Good day all. You may have already noticed that there have been a few minor changes to the Musings of the Angry Webmaster. The header image along with the avatar’s have been changed. The original image, that of a bearded raging maniac has been replaced with a new image of a raging maniac.
The original image was that of a Pakistani who became unintentionally famous about 20-30 years ago. He was constantly showing up in pictures of protests by radical islamics. He soon became known as “Islamic Rage Boy” and became an early meme. As I recall, he was eventually identified and interviewed and was surprised at his fame, or infamy.
When I set up the original Anger Central rant site, I found his image and basically went “MINE!” I eventually added him to all of the socialist media sites I’m on as my icon. Sadly, the time has come to retire Islamic Rage Boy for a new avatar. Yesterday, I was slumming on faceplant when I saw an image of someone I knew. This person had run her picture through ChatGPT and came up with a nice caricature.
I saw that, recalled an image I had and did the same thing with Grok. I tweaked it a bit and came up with a pair of images that just seemed perfect for the site. As you can see, I’ve made updates to the header and a few other places and have been updating the avatars on the various Socialist media platforms I infest. Since I have a premium subscription to TwitterX, they pulled my blue check mark until the new image was approved. I don’t see any issues with it. I hope that you all approve of the change. I also hope the guy who’s image I stole never finds out.
