Good day all. This is a breaking story, but has been confirmed. Don Lemon, who took part in the “Protest” of a church in St. Paul, Minnesota, has been arrested. This came after a Magistrate with apparent ties to the Minnesota AG’s office and an activist judge refused to sign the warrants. This led Lemon to pull a Maduro and challenge the DoJ.
As I said, this is a breaking story. I had heard a few days ago that Pam Bondi was going to take this to a Grand Jury. It looks like she did and they handed down the indictment for Lemon and several others who took part in the “Protest.” Here are the details from Fox News:
Former CNN host Don Lemon was taken into custody by federal authorities on Friday over his involvement in the viral protest by anti-ICE agitators at a Minnesota church.
Earlier this month, Lemon livestreamed left-wing agitators who stormed St. Paul’s Cities Church under the suspicion that its pastor had collaborated with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Lemon told viewers that “the freedom to protest” is what the First Amendment is all about, but Justice Department officials have been working to hold the participants accountable.
Lemon, who is an arrogant, misogynistic libtard twerp, completely missed what the 1st Amendment says and does. If he and the others had stayed outside of the Church, they could have protested to their cold, deal progressive hearts content and no one would have cared. When they stormed into that church, they started interfering with the churchgoers 1st Amendment right to practice their faith.
Attorney General Pamela Bondi wrote on X, “At my direction, early this morning federal agents arrested Don Lemon, Trahern Jeen Crews, Georgia Fort, and Jamael Lydell Lundy, in connection with the coordinated attack on Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota.”
Well, that is a bit of a first for her. Her mouth actually wrote a check that he actions could actually cash. Perhaps she’s finally learning?
The specific charges against Lemon have not been announced. DOJ officials have previously suggested the former CNN star and the other anti-ICE agitators had violated the FACE Act and the Ku Klux Klan Act, among other crimes.
I wrote a post on why Lemon hadn’t already been arrested. This was in answer to some people I know complaining that he wasn’t just tossed into jail and waterboarded. When the DoJ couldn’t get an honest judge to do his/her jobs, they had to go the Grand Jury route and that takes time. Well, like a fine wine, Don Lemon’s time has come.
Lemon’s arrest was confirmed by his lawyer, Abbe Lowell.
“Don has been a journalist for 30 years, and his constitutionally protected work in Minneapolis was no different than what he has always done,” Lowell said in a statement. “The First Amendment exists to protect journalists whose role it is to shine light on the truth and hold those in power accountable. There is no more important time for people like Don to be doing this work.”
I know that lawyers are paid to say things like this in defense of their clients, but please, perhaps now is the time to minimize the verbiage? You are representing a real dirtbag and I think you may have a real tough time getting an acquittal. There is Lemon’s own videos that will be put into evidence and used against him.
“Listen loud and clear: WE DO NOT TOLERATE ATTACKS ON PLACES OF WORSHIP,” Bondi wrote on X.
And, as I mentioned, it’s nice to see her actually putting her money where her mouth is. To bad Lemon didn’t consider that she actually meant what she was saying and decided to remind everyone that he is a narcissistic jerk.
Lemon, however, remained defiant, daring the DOJ to make him “into the new Jimmy Kimmel.”
“I stand proud, and I stand tall,” Lemon said on his YouTube show last week. “This is not a victory lap for me, because it’s not over. They’re going to try again, and they’re going to try again. And guess what? Here I am. Keep trying.”
“That’s not going to stop me from being a journalist. You’re not going to diminish my voice. Go ahead. Make me into the new Jimmy Kimmel if you want,” Lemon told the DOJ. “Just do it! Because I’m not going anywhere.”
Oh yes you are Donny boy. First to central booking, then to court for arraignment, then bail hearings and eventually a trial. With luck, you’re also going to prison, but that is up to a jury. Now the usual suspects on the left are up in arms over this.
The Freedom of the Press Foundation (FPF) blasted the arrest.
“Two federal courts flatly rejected prosecuting Lemon because the evidence for these vindictive and unconstitutional charges was insufficient, and Lemon has every right to document news and inform the public. Instead of accepting that humiliating defeat, the government has now doubled down,” FPF Chief of Advocacy Seth Stern said.
You had a pretend judge magistrate with ties to Keith Ellison. Then you had an activist judge who is pro-illegal alien. Since those were simple arrest warrants that were denied, Bondi and the DoJ took the long path and went to a grand jury. They decided that there was enough to arrest Lemon and issued the warrants.
Now it’s in the hands of the courts. I’m sure we’re going to be hearing a lot about this and the Left trying to make Lemon a martyr. They are quick to forget reason Lemon was fired from CNN. He is a woman hating loudmouthed jerk who put CNN into legal jeopardy with his mouth. His misogyny certainly didn’t help matters. Now he is learning what FAFO means.
