And what, you are asking, did a TDS sufferer do this time? This idiot was so upset that President Trump is the president that he decided to sell secrets to foreign governments. Here are the details from Fox News:
A government employee in Virginia was arrested on Thursday and accused of attempting to share classified information with an officer or agent of a foreign government, the Department of Justice announced.
Nathan Laatsch, a 28-year-old IT specialist employed by the Defense Intelligence Agency since 2019, was arrested after the FBI received a tip in March 2025 that someone was willing to provide classified information to a friendly foreign government.
Obviously, this TDS suffering loser, besides being a traitor, is also an incompetent idiot. There are two ways the FBI would have been “Tipped off” about him. One, he was blabbing what he wanted to do and someone overheard him, or he went to a government that is actually friendly to us, or didn’t need what this moron was selling.
Laatsch was a civilian employee in the DIA’s Insider Threat Division and held a top secret security clearance, according to the DOJ.
I think it’s safe to say, “Not anymore!” The instant the FBI charged him, his clearances were revoked. Now he could appeal this to an Obama or Biden judge. They seem to have decided that they are the final arbiters of who has and doesn’t have a security clearance these days.
An email to the FBI said that the person – later identified as Laatsch – didn’t “agree or align with the values” of the Trump administration, and would be willing to share classified information that he could access, including “completed intelligence products, some unprocessed intelligence, and other assorted classified documentation.”
First, this is a standard nightmare for both government and corporations. By the very nature of the job, people working in Information Technology will have the “Keys to the kingdom” and can access very sensitive data. Most IT people working in this sort of situation are generally to uninterested in the data since there is so much of it and they only might look at it if they are trying to track down a problem.
While I never worked for the government, I did and to some extent, still do have access to some very sensitive information in my real world jobs. Other then making sure it’s properly secured, I can’t be bothered with it. I have way to much to do.
Laatsch communicated with an FBI agent, whom he believed to be a foreign government official, multiple times and would confirm that he was ready to share classified information that he transcribed onto a notepad at his desk, the DOJ said. He allegedly exfiltrated the information from his workspace multiple times over a three-day period in preparation.
The Fox News story goes into the details on how they allowed this James Bond wannabe to basically convict himself. It appears that he never actually managed to reach a foreign government intelligence service. In any case, he made a drop and the FBI recovered a thumb drive with some actual, valuable information on it. Then the FBI provided this loser with ave more rope and instructions on how to tie a the noose and fit it around his own neck.
On May 7, after Laatsch learned that the thumb drive had been retrieved, he allegedly sent a message to the undercover agent appearing to say that he was seeking something in exchange for providing the information.
The following day, he specified that he was interested in “citizenship for your country” because he didn’t expect things in America “to improve in the long term,” the DOJ said. He also allegedly said he was “not opposed to other compensation,” but not in a place where he needed “material compensation.”
It sounds like he was looking to pull a Snowden, and was, if I understand this correctly, looking for his basic living needs to be taken care of. It doesn’t look like he was doing it for money. This makes me think that he’s a died in the wool communist and that “the State will provide.” In any case, he reached out to his “Contact” and arranged to deliver more information to the “Foreign power.” At that point, the “Foreign Power” showed his badge and snapped the cuffs on this clown.
The Fox story has a picture of this bozo. Yeah, he looks like the only time he has ever seen or touched actual female genitalia was the day he was born. Well, he will get something the previous administration had no interest in providing people, a fair trial. I wonder if the DoJ will offer him a deal? Frankly, they shouldn’t. This should go to trial and once he’s convicted, (The apparent evidence looks rather air tight), he gets to spend the next 30 years in a small room with his new boyfriend, Manuel with the MS-13 tattoos. I don’t think even an Obama or Biden judge will be able to get him off.
