Good day all. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has a number of centers where they hold illegal aliens until they can get them shipped out of the country. One of these in in New Jersey and has become the new “Ground Zero” for the Democrats and their assault on America.
The center in question is Delaney Hall in Newark, New Jersey, has been the site of flat out attacks by the Left, with multiple attempts to break into the site. At least one elected official is now facing criminal charges because of attacks on Federal Agents.
These assaults on the center, and that is what they are, have been escalating and forcing Federal Agents do deal with what amounts to riots. In these situations, they would normally call local police to help deal with this and, hopefully, get the rioters to stop. Now the Newark police have been ordered to ignore call from Delaney Hall. Here are the details from the New York Post:
Newark cops were ordered to steer clear of Delaney Hall even after violent weekend clashes rocked the detention facility, an internal police memo obtained by The Post revealed.
The June 8 memo illustrates the jurisdictional mess at the now infamous detainee facility, which has become the center of angry protests with police arresting people from around the country and chilling footage showing instigators slamming the vehicles of Delaney Hall workers.
These are not local people. This is a network of domestic terrorists who are violent and who are willing to cause injury or even death of federal agents.
“No officers are to handle any call for service pertaining to Delaney Hall located at 451 Doremus Ave.,” according to the Newark PD 3rd Precinct Memorandum, under the subject heading “Delaney Hall Call for Service.”
“If officers are dispatch[ed] to a call they are to immediately notified [sic] their field supervisor or the desk boss,” according to the order from 3rd Precinct Commander Capt. Maik Alexandre.
The “tenets of the memorandum” would be the subject of roll call throughout the week, underlining its seriousness, according to the document.
This order can only have come from the Mayor’s office. He has been trying to shut down Delaney Hall for years. Like all Democrats, he hates the United States and supports the open borders that have brought in millions of illegal aliens. He isn’t alone in that the New Jersey Governor, Mikie Sherrill, has also been trying to interfere with ICE since she took office.
“It’s all political theater here,” said one Newark cop, who blamed the decision to order local officers away from the facility on Democratic Mayor Ras Baraka.
The beat cops know where the blame lies. It’s with that corrupt dirtbag of a mayor.
Gov. Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ) deployed New Jersey state police May 29, then pulled back after getting hammered by her base, transferring authority to Newark police.
There were reports the feds had been planning a big infusion of personnel, something some state officials have been pleading for to help keep order.
I followed that link to another New York Post article. It’s not kind to Mikie Sherrill.
“Night after night of unhinged criminal riots while @GovSherrillNJ now cowers in the corner, tail between her legs, taking her marching orders from a gaggle of unhinged rioters & useful idiots in the liberal media who paint violent aggressors as victims,” ripped NJ Assemblywoman Dawn Fantasia on X, reacting to the latest riot outside the federal facility.
“Her next steps are dictated by the fear of how her actions will impact votes in her quest for higher office,” added the Republican lawmaker, who is calling for federal intervention in Newark.
“This reactive mindset makes for terrible leadership. NJ is collateral damage in her audition for the Democrat presidential nomination,” she added.
Presidential nomination? She just got sworn into office last January as Governor. To date, she has achieved nothing at all and has let the lunatic left literally run riot. Ok, considering the current state of the Democrat party, she might just have a shot. Returning to to the original story.
“There’s no doubt in my mind that Newark and our state police — so that’s our governor — have an obligation to defend fellow law enforcement from total abuse,” Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ) told The Post.
“I think they could do more. Someone’s going to get hurt, then they’re going to blame the ICE police officer for the mistreatment,” he said.
No, it isn’t that someone is going to get hurt. It’s that someone, possibly a lot of someone’s are going to get killed. They way things are going, eventually the federal agents will drop the less than lethal stuff and start using live ammo. There have already been a number of incidents with two fatalities. Of course, this is exactly what the Democrats want so they can wave the bloody shirt and demand amnesty for all the illegals and open borders to import more.
Baraka griped about the involvement of local police, even after violent clashes between demonstrators and cops at Delaney Hall resulted in multiple arrests.
“Last night, the Newark Police Division (NPD) responded to a call regarding provocateurs at Delaney Hall who were blocking the facility’s entrance. It is my position that NPD should not have been called to intervene in this situation,” Baraka said in a Monday statement.
Oh really? Isn’t it the job of the police to stop lawbreakers? You know, they are in the process of committing crimes, someone calls the police for help, and when we have a major incident happening, you respond? Granted the Supreme Court has repeatedly said that individuals can’t expect the police to protect them, but we aren’t talking about an individual. We are talking about a riot.
The responsibility for maintaining security rests with private company GEO, which has a $1 billion, 15-year contract to operate Delaney, Baraka insisted.
That’s inside the facility you moron. Outside, on the streets, that is the responsibility of Newark and New Jersey.
“Asking Newark police officers to assume that role places an unnecessary burden,” he claimed.
Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ), who recently toured Delaney and spoke to its “excellent” exercise facilities which include yoga, said there was a “brief moment in time, the sunshine came through” when state and local police were coordinating to protect First Amendment activities and stop vandalism.
“I am embarrassed and disturbed to say we’ve gone the opposite direction: got rid of the state troopers, and the Newark police got rid of those few and reduced the numbers they had there. And it was shameful to the people that work there,” he said.
Not just shameful, but dangerous.
“The powers that be in New Jersey, the governor and others, better hope than nobody gets profoundly hurt or that nobody dies. Because this is a bad formula. It’s a formula for disaster,” he said.
That’s exactly what they want. They would prefer dead and injured federal agents, the facility overrun and all the criminals released, but they will be fine with a number of these “Protesters” dead and injured. What that moron of a mayor doesn’t seem to be considering is the response from the Trump administration. I can pretty much guarantee he won’t like it and neither will Govno Sherill.
If the worst case scenario were to happen, President Trump would pretty much have everything he needs to declare a state of martial law in, at least, Newark, and sending in the military. Baraka would find himself under arrest, with a good chance that Sherill would be in the next cell over. What that knucklehead of a mayor is doing is setting up an insurrection, not the pretend one that they love to accuse the January 6th Protesters of doing, but a real one.
Right now I think the DoJ needs to start reviewing what is going on in Newark and with this incompetent mayor. If he’s going to refuse legitimate police assistance, then pull any and all federal funding. I would also start giving him and his administration a quiet but very thorough investigation. He’s a Democrat politician in New Jersey. With those people, the old saying usually holds true. Where there’s smoke, there is a fire.
