Good day all. A couple of months ago, President Trump invited then Attorney General Pam Bondi to spend more time with her family and take care of her health. It wasn’t that she was useless like Sleepy Sessions, or disloyal, (And hiding it), like Bill Barr. She was basically over her head. She meant well, but things needed to happen that weren’t.
Anyway, she had to go. Her termination was actually polite with everything, including President Trump thanking her. Since then, Todd Blanche has been acting Attorney General. He has been, frankly hell on wheels as Acting AG. Now President Trump has nominated Todd Blanch to be the next Attorney General of the United States. Here are the details from Fox News:
President Donald Trump said Wednesday, June 4th, evening that he plans to nominate acting Attorney General Todd Blanche to permanently lead the Department of Justice.
“Tomorrow I’m instructing Dan [Scavino] and everybody else that’s involved in that very complicated process, which is gonna go, I think, very quickly, that we are going to make him permanent Attorney General,” Trump said in the video, which was recorded during a Rose Garden Club Dinner on Wednesday evening at the White House.
Trump also said he was not actively considering other candidates and praised Blanche’s performance since taking over the role.
I know that there have been several other names dropped. One was Harmeet Dhillon. Which she would be a good choice, she is, in my opinion, right where she needs to be. With Mr. Blanche, and his work as acting AG, President Trump knows he can count on him, unlike the last pair of losers from his first administration.
Now the usual rigamarole begins. Mr. Blanche’s nomination will be submitted to the Senate. He will appear in front of, I believe, the Judicial Committee and the Democrats will be Democrats and accuse him of everything that they did under the Garland DoJ. Since the GOP does control the Senate, unless the RINO’s and Never Trump TransRepublicans cause a problem, within a month or so, Todd Blanch will be the next Attorney General.
