Good day all. I had this in my queue. While it seems this might be the wrong time to post it after what happened yesterday, consider that some Democrats have lines that they won’t cross.
We have an unusual story here. Currently, the governor of Virginia, Glenn Youngkin, is term limited and can’t run for reelection. His Lt. Governor, Winsome Earle-Sears, is running for Governor. Now Virginia is a purplish state, thanks to the Northern counties being where all the bureaucrats live.
I have not been following the race that closely. The state tends to swing back and forth, with the Democrats usually doing a huge amount of damage to people’s rights when they’re in charge. Currently, the race is between Winsome Earle-Sears and Abigail Spanberger. Recently, there was an incident at a rally Earle-Sears when a Spanberger volunteer started waving a blatantly racist sign. As expected, this blew up in the Democrats faces. It just confirms what many have known for years. Democrats are the real racists in America and always have been.
However, most people didn’t see what just happened. A well known major donor to the Democrats has donated a really large amount of money to Lt. Gov. Earle-Sears’s campaign. Here are the details from the Daily Caller:
A longtime Democratic donor publicly displayed his support for Republican Virginia gubernatorial nominee Winsome Earle-Sears’ campaign following a racist attack on the black GOP candidate during a protest outside a school board meeting on Aug. 21.
Robert Johnson, co-founder of Black Entertainment Television (BET) and chairman of asset manager RLJ Companies, contributed $500,000 to Earle-Sears’ campaign, Politico’s Playbook reported on Friday. Johnson, one of the United States’ first black billionaires, said he decided to donate to Earle-Sears’ campaign to stand with the lieutenant governor against a racist attack on her campaign.
“Madam Lt. Governor. I was so appalled by that racist diatribe displayed by a useful idiot at a recent press event that I chose to show all the voters of Virginia how Black Brothers stand up to defend and support their Black Sisters when confronted with unadulterated racism,” Johnson wrote to Earle-Sears in a statement provided by the GOP nominee’s campaign. “I have always been a good investor and that’s why I’m investing in you.”
Ok, while I’m glad that Mr. Johnson is donating a ton of money to the Winsome-Earl campaign, his reasons for doing so are just plain wrong. Ms. Earle-Sears has the support of the Republicans because she stands for what most of them want. They do not see her skin color, only that she supports the Republicans of the State of Virginia. She is now going after all the Independents and as many Democrats as she can to win the election.
The Democrats simply aren’t able to get past a person’s skin color and your comments show you in that group. Now if you had simply said that you were sickened by the racist attack on you by one of Spanberger’s volunteers and were donating to her campaign because we don’t need racists running things, that would have been perfect. Instead, you had to make it about skin tone.
Johnson previously donated to former Democratic Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, who failed to win a second term against current Republican Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin in 2021. He also supported former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.
And that tells me all I want to know about him. I would like to think that Mr. Johnson has finally realized that the Democrat Party was using him as they’ve used anyone who could help them, but I’m afraid he may not have. He’s backing Lt. Governor Earle-Sears solely due to the melanin content of her skin, and not for what she stands for and is running on. Well, no matter. We’ll be more than happy to take your money and if/when Lt. Governor Earle-Sears wins, I’m sure she will move to secure the rights of all individual Americans and do her best to protect them.
