Good day all. Last Friday, April 3rd, the niece and grandniece of General Qasem Soleimani were arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Los Angeles. This caught me by surprise since I didn’t know they were even in the United States to begin with.
Apparently, they came into the United States in 2015, were granted asylum in 2019 and were given green cards in 2021. This all occurred before President Trump splattered their uncle, Qasem Soleimani all over the middle east.

These two have apparently been living large in Los Angeles, at least they were until April 3rd. Now they are awaiting deportation. Here are the detail from Fox News:
Two relatives of slain Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Maj. Gen. Qasem Soleimani living in Los Angeles were taken into custody by federal agents after Secretary of State Marco Rubio revoked their green cards, officials said.
Hamideh Soleimani Afshar, identified as Soleimani’s niece, and her daughter were arrested and are now being held by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), according to an announcement Saturday from the State Department.

The Trump administration says Afshar has been a supporter of Iran’s “totalitarian, terrorist” regime.
“Afshar is the niece of deceased Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani,” Rubio wrote on X. “She is also an outspoken supporter of the Iranian regime who celebrated attacks on Americans and referred to our country as the ‘Great Satan.’
Ok, so the mother is mindbogglingly stupid. What about the daughter? If my math is correct, she’s been here since she was 15 and, judging from some of the pictures I’ve seen, may not be as interested in the joys of life in Iran as her mother appears to be.
“[Afshar] pushed this propaganda for Iran’s terrorist regime while enjoying a lavish lifestyle in Los Angeles, as attested to by her frequent posting on her recently deleted Instagram account,” the department said.
Apparently, Afshar had applied to become a U.S. citizen and, besides shooting her mouth off, apparently traveled back to Iran several times. Since she came her with her daughter claiming asylum, going back to the country you allegedly fled in terror from isn’t a good look. As for her daughter, Sarinasadat Hosseiny, she might actually be innocent in all this. According to the New York Post:
Hosseniy, 25, also entered the US in 2015 on a student visa. She became a green card holder in 2023. Her online persona was at odds with the Shia Islam her mother espoused.
That might actually count in her favor. If she has rejected the Islamic Republic, then her claim of asylum may actually be valid. Her mother though? Have a nice flight out of the country. Hosseniy may put up a legal fight over this, especially if she has done nothing to violate the conditions of her visa. Considering the pictures I’ve seen of her, if she goes back to Iran, she’s probably going to be executed by the IRGC.
Still, if there is something there regarding her ties to the Iranian regime, besides being related to her uncle, road kill Soleimani, then yep, she gets to enjoy life in a burka and becoming a virtual slave. I’m sure more details on her life will be coming out soon. Besides, there are tens of thousands of Iranians living in the United States who are cheering the actions of the Trump Administration.
