John “The Stache” Bolton’s house & office raided by the FBI

Good day all. John Bolton was once admired by conservatives and respected by some Democrats when it came to dealing with the Soviet Union. He was nicknamed “The Stache” due to his rather prominent mustache. However, things changed after the USSR went out of business. John Bolton didn’t. He continued pushing to involve the United States in wars that, frankly, we had no reason to be involved with.

Bolton’s last hurrah, so to speak, was as President Trump’s National Security Advisor. He lasted a little over a year before his big mouth and demands to deploy United States forces everywhere finally pushed President Trump to fire him. If I recall correctly, the last straw, so to speak, was when President Trump turned an airstrike on Iran around and canceled the operation.

Iran had flung a few missiles at a U.S. base in the middle east and managed to hit the ground and not much else. President Trump authorized a retaliatory raid on Iran, I believe targeting the missile sites. However, since no one was hurt in the attack, President Trump decided that bombing Iran wasn’t the way to deal with them and turned to strike around. (He hit them where it really hurt, in the wallet)

Bolton loudly disagreed with this along with President Trump’s ideas regarding dealing with North Korea. Eventually, Bolton left, either of his own accord or by being shown the door.

Bolton then started the process of publishing a book, The Room Where It Happened, but didn’t go through the usual review process that people who have access to classified information have to when publishing something. Apparently, Bolton had included classified information in the book. Because of this, an investigation was started to see if he actually had used classified information.

This investigations was stopped by the Garland DoJ. (What a shocking surprise) In the mean time, Bolton kept shooting his mouth off regarding President Trump. I don’t think he anticipated what happened next though. President Trump won reelection. Now this is where things get really interesting. John Bolton’s home was raided and searched by the FBI. Here are the details from Newsmax:

FBI agents raided the home and professional office of former national security adviser John Bolton early Friday, August 22nd, as part of a high-profile national security investigation.

A source confirmed to Newsmax that the investigation is focused on the handling of classified documents and national security secrets.

And another source told Newsmax correspondent Alana Austin that the raids are in connection to an investigation “more expansive” than about his classified leaks from book.

Well, one thing about this is that it doesn’t bode well for other members of the Deep State Uniparty, like Felonia von Pantsuit.

The raid began around 7 a.m. ET at Bolton’s residence in Bethesda, Maryland, and was ordered by FBI Director Kash Patel. FBI Director Kash Patel, who in a 2023 book he wrote included Bolton in a list of “members of the Executive Branch Deep State,” posted on X: “NO ONE is above the law… @FBI agents on mission.”

The FBI also secured a search warrant for Bolton’s office. At this point, no charges against Bolton have been filed. Vice President JD Vance was asked about the the search and whether it was politically motivated or not. According to Fox News:

When asked by NBC host Kristen Welker whether the search was motivated by Bolton’s criticism of President Donald Trump, Vance replied, “No, not at all.”

“And in fact, if we were trying to do that, we would just throw out prosecutions willy-nilly, like the Biden administration DOJ did. Prosecutions that later got thrown out in court. If we bring a case, and of course, we haven’t done that yet,” he added.

Vance told Welker that classified documents were part of the reason for the raid but noted there was a broader concern about Bolton, who served as national security advisor during Trump’s first term. He has since become a staunch critic of the president.

“I’ll let the FBI speak to that,” Vance said. “Classified documents are certainly part of it, but I think that there’s a broad concern about Ambassador Bolton. They’re going to look into it. And like I said, if there’s no crime here, we’re not going to prosecute it. If there is a crime here, of course, Ambassador Bolton will get his day in court.”

Apparently, Neither President Trump or Vice President Vance were told that the search was going to be conducted. This does make sense of course. Since they didn’t know about it, they couldn’t be accused of ordering it. You can also see from Vice President Vance’s remarks that he is not accusing Bolton of breaking the law and that if there isn’t anything to this, then, unlike the Biden/Garland DoJ, no charges will be filed.

Bolton’s defenders promptly attacked the investigation, claiming that this had all be settled by the Garland DoJ. I don’t need to comment on that assertion considering everything we saw during Biden’s maladministration. However, it looks like it wasn’t the alleged classified information in the book, but something else, and that something has a families ring to it. Here are the details from the New York Post:

Investigators reopened a dormant probe into Bolton’s alleged use of a private email to send classified national security documents to his wife and daughter from his work desk before his dismissal by Trump in September 2019, according to a senior US official.

While Bolton was a national security adviser, he was literally stealing classified information, utilizing his family as a cutout,” this person charged.

I have a recollection of Bolton’s time as National Security Advisor. As I recall, he spent most of his time locked in his office working on his book and not working on National Security stuff, leaving that to his staff. Now it seems that Bolton was also stealing secrets and making his own family co-conspirators.

Justice Department officials who also served during the Biden administration purportedly told Trump officials that they had been “trying to prosecute this case for four years, and the [Biden DOJ] shut it down,” according to the senior official.

Investigators suspect the pause in the probe may have been motivated by the ex-national security adviser’s public political opposition to Trump.

Now it’s all in the hands of the investigators and the lawyers at the DoJ. They will determine if Bolton broke the law or not. What a lot of people may not be thinking about is how this will play out with regards to Felonia von Pantsuit and her unsecured Bathroom Mail Server and the leaks of classified information by then Representative Adam Schiffhead and Eric Swalwell during the first Trump administration. The charge, if brought, would be espionage and there is no statute of limitations on that. We shall see what happens next.
