About those poor, hardworking illegal aliens

Good day all. Recently I did a post on a meat packing plant that was raided by ICE, who hauled off dozens of illegal aliens. The post wasn’t about the raid, but the aftermath. There were Americans lined up to fill the now vacant job openings. As you might expect, all the usual suspects, (Leftards), were furious that all those innocent immigrant workers were taken away from their jobs.

Well, as you should know by now, there is always more to the story. In this case it was the news that all those criminal aliens were using stolen ID’s to get around the not being legally in the country and not able to legally get a job. Here are the details from Fox News:

ICE has uncovered a massive identity theft scheme led by illegal immigrants and possibly tied to organized criminal networks following a workplace raid at a meatpacking plant in Omaha.

According to an ICE statement, approximately 70 illegal aliens working at the plant were discovered to be using stolen Social Security numbers and identities to unlawfully obtain employment authorization, wages and benefits at the expense of over 100 victims. The statement said that the victims have faced “devastating financial, emotional and legal consequences” as a result of the identity theft.

Identity theft is a major issue for the victims. The legal consequences can and have resulted in innocent people being arrested, having their assets seized and their reputations ruined.

While the arrests have sparked outrage from some in both the local community and nationally, ICE said the illegals’ identity theft proves they were not innocent, hardworking members of society, as some have suggested.

Another ICE representative told Fox News Digital that the illegal aliens who were apprehended at Glenn Valley Foods were behind the crime and that “some may have used organized criminal networks” to carry out the crime.

And these are the very same people that the Democrats want to had American citizenship to.

The representative said that the investigation is still ongoing and that the exact number of individuals impacted is still unknown.

Well, I think we can say that at least 70 innocent people were affected. Why? That’s how many of these “Poor, innocent” criminals were bagged.

The ICE spokesperson pointed to a few examples of those victimized by the apprehended illegals’ identity theft scheme.

The spokesperson said a disabled person in Texas, who was unable to work, struggled to get their Social Security disability payments because an illegal alien was fraudulently using their identity and earning wages at Glenn Valley Foods.

This is something that should have been picked up automatically. If someone in Texas is collecting disability and someone in Nebraska is collecting a paycheck, then there is some fraud going on here. A simple visit to the person collecting disability could quickly see where the probable fraud was. You would think that there would be some automated system in place to do just this sort of check.

Another victim in Colorado received a notice from the IRS to repay more than $5,000 after their income was falsely increased due to an illegal alien using their identity to work at the plant.

Again, this is something that could very easily be checked. There is no way that a person can be in two places at once. However, all the IRS cares about is stealing honest people’s hard earned money.

Another person living in California has had to work for nearly 15 years to regain their identity and fix the financial damage done by an illegal who was working at Glenn Valley Foods, according to the spokesperson.

I think this person should sue Glenn Valley Foods for damages. They had to know there were things wrong with the ID’s their “Staff” provided.

Mark Zito, special agent in charge of Homeland Security Investigations Kansas City, which covers Omaha, said in a statement emailed to Fox News Digital that “the criminals who stole these identities didn’t just break the law, they upended lives.”

“There have been individuals who have gone on the record recently referring to the identity thieves we arrested last week as ‘good, hardworking, and honest,’” he said. “These so-called honest workers have caused an immeasurable amount of financial and emotional hardship for innocent Americans. If pretending to be someone you aren’t in order to steal their lives isn’t blatant, criminal dishonesty, I don’t know what is.”

“These victims aren’t faceless statistics; they’re real people who are being denied healthcare and have lost educational opportunities,” added Zito.

And the Progressive Liberal Democrats flat out don’t care. I do know that there is something that should be done. Figure out how to help a victim of Identity theft clear up their record. This might be something that should be legislated. An office under the Department of Homeland Security who’s sole purpose is to help victims of Identity theft clear their records.

I will state for the record that I’m not sure how this should be done, but I’m sure there are some bright bulbs out there who can figure it out. (DOGE types would be my guess) Said organization would work with the various agencies once ID Theft has been determined to clear a person’s record, both within government systems and private. (The latter might require a court order) Now I hate doing anything to increase the size of government, but this is something that might just be needed. As for all those leftard idiots who think that Illegal Aliens are basically honest?
