Good day all. As we watch Epic Fury unleashed on the Iranian terrorist regime, we have people, almost all on the Left, but a few on the right, saying that the United States should not be bombing Iran. They are claiming that this will be yet another “Forever War.”
These people aren’t wrong, in the sense that we don’t want to spend 20 years in some Islamic country trying to do nation building. I’m one of those people. We saw the morons and idiots, aka Neocons, of the Bush Administration, (Either and both of them), who wouldn’t do what needed to be done to just finish the job.
Up until Korea, the United States had a very simple base line strategy. Smash the enemy flat and then kick them when they were down to make sure they never again become a threat to the United States. This is generally referred to as the “Jacksonian” way to fight a war. Basically, you throw everything at the enemy, including the kitchen sink.

Korea was the first time we didn’t follow this strategy. As much of an Ass MacArthur was, he was correct with regards to how to fight the war in Korea. The Truman administration, especially Harry Truman, didn’t like MacArthur, considering him to be an insubordinate loose cannon interested in himself. He was of course.
We finally managed to not lose South Korea at the cost 34,000 dead Americans. Then we had Vietnam, a war that, bluntly, should never have been fought. That fiasco lasted roughly 10-15 years for America and costs us 50K+ American lives. Next was the Global War on Terror with the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq.
The initial invasion into Afghanistan was working until the Bush Administration started tying the military’s hands. We then spent the next 20 years trying to nation build and not doing what needed to be done to shut down the Taliban once and for all. Iraq was another war we now know really wasn’t needed.

This brings us to the Iran and Operation Epic Fury. This is a combined assault on Iran’s leadership and military/terrorist leadership. The usual suspects are ranting and raving about the War Powers act and this being an illegal war. What they are either don’t realize or are ignoring is that we have been at war with Iran since 1980. No, Congress didn’t declare war on Iran. Iran has declared war on the United States, repeatedly. With the most recent declaration being last year after Israel and the United States took out Iran’s nuclear weapons program.
Iran has also been carrying out acts of war against the United States since 1979 and the takeover of the American embassy. Iran has killed thousands of Americans, primarily Military personnel over the decades. On a few occasions, the United States “Proportionally” retaliated. One of these events was Operation Praying Mantis. At the time, we, proprotionally, sank half the Iranian navy.
This time, the word “Proportional” is being used in a somewhat different context. We are using the appropriate proportion of ordnance to completely destroy the Iranian terrorist government and all of the systems they use to terrorize the world. President Trump has untied the hands of the military and has, in so many words, told Hegseth to “Go Jacksonian” on the mullah’s asses and that is exactly what has been done so far and continues to be done.
The initial strike killed the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and almost all of the Iranian leadership. It didn’t end there. According to Fox News, the Israeli and United States took out everyone else in the line of succession.
President Donald Trump said U.S. military strikes on Iran have eliminated much of the regime’s anticipated leadership succession bench, raising new questions about who will emerge to lead the Islamic Republic after the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
“Most of the people we had in mind are dead,” Trump told reporters Tuesday. “So, you know, we had some in mind from that group that is, is dead. And now we have another group. They may be dead also based on reports. So, I guess you have a third wave coming in. Pretty soon we’re not going to know anybody.”

The worst case scenario would be someone taking over who is even worse then Ali Khamenei.
“That could happen,” Trump said. “We don’t want that to happen. It would probably be the worse you go through this, and then, in five years, you realize you put somebody in who was no better. We’d like to see somebody in there that’s going to bring it back for the people, and we’ll see what happens with the people. You know, they have their chance.”
Somehow, I don’t think that is a likely scenario.
The remarks come as Israeli strikes hit the building in the holy city of Qom, Iran, associated with the country’s Assembly of Experts, the 88-member clerical body constitutionally responsible for selecting the next supreme leader, Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson Effie Defrin confirmed to Fox News Digital.
This is where things have differed going back to probably Reagan. None of the presidents since Reagan have been willing to just remove the massive boils running Iran. A couple, (Obama and Biden), actively aided the Iranian government.

The responses from the Iranian IRGC are what you would expect from someone low down on the totem pole who can’t reach higher authority, since they’ve all be blown up, and is acting on orders from a contingency book. They have been firing missiles and drones at everybody.
This level of stupidity has turned every one of the Gulf states against Iran. While the United States has no intention of sending in troops, Saudi Arabia and the others? Yeah they might. You also have the religious issue. The Iranians are predominantly Shia Muslims and the Arab world, (Understand that the Iranians aren’t Arabs, their Persians), is predominantly Sunni Muslims. They two sects don’t particularly like each other to much.
This brings us to the thing that Americans have learned to hate, especially since we suck at it. Nation Building. We’ve been trying to do Nation Building since the end of World War Two. We succeeded with rebuilding Germany and Japan for a very simple reason. We conquered them and for all intents and purposes ruled them. We flat out imposed our vision on them. Since both Germany and Japan had been basically flattened, and in Japan’s case, nuked twice. The people were fed up with how things had been and were ready for a change.
Ever since then, every time the Ivy League educated morons of both parties tried to nation build, they have failed miserably. It’s already been stated that the United States is not going to “Build the nation” of Iran. We’re just going to wipe out all the bad actors that have made things bad for the Iranian people and the rest of the world. We’re kicking down the door and telling the Iranians, “Ok, here’s your chance. Don’t screw it up.”

President Trump isn’t starting another “Forever War,” he’s actually trying to end one and on our terms, not the enemy’s. Biden and the Democrats ran away from Afghanistan, surrendering billions of dollars of valuable equipment to them. Then they started sending them money.
President George W. Bush, who could have gotten the job done, decided to do what all the neocons and Ivy league idiots told him was an easy task. Get bin Laden, drive out the Taliban and the Afghan people will love us. he managed to screw that up. Then they thought, “Let’s get rid of Saddam Hussein and the Iraqi people will love us. Then their arrogance, ineptitude and flat out stupidity came out and that gave us the forever wars.
Now the Trump administration is doing what should have been done decades ago. Ending a regime that has killed thousands of Americans and founded terrorist groups around the world. We aren’t sending in soldiers, (Well perhaps a few on very specific missions such as rescuing downed pilots), and we are also doing something we have done in almost a century. We are not holding back. We have targets, we have a goal and we are working towards that goal. One of those goals is NOT rebuilding the nation of Iran. That is for the Iranian people to do. What we are doing is a punitive raid. Once we have run out of targets, we’re done.
