Good day all. The violence initiated by the Left against ICE is getting worse. Most of this is happening in the Democrat controlled cities. One of the worst cities is Portland, Oregon. That city is noted for violent attacks on anyone who doesn’t support the Progressives. These rioters know that the local officials support their actions and that not much will happen to them.
Saturday, June 14th, the usual professional rioters went to work and basically mounted an attack on the ICE facility in Portland, Oregon. A number of Law Enforcement Officers were injured in the attack. Here are the details from Fox News:
Multiple police officers were injured in Portland, Oregon Saturday night during a violent riot at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility.
This is a flat out insurrection as defined by the law. It’s also incredibly dangerous and not just for the LEOs.
A mob launched fireworks, smoke grenades and threw rocks at federal law enforcement, as they broke glass and forcibly entered the ICE facility, Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told Fox News Digital.
And this is where it could have gone sideways. The LEOs, at this point, would have been justified to fire on these vermin. That they didn’t shows far more patience and restraint then I have.
Four officers were injured during the attack, though federal law enforcement was able to secure the facility.
I want to know how many of these criminals, because that is exactly what they are, were arrested and how many of those arrests took place at the hospital.
The riot came after the city hosted a “No Kings” protest at 1 p.m., which officials labeled a “large-scale free speech gathering.”
Those “Officials” were probably the city officials from Portland, and I won’t be at all surprised if they weren’t egging things on instead of trying to keep things peaceful. No one has any real issues with actual peaceful protests. Those are your right under the 1st Amendment of the Constitution. The problems arise when the Leftards move right to threats, roadblocks and outright assaults.
Tens of thousands of people marched through downtown and returned to Waterfront Park at about 4 p.m., which is about five miles from the ICE field location.
Fine, who cares as long as they acted peacefully. Therein is the rub. These “Protesters” moved on the ICE facility and the police told them to move along.
The Portland Police Bureau (PPB) declared an unlawful assembly near the facility at about 6:30 p.m. local time, warning it would use crowd control measures, including impact munitions or other physical force, if necessary.
Needless to say, the “Protesters” paid no attention. After all, they are on a mission from Lenin.
About 30 minutes later, PPB said a medical event was reported within the ICE facility and medical personnel needed to enter.
This could have been anything of course. However, it is telling that the police had to keep telling the protesters to behave themselves.
At about 8 p.m., PPB said officers observed criminal activity including assault and criminal mischief and would be making targeted arrests. It is unclear how many arrests, if any, were made.
This is Portland, a communist Democrat run city. Would you care to place a wager that this was nothing more than a catch and release deal? Take the protester(s) a few miles away and kick them out of the car.
“Portland rioters are violently targeting federal law enforcement and we won’t sit idly by and watch these cowards,” McLaughlin said. “Secretary [Kristi] Noem’s message to the rioters is clear: you will not stop us or slow us down. ICE and our federal law enforcement partners will continue to enforce the law. And if you lay a hand on a law enforcement officer, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
The DHS has been addressing the doxxing of ICE agents by the Leftards, and warning them that this has gone far enough. The DoJ, FBI and DHS are already starting to track down some of these Leftist morons. They are going to prosecute and that will send some of these people to a federal prison for a few years. That’s the best case scenario.
The worst case is that a mob goes after a few agents, outnumbers them and the agents decide that their lives are at risk. At that point, the Tasers, rubber bullets and tear gas are forgotten and their sidearms come out and live ammunition is used.
“We will NOT be deterred by rioters’ intimidation and threats,” DHS wrote in the post on X. “ICE immigration enforcement will only ramp up. The violent targeting of law enforcement in Portland, OR by lawless rioters is despicable, and its leaders must call for it to end.”
Those leaders won’t call for an end. Just the opposite in fact. They are now full on moving towards the overthrow of the elected government of the United States. They’re not even trying to hide it any longer. Worse yet, far to many, (and one is to many), elected Democrats are actively threatening federal agents themselves.
You have House Minority leader Hakeem Jeffries actively threatening to “Dox” ICE agents. This chowderhead could, if things go really wrong, end up as the next Speaker of the House. We also have Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy calling for more riots around the country similar to what is happening in Los Angeles.
President Trump has been in office for five months. He is working to keep his promises, just as he did in his first term. The difference is that this time he’s actually far better prepared for the flat out criminal actions of the Democrat Party and their Antifa shock troops. As much as it pains me to say this, I expect things to get a lot worse, and I expect that actual shots will be fired.
I also won’t be at all surprised to see the DoJ indicting Democrat office holders at all levels and they will be charged under 18 U.S. Code § 2383. They are so full of hate for President Trump, the people who support him and the United States, that they are quite willing to trigger another civil war.
The good news is that every time the Democrats “Shock troops” riot, and that the Democrats show that they will put illegal aliens and criminals ahead of American citizens and legal resident aliens, they drop even further in the polls. All the Republicans need to do is not live down to their nickname of “The Party of Stupid,” and they will crush the Democrats in the midterm elections.
In the mean time, anytime one of these protesters crosses the line, hit them with the maximum charges allowed by law and the Constitution. If these criminals are convicted, throw the book at them and put them away for the maximum sentence allowed by law with no parole. Hopefully, seeing that some of their “Friends” are doing hard time will encourage the rest to stop acting like idiots.
