Good day all. Not long ago, Ilhan Omar decided that it was a bad idea to announce that she had some $30 million dollars and rewrote her financial statements to say that the most she had was $100K. That cunning plan blew up in her face and she is being investigated.
However, rather than trying to get out from under the mess she’s made, she and her husband, the one who is not her brother, decided that doubling down was the way to go. Her husband is now saying that he only made $200 last year. Here are the details from the New York Post:
Scandal-scarred Rep. Ilhan Omar and her hubby have gone from the penthouse to the poorhouse. The husband of the Minnesota “Squad” firebrand — who once valued his venture capital and wine empire at up to $30 million — now claims to be pocketing as little as $200 a year.
The embattled socialist claimed hubby Tim Mynett made no income last year from his main business, Rose Lake Capital, according to her newly released 2025 financial disclosure report. The only money Mynett — who has nearly two decades of experience in DC — earned last year is a meager $200 to $1,000 from his defunct California-based wine business eStCru, which sold bottles such as “The Devil’s Lie” before going belly up in April.
Do these two idiots have a clue what this can and probably will lead to? Here’s a hint.
The head-scratching financial disclosure comes after the couple in 2024 reported sudden ballooning wealth — from close to nothing to between $5 million and $30 million — sparking intense public scrutiny. That spurred a Congressional investigation into Omar’s finances, just as a massive social services fraud scheme involving the Somali community in her district was blowing up.
The Nick Shirley video that brought the massive fraud in Minnesota, currently estimated to be between $9-18 billion dollars, into the national consciousness, The Democrats in Minnesota began running for cover. I’ve already written about Tim Walz and Keith Ellison probably looking at criminal indictments. Now investigators are looking into Omar. Omar responded to all this with the new financial disclosure forms saying she was almost broke.
No one is buying what she’s selling, especially since the person who did her books and filled out the disclosure forms blasted Omar. Now, with the latest load of manure, it looks like Omar never learned the first rule of holes. When you find yourself in one, STOP DIGGING!
I have no idea what is going to come out from all this. I know what I want to happen. Ilhan Omar indicted, tried, convicted and sent to prison. While she’s serving her sentence, her citizenship is revoked and she is deported back to Somalia on her release from the house of many doors.
