are the details from Fox News:
A trio of U.S. House Democrats from New Jersey whose visit to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention center went off the rails Friday, May 9th, and devolved into a scuffle with federal agents could face arrest, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
Lawmakers LaMonica McIver, Bonnie Watson Coleman and Rob Menendez allegedly stormed the Delaney Hall Detention Center, along with Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, who was arrested and charged with trespassing. Authorities claim an ICE agent was assaulted in the confrontation, which was caught on camera.
When bodycams were first used by law enforcement, many of the police and federal agents opposed it. Then the videos of many confrontations started being shown demonstrating that the Law Enforcement Officials, (Federal and state), were not at fault. Bodycams became a lot more popular at that point, with only really bad cops, (Ones who should never have been given a badge), still not wanting them.
“If it was a typical U.S. citizen, and they tried to storm into a detention facility that’s housing dangerous criminals or any person at all, they would be arrested,” DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told “Fox News Live” host Kevin Corke Saturday.
Actually, depending on the circumstances, they might have been shot,
“Just because you are a member of Congress or just because you’re a public official, does not mean you are above the law.
“If you assault a law enforcement officer, we will also make sure you answer to justice,” she added. “So, I think that arrests are still on the table for this. This is an ongoing investigation.”
I remember when bodycams were first being discussed. The Progressive Liberal Democrats were all in favor of them because it would provide proof that all LEO’s were bad. In the years since, they’ve begun singing a different tune.
DHS reportedly has body camera footage of Congress members assaulting ICE officers, “including body-slamming a female ICE officer,” Axios reported.
What moron thought that would be a good idea? One of the things bodycams do is show these assaults. Occasionally, the videos show that the “Assailant” was actually pushed from behind into the LEO and wasn’t trying to assault anyone. However, this doesn’t appear to be the case here. There is actually a Federal Statute on this, 18 U.S. Code § 111 – Assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers or employees. Now as to the incident in question.
A group of protesters, including the lawmakers, stormed the detention center as a bus of detainees was entering the security gate, according to a news release from DHS.
I found the footage on Fox and it shows a Congressional Tub of Lard trying to bulldoze her way over several Federal Agents. There is absolutely no doubt that she initiated things and that the agents on site were using the absolute minimum of force to try and contain things. (Pity they just didn’t break out the Tazers and night sticks)
After the incident, McIver wrote in an X post that ICE “shoved” her and “manhandled” Watson Coleman. During a press conference, McIver escalated her claims, saying she was “assaulted by multiple ICE officers while regional directors of ICE watched it happen.”
Sadly for that fat moose, DHS had a response to her accusations. Basically it was “Let’s go to the video shall we?”
DHS footage posted to X Saturday appears to show McIver barreling unprovoked through law enforcement near the gate.
“WATCH: US Congresswoman LaMonica McIver (wearing a red blazer), storms the gate of Delaney Hall Detention Center ASSAULTING an ICE agent,” DHS captioned the video.
DHS officials have not yet confirmed any pending charges against those accused of storming the center.
Well they damn well should file charges for a number of reasons. First, far to many Progressive Liberal Democrats think that they are above the law. Convicting one or more of them and putting them in jail will help dissuade others. Second, it will help with the GOP’s control of the House. It will, at least temporarily, reduce the number of Democrats. (There is no way that this fat slob can remain in office if convicted. She will either have to resign or be expelled)
Reading through the Fox News story, all you see is one excuse after the other by the Democrats involved. That or they are blaming everyone else, especially ICE for their own actions. Now as to what happens next? First there will be an investigation. Then a decision on charges will be made. In the “Olden days” these clowns would have been let off with either a warning or a slap on the wrist. The times however, they have changed.
I hope that Attorney General Bondi decides to make an example of these slobs and hits them with the maximum charges allowed under the law. I also want them to receive the maximum sentence if they are convicted. It’s time that the Democrats get the same treatment under the law as anyone else. We are no passed the F.A. stage and are now moving into the F.O. stage, and these moonbats need to Find Out.
