Good day all. I wrote this before Omar had herself hosed down with apple vinegar. Ilhan Omar, (D-Somalia), is a member of congress from Minnesota. There are a number of questions regarding her immigration and naturalization status. There is something about marrying her brother? However, of late there is something else that people are looking at. How she suddenly went from almost broke to worth millions.
Recently, the news regarding the massive welfare fraud happening in Minnesota hit the national consciousness. Most of the fraud so far discovered and in some cases, prosecuted, has been from the Somali immigrant community. Now there are hundreds of federal agents and prosecutors coming into the state to help the current U.S. attorney to unravel the extent of the fraud.
Additionally, they are also looking at the Governor, The Attorney General and a few others to see if they in some way benefited, aided and abetted the crimes or where just so inept and incompetent that the completely missed it. (to the tune of $9 billion dollars? I don’t think so) One of the people now being eyed is Ilhan Omar. There are questions people have. Omar is trying everything to short circuit the investigations. Here are the details from the Daily Caller:
CBS News’ Margaret Brennan pressed Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar on Sunday over massive welfare fraud in the state, after Omar claimed there was “no justification” for the federal response to the scandal.
Federal officials estimated in December that the amount of suspected fraud in Minnesota’s Medicaid program had reached over $9 billion, as multiple federal agencies are investigating the scandal and the Trump administration is pausing payments to the state pending audits of the welfare programs. The vast majority of people charged in connection to the scandal thus far have been of Somali descent.
I would say that upwards of $9 billion dollars is perfect justification for the Federal response, especially since it was federal money to begin with.
“It is just creating fear.”
Good. These criminals have been getting away with this crime wave for years. They should be afraid.
“What they are doing is creating confusion, chaos, trying to intimidate people from being able to exercise their regular normal activities that they would.”
Would those regular, normal activities include stealing taxpayer funds? Money laundering? Using their stolen money to aid Somali terrorists?
“There is no justification in any of the things that they say,” Omar told Brennan on “Face the Nation” Sunday. “The 87 people that you’ve described as being investigated, many of them adjudicated, all happened under the Biden Administration.”
That was no thanks to the Garland DoJ. It was all do to an actual professional United States Attorney who was more concerned with real crime and not with digging through Melania Trump’s underwear draw. I also believe that there have been a few convictions in the last 6 months as well.
“There is no justification for the search.”
Wrong. There are up to 9 billion reasons.
“We know that ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] has the ability to conduct raids. There is no reason to have over 2,000 people coming into our city and creating the level of terror that they have created.”
Nice pivot, but I’ll go with it. ICE isn’t concentrating on the Somali neighborhoods. They are going after some real thugs who would best be deported through a wood chipper. I seem to recall that a number of those picked up aren’t Somali. As to creating terror?
“The federal government and the state have been working peacefully together and have brought justice to these 87 people that you’ve described. None of the search that they have conducted has produced any sort of criminal activity. They haven’t been able to charge anyone as of yet,” Omar claimed.
First, there has been little to now cooperation between the U.S. Attorney’s office and the state of Minnesota. Now these searches you are referring to. Are they being conducted by ICE, searching for illegal aliens or by the FBI searching for financial crimes?
“Well, the administration had also announced they’re going to cut food stamps to Minnesota because some of the money had been embezzled here,” Brennan responded.
“It is being litigated and it is unconstitutional for them to do so,” Omar claimed.
No actually, it isn’t. There is no right to taxpayer funds.
“There is no reason for them to use this level of rhetoric.”
Sure there is. For years the Legacy Media, aka the Democrat Propaganda Corps, has either ignored or buried any stories regarding the massive levels of fraud. They’re still doing so, or at least trying to.
There is no reason for them to fully stop … funding these programs,” the Democrat continued.
When it looks like 50% or more of the money is being stolen, yeah there is plenty of reasons to stop funding the programs. We won’t bother with the political and constitutional questions regarding the Federal Government forcing people to pay charity.
“The only reason they are doing that is for PR [public relations] purposes and it is harming our state, it is harming my constituents and it is creating the kind of chaos and confusion that no one needs in this moment.”
It looks like your “Constituents” are a major crime cartel. Now the question is, how much of a cut did you get Ilhan? Oh I’m sure it was just “Campaign donations,” but how much was your Husbro (Husband/Brother), raking in and sharing with you as some sort of silent business partner? There is already some videos out there of the Attorney General, Keith Ellison appearing to say that he would have the Somali’s back.
Now the FBI is doing what they do best, at least when they aren’t involved in Lawfare. They are doing Forensic Accounting, and I have absolutely no doubt that they are being assisted by the Department of Government Efficiency and the tools that Elon Musk’s team developed.
It will be interesting just how much of the Somali Crime Cartel’s ill gotten gains were spread among Minnesota’s elected officials, both state and federal. I wonder if, perhaps, you’re a bit worried. Considering all the rumors, perhaps you should be.
