Good day all. In the United States, a county sheriff is an elected official. They have all the law enforcement powers of any police officer. They are also a bit more independent with regards to local and state authorities. We generally hear about them when they refuse to enforce some local law that appears unconstitutional. However, we also have a few that on the other side of the political fence.
The recent incident in Minnesota where an ICE agent was forced to fire on someone trying to run him down. I wrote about this the other day. When it happened, the Minnesota Democrats instantly accused the agent of murder. They didn’t have the facts and didn’t care. Most of them saw this as a way to slow down the news of the massive fraud that happened under their watch.
Since then, more video has come out showing that the woman driving the suv did drive at the agent and did clip him. Other information has come out that she was actually a paid professional protester. The investigation is, of course continuing. However, this hasn’t even slowed down the threats being made by Democrats. One is the Sheriff of Philadelphia. She is threatening to arrest ICE agents. Here are the details from Fox News:
Philadelphia Sheriff Rochelle Bilal slammed U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement as “madeup, fake, wannabe law enforcement,” asserting that ICE’s actions violate both “legal law” and “moral law.”
Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner warned that law enforcement officials who commit crimes in Philadelphia will be arrested and charged.
Krasner is a hard left Soros DA best known for not actually doing his job. He won’t prosecute criminals if they meet certain criteria. His office has gotten a number of honest people killed. He is also a big proponent of Lawfare.
“So I’m with the DA,” Bilal declared. “You don’t want this smoke. Cuz we will bring it to you,” Bilal said. In a dig at President Donald Trump, she warned that “the criminal in the White House would not be able to keep” ICE agents from heading to jail.
That sounds awfully insurrectiony to me. It’s also a threat that will backfire badly on her if she tries to interfere with ICE in the performance of their duties. Both she and Krasner will find themselves in handcuff so fast, it will make their collectivist head spin.
Fox News Digital reached out to the Department of Homeland Security for comment on Friday.
DHS doesn’t appear to have responded to Fox, however ICE responded to Bilal’s threats on TwitterX. Bilal is also not what you would consider an honest or competent law enforcement official.

Bilal has previously been slammed with allegations of wild offenses ranging from spending department money on promotional items like trading cards with her likeness to having bogus news stories about her being generated by AI.
I followed the link from Fox and it goes back to a story posted in April of 2024. They were comparing her to former mayor and all around corrupt narcissist Tiffany Henyard. I don’t know if anything she’s done regarding her alleged incompetence would warrant a federal investigation, but if she tries going after federal agents, she is going to learn exactly what FAFO means.
I’m almost hoping she and Krasner team up and try something as stupid as going after Federal Agents. The first problem they have will be officers refusing to carry out the arrests. Even if they could find some officers to attempt to arrest federal agents who are just doing their jobs, they could end up looking down a number of pistols, rifles, and shotguns. If Bilal wants to attract a federal investigation, shooting her mouth off might just do the trick.
