FIFA considering asking Trump to halt ICE enforcement

Good day all. Like most Americans, I wasn’t aware, or gave a damn, that the World Cup was being played in the United States. Apparently though, it is. One of the things that concerns the Eurotrash Elite is President Trump securing the borders of the United States and kicking illegal aliens out.

This has led The Fédération Internationale de Football Association, better known to everyone else in the world since Americans don’t care, as FIFA, to consider asking President Trump to basically give all the ICE agents a vacation while the World Cup is being played. Here are the details from Newsmax:

FIFA, the world governing body for soccer, has discussed asking President Donald Trump to pause immigration enforcement operations during the 2026 World Cup, according to The New York Times.

I find it interesting that it’s the New York Slimes that has this story. Actually I don’t, especially when you see what the “Ask” is.

FIFA executives have urged FIFA President Gianni Infantino to make a direct request for a nationwide halt to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement activity during the 39-day tournament.

That must be some might fine crack you’re smoking there dude.

The discussions began with a focus on keeping enforcement away from stadiums in the 11 U.S. host cities.

FIFA executives later expanded the scope to surrounding areas and ultimately to a proposed nationwide pause for the full duration of the tournament.

On what planet do these morons live? It can’t be planet Earth. The entire world knows that one of the primary goals of the Trump Administration is the removal of everyone who is not a lawful resident alien or otherwise in the country legally. There is no way in any universe that President Trump would consider pausing ICE operations for a sports event.

Infantino reportedly indicated he was open to raising the issue directly with Trump as a president-to-president request.

ICE Acting Director Todd Lyons has said the agency would play a “key part” in World Cup security, primarily through Homeland Security Investigations.

Of course they are. Besides making sure that everyone coming in to see the World Cup has the appropriate visas, they are also going to be part of the response to keep terrorists from causing trouble. In case you idiots haven’t noticed, and considering who you are, you probably haven’t, Iran would like nothing better than to cause a mass casualty event at one of the World Cup matches.

Labor unions and members of Congress have raised concerns that enforcement could extend beyond security roles to operations near games.

Some FIFA member federations have also raised concerns about how enforcement could affect traveling fans.

That actually depends on the fans. If they have the proper visa stamps in their passports and they are obeying our laws, then there is no problem. If they don’t have the proper visas or they cause trouble? They are gone. I recall a story about the first time the World Cup came to the United States.

As I recall, British fans had been making complete asses of themselves all across Europe. They were fighting, rioting, drunk, disorderly and stupid and generally acting like thugs. When they were getting ready to come to the United States, someone told these ninnies that never mind the police, the American citizens have guns and they will shoot. There were no incidents of any note.

In a May 2025 letter, Human Rights Watch urged Infantino to act on U.S. immigration policies ahead of the World Cup and the Club World Cup.

“We write to express grave concerns about the impact of current United States immigration policies on the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2025 US Club World Cup,” the group wrote.

That impact? The Trump Administration is enforcing the laws and removing criminal illegal aliens from the United States. Enforcing the laws and removing illegals is something that Human Rights Watch opposes. Those commies liked the open borders under the Biden Maladministration.

Human Rights Watch also urged FIFA to “seek a public guarantee from federal authorities to refrain from immigration enforcement at games and venues.”

FIFA executives reviewed fan complaints from the 2025 Club World Cup, including reported sightings of federal agents at stadiums.

Who cares about “Fan” complaints regarding ICE and other federal agents being in the stadiums? I suspect their primary reason for being there was security and making sure there were no problems like some Muslim having an attack of Sudden Jihad Syndrome. Protecting these events is a manpower intensive job and local law enforcement simply doesn’t have the resources to cover the venues.

A Department of Homeland Security spokesman denied enforcement activity at those events, calling such claims “another case of fearmongering.”

I don’t see any real issues with foreign fans coming here, going to the games and generally having a good time. If law enforcement asks a few questions, they just need to see your passports and the visa stamp and then they will say have a good day and move on. To be honest, I don’t even see that happening unless some sort of issue happens. What I do see is the Eurotrash Elites and American Libtards trying to use the World Cup to stop arrests and removals of illegal aliens, aka future Democrat voters. It’s not going to happen and I don’t see FIFA actually wasting anyone’s time asking.
